If you love Bisbee and charming old buildings you will love this place. It's cozy and has character. Steps away from bars with live music and restaurants. The tiny bar wasn't open, but we could see it is quite well stocked. The staff member who greeted us was sweet and friendly.

Loved the atmosphere, but the bartender was definitely having a bad evening. Loved all of the history of this place!

Ok, so, the Silver King is not a Hilton and you have to know that going in. I feel like those people who have left one- or two-star ratings didn't do their due diligence. In the age of Google, TripAdvisor, and Yelp, you really ought to know what to expect. The Silver King is basically the cheapest place to find a room in town, and it's located steps away from the best music venues in Bisbee. It's very pet-friendly, and that's important to me. The outdoor patio has live music on weekend evenings, and the tiny little Room 4 Bar is great. The rooms don't have private bathrooms, the paint is chipped, and the few furnishings seem like they were snagged from vacant buildings or empty lots. My mother would never stay here. But whatever. If you're in Bisbee for a quiet, early-to-bed getaway (why?), don't stay at the Silver King. If you want to have fun and don't always need plush surroundings, it's a good fit. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because at $85+ a night, I *do* think it's a little pricey for what it is. With a little effort, it could be worth that much, but not as-is. For 50-60 bucks a night, I'd be here every weekend. Also - what's the deal with people complaining about stairs? It's Bisbee! It's a mountain town and you literally can't get anywhere without climbing some stairs or a hill. It's good for you!

By far the worst night I have ever had! When compared to previous nights of car camping, this was even worse. At least those nights I had control of the room temp and there was no squealing fan in the hall. Our room looked very quaint and tiny when we were shown it and it was a busy weekend with choices diminishing quickly. We had to choose fast. We understood the dbl bed was going to be small and the bathroom was down the hall, but we didn't see the lack of airflow in the room or lumpiness and tilt of the bed upon first inspection. Having to lift the door up to keep it from scraping the rustic wood floors was not so bad. Even the late night patrons walking across said floors was to be expected. To hear them, the passionate guests and the bar patrons outside was a bit of a shocker though. Very thin walls. I will definitely check for certain things in my next hotel, thx to this one. Better yet, make reservations and do my due diligence.

Rooms can be hard to come by in this beautiful old mining town and what rooms are available tend to be pricey. We stayed at the Silver King as rooms were not too expensive, although not cheap for what can be found in other small towns. Thing is, there are no cheap chain motels here. Our room was simple, very simple. The hotel is an old building requiring guests to climb about 30 stairs to the lobby. The cheaper rooms, like the one we stayed in, do not have showers or toilets - they are down the hall. We did have a sink and a small TV. The bar across the street can be loud on weekends, but this is Bisbee afterall. Loved the creeky wood floors and tall ceilings. The bed could have been firmer. We would stay again.

Sexiest lounge bar in town. Great top shelf liquor. Specializes in Manhattan's , Old Fashions, and Cosmopolitans. Tired of screaming over the band? - come to the Silver King and enjoy a conversation.

A flop house; or, at best, a hostel. Don't believe their photos. We booked this property at the last minute over a holiday weekend because our regular hotel was sold out. Since they still had vacancy we should have known better, but we gave it a try as we had nearby business and needed a place to stay. Big mistake. We booked online, but the photos and description of the Silver King on the AirBnB site certainly did not match what we encountered when we arrived. Some of the issues we experienced, and things we believe could compromise our privacy and safety included:* Bedroom doors that lock from the outside with a hasp and padlock that, if accidentally latched or locked, could easily prevent occupants (us) from safely exiting their rooms in the case of an emergency; and,* The small window in the bedroom was 7' above the floor preventing safe exit in case of emergency; and,* There was a long crack approximately ¼" wide in the door connecting the room to the apartment next door that could be seen through and also amplified late night noise (there was a tenant in that room that you could see and hear making a lot of noise); and,* The front door of our room had a large window that was covered only with a bathmat; and,* The mattress in our room appeared to be only a box spring with a pad and sheets on it (staff made the bed in front of us); and,* Rooms did NOT have a half bath as advertised; rather, just a sink with a faucet (ours would not turn off); and,* Dirty half bath in a tiny 4' x 4' room at the end of a long hallway that had holes in the walls that allowed mice to enter; and,* Dilapidated, unsafe flooring in the hallways that caused me to trip; and,* Broken and worn-out furniture throughout the building; and,* Crumbling walls, debris and apparently unsafe wiring in the patio common area; and,* Only one common bathroom with a tub and shower that was on the floor below us; and,* A flight of 26 stairs to get from street level to the main floor (no lift or elevator); and,* Another flight of 15 stairs to get to the floor our room was on; and,* A debris and garbage-filled back yard area; and,* Garbage cans and graffiti covered walls outside the hotel.Needless to say, our experience was very poor, but if you just need a place to stay that has vacancy...

This review is for the bar, and not the hotel. Room 4 bar is definitely worth visiting! It's adorably small, insanely well-stocked, and was well-managed by a bisbee old timer. I went with my guy and we had fun learning about bisbee from the bartender, and then a large group joined us! It was really fun, everyone was having a great time - all because we were crammed into this tiny, adorable bar. It's in a great, easy to access location - so pop on by and enjoy a drink!

Hands down the nicest place and the cheapest place to stay in Bisbee. Most places want to charge in excess of 100 bucks a night on Motel rooms built for working miners that have been spruced up. Save your money and stay with Daniele at the Silver King. Sure you have to walk a few feet to one of two bathrooms but well worth the savings. Be sure to ask about Munchie, the 32 year old Tabby. The hotel itself is authentic, unpretentious, and everything Bisbee should be.

This review is for their "tiny bar" called Room 4. This is such a quaint little bar that feels welcoming and homey. Exactly 3 stools at this bar, the bartenders are fabulous, namely Gordon!!! Also, the owner Danielle is pretty great too. We just love making this a stop during a Bisbee night out.
