The Lodge At Ventana Canyon

Went to the blues, brews, & bbq Sunday buffet last month and ate and ate and ate you til I couldn't eat anymore! I had an amazing pina colada mock tail & My favorite thing I ate was the omelet at the omelet station. I was so sad I couldn't finish it. I love the live music component but feel it needs to be revised so that it could be heard inside as well. The bbq portion had a good amount of options which was cool but I felt the meat was bland. The veggies and sides were better. Our server was friendly and on Top of our needs.I will say I was disappointed at the "seafood" & "dessert" section that was so small you miss it if you blink. I feel there should be more offerings and better quality the dessert. The one pictured tasted like the fruit out of a gelatin fruit cup and the chocolate chip cookies were rock hard. I'm not sure I would regularly pay $70 for this buffet offering but it's a cool thing to try since there's not too much competition for this in Tucson..

The Lodge is fine. The rooms are large and well decorated. However, the mechanics are old as the AC sounds like there is a 737 parked on the roof and everything from the hallways can be heard so it is not quiet at all. The real drawback is the common areas. It is attached to a golf country club so the amenities are geared toward members (which I get) but no food or bar after 9 is a real drawback considering the distance to restaurants. In addition, the internet in the rooms is rubbish. It's free but it doesn't work consistently. Extremely difficult to do work and host meetings when the internet was unstable and would not keep a connection. A problematic and unrestful stay for sure

Stayed here this past weekend for a wedding . We accidentally went to the resort first. But we're guided to the Lodge which is just down the hill. We were warmly greeted and checked in. Had the pleasure of Chris taking our luggage to our room. He was so nice... and funny. Good start!! Entered our King Suite and it was just beautiful. Everything one would need for a nice weekend stay.. including a claw foot tub. The bed was so comfortable and it was so quite. Loved every minute of that. Had an event at the lodge on Friday night. The food was top notch. Delicious. Breakfast in the morning... wonderful. The wedding was located 3 miles away. The hotel driver was kind enough to drop us off and pick us up. Paul was just wonderful.I must say... I need to come back and do a vacation just for relaxation and golfing. The views are break taking.

Great to see the Ventana Canyon Club and Lodge making updates this year, with a new chef, more live music, and a general refresh across the property. There's easy access to the golf course and racquet club, and the patio spaces off the main lobby and main restaurant offer total R&R. Location is everything, and it's hard to beat sitting around the firepit with a 19th-hole brew, listening to guitar, and soaking in those killer views of the Catalinas.

We love this locale in The foothills of the Catalina mountains, where there aremany activities, a great spa, helpful staff, good food, tennis, pickle ball, golf, walking areas, several pools. The staff is so friendly, and the whole set up is welcoming to families, couples or groups.

This place is absolutely gorgeous!! From the grounds, to the rooms, to the interior. I took my daughter and her friends there to celebrate her birthday. We stated in a room with a loft and it was the perfect room for the occasion. Having a fridge, stove, pots/pans, utencils, a dishwasher...was great. The girls had lots of fun at the swimming pool. The service and food in the dining/bar area was good. Would I go back? Not sure. I didn't know anything about this place before going, and got a lot of looks being there with a group of teenage girls (who were very well behaved). One guest was super rude to them at the swimming pool, even though they were not near her and were not being reckless. One of the girls got a stranger's earring embedded into her toe in the swimming pool. A couple of the girls slept on the pullout couch, only to find they had been sleeping on a large dead bug all night. This bug was under the top sheet, so no idea how it got under there because the mattress had been rolled up into the couch. Also, I didn't know myself and my children would be the only people of color there who were not workers. That was really unexpected and uncomfortable. I don't know if this place only caters to or advertises to white people, but it felt very 1950's. Despite a few mishaps the girls had an amazing time. My daughter has thanked me probably over a dozen times for taking them there. It is a beautiful place so if the occasion arises, we might go back.

The lid is a great place for business and pleasure... staff here is amazing. They are so warm and welcoming. They get to know their guests personally. Plus the rooms are really big and have a kitchenette and a balcony with a view. I will definitely stay here again. It is a wonderful place. And if you are a golfer or a tennis player, they have beautiful facilities! I highly recommend this place.

Yes, we have stayed there too!Very ni e , kids enjoyed the pool n the food,They have great Entertainment in main lobby n the Flying V featuring Gabriel Romo n his flying guitar . Food is really delicious. ,We definitely will say there again just to get R/R n enjoy ourselves , thumbs up .

A very bad experience. Charmless, cavernous rooms. No hot water on day 1, someone came to fix it, none again on day 3, so they moved us to another room. Annoying tvs to figure out, only 1 sink in bathroom, heating system loud enough to wake you up, doesn't feel clean or well-tended. Feels more like a camp or ski room for rowdy teens or prison inmated. Golf is fantastic, go up the street to Lowe's Ventana for elegance. This isn't it. Never coming back.

Absolutely the worst experience I could've had. Staff was rude. No hygiene products were available in my room. Will not be coming back.
