This is a fun place to visit when your in Tombstone! I went here after I ate and walked around the city and walked in.At first you see some souvenirs. Then you can enter in the area that explains how they made the newspapers. It was very interesting to learn about!

A cute little museum + mini gift shop. It's nice and cool inside, they run the A/C to encourage people to come in and look around for awhile, haha! You will see all kinds of interesting old equipment that was used to originally create the Tombstone Epitaph newspaper for the town back in the 1880s. There's also plenty of reading material on the walls, if you're a history buff (like my dad is). The gift shop is small, but there are some t-shirts and other trinkets like magnets, mugs, keychains, etc. to get as souvenirs. There is also a documentary running on a loop on a TV on the wall. The shop owner was friendly. We were given a complementary replica of the copy of the Tombstone Epitaph that detailed the famous shooting that took place between the Earps and the Clantons because we had watched the gunshow at the O.K. Corral.

Awesome historical museum that is a must stop for anyone interested in old printing presses. This shop has an entire intact functional printing press from the late 1800's. The gentleman who worked there was very educated on the whole process and was happy to share some very cool facts. We walked out a little smarter and with a replica newspaper.

My wife and I took a side trip to Tombstone from Tucson while on vacation and when you buy the OK Corral ticket for $10 (Great deal, you get 4 things for the $10) you get a free newspaper from the day of the OK Coral gunfight. We had two tickets, so the dude behind the counter gave us a more current version of their monthly newspaper which describes wild west history. That was very cool of him. They also have a cool museum in the back with old printing presses and typeset machines. They also have old copies of the town newspaper displayed for important moments in their history. The Geronimo surrender was really interesting, as he did it in Tombstone to the Federales.Definitely check it out if you get the OK Corral ticket, since it is right around the corner, but you can also tour the museum for free if you want. Totally worth the 15-20 minutes to check it out.

The Tombstone Epitaph has a museum space, but it is also a functioning business. In fact, it is the oldest newspaper in Arizona and the oldest business in Tombstone. The museum is free to visit, and it covers the history of the Epitaph and John Clum, its founder. The museum's artifacts will also show you how newspapers were printed during the 1880s. If you purchased a ticket at the O.K. Corral, you can get a free reprint of the Epitaph from the date that the O.K. Corral gunfight was reported on. Otherwise, the reprint is on sale for $3. Other historical editions are on sale as well. The Epitaph is open from 9:30 A.M. to 6 P.M. and is a good stop if you want to learn more about Tombstone.

Nice history lesson on how their printing press worked. Plenty of stories to read throughout the entire shop that include articles on Geronimo as well as other local and Alaska gold rush adventures. Yes, there is a free copy of the paper available (it's not really "free," you have to buy a package of tickets that include the OK corral shootout re-enactment to get the "free" newspaper). However, if the family goes and everyone gets the same "free" paper, it might get a little boring - so, problem solved, they also have another edition available for those who would like something a little different than what everyone else in the family is getting.

All the news... Newspaper office. The Epitaph is the oldest continually published newspaper in Arizona and the oldest continually operating business in Tombstone. Excellent history of the paper and how the paper was printed, as well as a history of the original owner and publisher John Clum. You get a copy of the paper that reported the Gunfight at the OK Corral as part of the OK Corral show and the Tombstone Historama admission, You can see everything at the Epitaph in about an hour. Well worth the visit, A historical gem.

This will be a quick but interesting place to stop by. If you go to O.K. Corral they give you a coupon for a free copy of the newspaper about the O.K. Corral shootout dated October 26, 1881. They have old printing equipment and some articles and photos on the walls which was very interesting. The woman at the counter was so kind.

I think this is a must-see in Tombstone. Most of the shop is an interesting museum-like display about the history of the Epitaph, including some neat photos and stories you won't see elsewhere. I love that they're still printing! A newspaper makes a good inexpensive souvenir, especially good for kids/students. Know that they don't accept credit cards, though.

We were given "free" tickets for a news paper here. We were told she closes at noon so make sure to get there before noon. We arrived at 1154 AM and she closed the door in our faces. I held up our tickets and she shouted through the door to come back later. We are on our way out of town from Ohio. Not much chance of that happening. How rude.
