I am not a golfer, or at least a round-ball golfer (I'm a disc golfer) but a friend took me out to this course to give it a try. So that's my disclosure.I will say that I am truly impressed. This is a Phil Mickelson course and my friend explained to me that when it first opened, it was designated as the best desert golf course in the country. I believe it.The course itself is in a gorgeous setting. From various spots on the course, you have spectacular views of all the mountain ranges and the city of Tucson. The course is placed in the middle of rolling hills and the Sonoran desert, so you have lush, Sonoran vegetation all around. Such a pleasure to be out in such a natural environment. The course itself is fairly long. It is not a question of IF you will rent a cart, they just give you a cart. Of course, it is all included in the membership, but more on that later. The course is fun and challenging. There are three very long pins. There are no groves of trees, the largest plants you'll see are Saguaro cactus, so there are not many dog leg type of holes around tall bark. But the traps are strategically placed and if you are unfortunate enough to hit one outside the fairway, you'll be in rock and cactus.A nice perk about being in among the Sonoran desert is the wildlife. We saw a rattle snake slowly slithering off the fairway into the rough on one hole, a family of five white-tail deer not 15 feet from us, and watched a huge raptor flying above us. Very cool. The greens and fairways are maintained and looked beautiful among the desert surroundings. Everything on this course is well maintained. The cart path is fun in and of itself as it has many elevations and curves--my partner had fun driving us around and it almost felt like a Disney ride. There are coolers in strategic places filled with ice and water bottles. Each cart has a cooler with four water bottles. There is a drink cart that makes the rounds with water and pop. When you drive up, an employee greets the member, in this case by name, and took my friend's bag to the cart. When we finished, it was a different employee and he took my friend's bag to his car and asked him if he was driving the Jag today (he also addressed my friend by name) and he even knew the special way he had to put it in the trunk to make it fit.So lots of perks. We ate at the club house restaurant. He had an awesome looking quesadilla with chicken and I had a salmon sandwich. Both were excellent. The sweet potato fries were also excellent. The prices were actually reasonable for being at the club house. The food was excellent. The club house itself is fairly new, and it is gorgeous. A beautiful building with beautiful views. It was also fun in that my friend, an architect, designed many of the expensive homes that are in this subdivision surrounding the course. As we played, he pointed out the several houses that he designed.A very nice experience.

My parents friends are members here and we had the the wonderful opportunity to come here and golf and dine at the clubhouse with them. The experience is like nothing else in Tucson. It is a private club but if we ever have to opportunity to join it will definitely be the one we choose. A great experience.

Stunning venue! Fabulous service- waiter was actually very funny! Food was just fair - ordered the valley salad with grilled chicken and the chicken was super dry and lacking any flavor whatsoever. Hubby ordered chicken tacos and experienced the same. Friends both ordered chicken soup and carne asada tacos which they enjoyed.

If the owners (Arcis Golf) are unaware of the discontentment of the members or the difficulty members have in getting tee times, they should be fired. The membership is extremely upset and are looking at all actions to offset the drastic increases by cutting back on other club expenses. There is no pleasure at this club and members that live within the community are currently being forced to remain members due to a bad agreement signed by the HOA. We hope to change that so Arcis will provide value for us.

Was great when we joined but has changed since Arcis golf bought it. The membership is unhappy with the value under Arcis who seems to think it's a high end Scottsdale club and has priced it accordingly.

If you want to play golf the course, SC is wonderful. BUT, it is extremely difficult to get a t-time, even for members. This may have a lot to with COVID, but come on, how hard can it be for the club to purchase a t-time system that is equitable and works to allow members to get t-times they can count on. As things stand, everybody must sit down at precisely 6:00 PM (forget dinner) to claim a t-time two weeks in advance. The system is clunky so you must pick a specific time. If someone gets there for that time one second before you, then you must hit refresh, and by that time the t-sheet is full, with about 40% to 50% of the four person t-times claimed by the lucky member who got there first and filled those times in as GUESTS. So, if you did not beat the other members you are bocked from getting a t-time until two day before the date of play. Of course, this creates the situation like purchasing toilet paper at the grocery store. Members just claim slots they most likely will not use because then they can have them just in case. Never seen anything like it in an expensive course. Then of course, the management reserves some times for non-members. I really advise not joining SC until this is cleaned up.
