The Ranch at Star Pass

So listen, it's a beautiful place & they take care of their residents. The reason why I'm giving a one star is due to me listening to police sirens and having the helicopter flying over us constantly because of shootings here. There has been 3 shootings THIS MONTH. They either need to do better jobs at finding tennants, having real security, and kicking people out of here that are sketchy. May as well be a shooting range. Tonight 2 people got shot, and 6 shots fired. Check citizen. Don't move here if you want to sleep soundly and safely

If you never want to get your security deposit of $200 returned back to you then this is the place for you, management is never around to help with issues only a bunch of girls who know nothing making a bunch of excuses I was living here for two years and I will never recommend this place to anyone I recommend Campus Crossings!

do not rent from this apartment complex. if i could give this no stars, i would!!!! they are the most incompetent people running this place! and overcharge for everything, including malfunctioning fobs that they assign to tenants!!! it's their faulty fobs and they charge you to get into your own apartment when their own keys dont function!!!!Apartments are old and raunchy! Staff is rude and condescending!renters and parents of tenters beware!!!!!can't stress this enough...do not, under any circumstance, rent from this place!!! go to north pointe or campus crossings instead!!!

Absolutely horrible! I thought the reviews were fake but the new property manager is horrible. She is trying to charge me for all of my roommates damages. There are so many problems I don't even know where to begin. An AC unit burned up in flames, maintenance barges is with no warning and they never do any work in the office because they're too busy making tiktoks! Do yourself a favor and stay far away. There are much better apartments nearby. Wish I could give this zero stars.

DONT SIGN A CONTRACT! Many hidden fees, key fobs never work and they "inspect" your apartment including rooms 5-10 times a year specially when its time to move out. If your keys don't work to open your apartment, they say its your fault and they charge you $80 for maintenance to open your apartment. Really bad experience overall.

It is very unexpected because we cleaned everything and took a video. On move out day, the receptionist didn't offer me a walk out. What number should I call because I am not calling the reserve at star pass number, they are no help and the manager pretty much kicked me out of her office bec she didn't have anything to say to prove herself. This is not okay at all!

My girlfriend and her best friend lived here and the first week their apartment was shot in. If her best friend was sitting at the desk then she would have been shot. Security was useless and the police wrote a report and never followed through with anything. Management attempted to blame them for the shooting and refused to change them units until their parents got involved. Fast forward a couple months someone in the complex is robbed and shot. Then a few months before their lease was over a minor was shot and killed at the pool. Overall it's a very unsafe place and management will just close the gate for a week to solve the issue. The police have surrounded the complex due to parties several times. I do not recommend unless you don't care about safety.

Please look elsewhere for a place to live...I signed a 12 month lease & within that lease there were 2 shootings, both resulting in casualties. I would hope this would have been less of an issue due to the gates and "24-hour" security. Additionally, I switched actual apartment units about 6 months into my lease. I asked the management if there would be a cleaning service provided to sanitize the room between the previous tenant and myself (as they state the service is provided between tenants) to which one office staffer told me they have no such cleaning service. So, THEY DON'T CLEAN BETWEEN TENANTS!The apartments themselves are decent for what you pay, but disgusting as far as cleanliness. I found mold under the fridge, the carpets are visibly waxy & black, our ceiling fans were covered in dust... I also had numerous issues with being double charged for insurance, rent and electricity. Every time I went to the office to try to fix the double charges, I was met with rude staff who made me feel like an inconvenience. The maintenance was terrible, as well. Our dishwasher stopped working & it took 3 maintenance visits over 1 week for them to actually get it working. Our issue was they claimed to have "fixed it" each time they came. Also, when I moved in my closet doors would not slide on the rails. Maintenance took 1 weeks to actually come see it, then only fixed one of the doors. The Ranch has also been dropped by their management company (who owns numerous different complexes in Tucson). Since being dropped, they are now requiring that tenants make office visits to pay with checks for rent. This complex is for students, and many go home in June/July for summer break. Thus, how are they supposed to fly back here to simply make their final rent payment or two? Side note: The rent at this complex is prorated. Please look otherwise when looking for affordable housing in Tucson, AZ.

This place is great. Started working with Mikaela some months back and she was amazing. Super helpful with anything and everything. Have been working with Amesha ever since and i couldnt ask for a better community manager. She is very professional and has been able to accommodate any request ive had in a friendly and timely manner. The customer service and friendly attitudes of all the staff at the Ranch at Starpass is more than i ever expected. As for the maintenance team, Darric the supervisor is awesome to work with. He is extremely knowledgeable and gets things taken care of quickly, skillfully, and quietly. I would also like to thank Scott and Andrew in the corporate office who have also been great to work with! I highly recommend The Ranch at Starpass to any new tenants. Its tough to find college housing in tucson that operates as well as this does, is as clean as this, and has as many amenities as it does.

This place is CRAP!!! Specifically, management are full of liars and taking advantage of student sin need of housing. If you want the definition of BAIT and SWITCH tactics, look no further than The Ranch at Star Pass aka PEAK LIVING. My daughter was told she could take advantage of an Instagram special that would allow her to have August rent free. Now, they want her to pay a FULL month's rent. I let the Community Manager, Michelle Kidd, know that my daughter was misinformed and misled. All Michelle replied was that my daughter signed the contract. Which, she did. However, it would have never been signed at the time or ever, but the sales agent on the other line stated she WOULD have be able to take advantage of the Instagram special. Michelle was as helpful as gallon of gasoline in a forest fire. Not only did she "skate' around the issue that one of her sales people lied to my daughter , but kept referencing some gibberish that the special was only valid during a certain time frame. My daughter DID sign during the aforementioned timeframe. If you have other options than living at The Ranch at Star Pass...TAKE IT. It is obvious to me(and other ppl per the reviews) that management(PEAK LIVING) is looking to scam other students into living there. With Community managers like Michelle, this place has no where else to go but down......
