The Mint

The Mint is a classic must-visit dive bar nestled in central Tucson. Its location hides a treasure trove of entertainment and great vibes. What sets The Mint apart is its fantastic comedy nights that add local and nation wide talent into this dive bar established clientele. They have darts, pool tables, karaoke, and more. The service sets a great casual feel. Whether you're there for the comedy or just to unwind with friends over drinks, The Mint's laid-back charm and stellar comedy nights make it a standout destination in central Tucson.Where else can you see a clown kidnap a comedian off stage and then go play a round of pool?!

We stopped at the Mint to cap off date night. The Mint is a great dive bar with friendly bartenders and a clean environment. If you are looking for a place with no frills, but with friendly people, this is a good place to stop and have a drink.

It's a true dive bar, with patrons to match! Just good ole locals out for a beer! I don't think they have any food.

Decent dive bar for good drunks, chill vibes, and friendly staff. Known for some shows, comedy, and other stuff when Covid isn't around.

This is an excellent dive bar with beautiful, likeable bartenders; and a friendly group of customers. It opens at 10 AM (as of May 2020), which is an hour earlier than most bars; closing time is 2 AM (or will be after the state of Arizona removes the curfew). The drinks are inexpensive; e.g., a vodka tonic costs $4.50 ($3.50 during happy hour, which is [at least] 10 AM to Noon Mon-Fri). (May 2020 prices) The bar was repainted during the recent (AZ state government ordered) closure due to the virus. It has table tennis in the back, and the bar provides ping-pong balls and paddles. (The paddles are pimpled rubber or sandpaper; if you want thick rubber, you must bring your own paddle.) I highly recommend this bar.

Although The Mint stays true to it's history in Tucson as a classic dive bar, you can see the owners are always striving to add to it's atmosphere. The bar now offers two cozy stages for live music, one of them outside on a smoke friendly patio. (The stages are more designed for acoustic acts, such as bluegrass, folk, or Americana. However, they have had pop and alternative bands play there on occasion.) My only critic for The Mint is that they don't have food.. Not the end of the world, and they even have a popcorn machine near the bar, but it I do wish a food truck would come through on their busier days, (or the days with music.)

Dive bar full of characters at night. .. lots of stories here.I gone here for music several times.It is very tiny and the locals are very local ..... not the sedate stuffy kind up the mountain.I have not gone to the night when the ladies dance. So I can't really comment on that.Ample parking in the front.Relatively clean. Nice looking bar with bar maids when I have been there.Kind of a cool old roadhouse when a local band is slamming the air waves.

This place is great! Plenty of space, nice patio, great drink prices, pool tables, and so forth

Not impressed at all. We walk in . Too, too small. A small bar. Did not see any space for dancing walked in stood up look at it and made a u-turn and went out.
