An excellent hotel to stay at when visiting the base! Friendly staff, the rooms are always clean, and complimentary coffee and hot chocolate are made fresh each morning. There is free on-site laundry, as well as a small gym. Parking is plentiful, and the covered balconies are great for when you want to sit outside out of the sun. The mountain views are lovely as well. Each Christmas, they decorate the hotel beautifully. Conveniently within walking distance to the: BX, Commissary , Burger King, Bank of America, gas station, Benko Fitness Center, and DFAC.There is an Amazon pickup locker located across from the DFAC.

We booked a room here during our PCS from San Diego to Texas and were absolutely surprised to see how nice the hotel & rooms were. Their pet friendly suite was located across the street from the main building. It included 2 separate rooms with queen size beds, a full kitchen and even our own washer and dryer. John at the front desk was extremely helpful and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed for our brief 1 night stay. Would highly recommend this place as a stop for whatever your reason for travel is!

The front desk was helpful and they were able to give us a great place to stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. It was like a mini-apt with the PX and commissary were just a short distance from lodging. Housekeeping staff was friendly too. There was an alarm testing to go on and they came by to let us know beforehand. Everything you need is there. Washer and dryer, too! Next time we go to Tucson, we're staying there!

I really like this hotel! It's clean, affordable, staff is friendly, and there is lots of open parking. It's across from the BX, Commissary and Burger King. Really easy to get in and out of Tucson and the airport. I decided to stay here because I'm a military spouse and have access to the base amenities. I like being on base because I feel safe and people are quiet and professional. Plus, everything that I need is here and I don't have to leave unless I choose to. This is a newer hotel and ceilings are high, the room feels spacious and I have a nice big bed, plus a chair and a desk. I like that there is a fridge too where I kept my leftovers and a microwave to heat them up. Shower is clean and has a sprayer, which is helpful. Downstairs there is a little shop where I can grab snacks to charge on my room. Super easy to call and book too! Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.

If I had known about this place prior to booking my room elsewhere, I would've done so! This is a great place to stay for $60 a night. It's very clean--I didn't get the heebeegeebees unlike other higher priced hotels. We chose a third floor room which had views of the mountains. The bedroom is separate from the open living room and kitchen area which contained a small fridge, microwave oven and coffee maker. There's also a hair dryer, iron, ironing board and a portable fan. Although there's no free breakfast, the Base Exchange and Burger King are just across the street. And there are several restaurants within a couple of miles outside the base gate as well. If we are ever in the area, we'll stay here again.

Strange experience here. I had to update my reservation a few days prior, and nobody answered the phone... and I called several times throughout the day. But they responded to my email, so it worked out. During my stay the room was hot so I turned on the air to the cold setting, woke up at 2am roasting, it was 82 degrees! Went up 10 degrees. So I called the front desk and they said the cold setting is actually the heater, and recommended I use the fan from the closet and open the windows. No signs, no warning; just find out the hard way I guess. I can't sleep with the window open for obvious security reasons, being a woman traveling alone. So I roasted all night. Day two, they enter my room to shampoo carpets. Okay I get it, but why give a window of 9am to 5pm? That's all day that they could have showed up. Luckily, I was not in the hotel during these hours, but if I had wanted privacy and to spend time in the room I paid for, this wouldn't have happened. And the carpet was still wet when I got back.

The TLF is pretty good. We are staying in a handicap room. Two queen beds and a pull out couch. The furniture is a bit dated. The washer/dryer are great to have.

We stayed here a total of two nights on our outbound and return trip enroute to and from San Antonio, Tx in Dec/Jan 2022/23. On the upside, the facility is new and very clean and the staff very helpful. We did have one incident. On arrival my wife opened the door to the room and was greeted by a man sitting on the toilet. Not a great start. The desk receptionist was as shocked as we were as her computer showed no one but us had booked the room. My 3 star rating relates more to the amenities offered compared to an Army hotel we stayed at, Ft Bliss Tx. which is an on base Holiday Inn Express. This hotel offers coffee for breakfast, period. It has no swimming pool and no workout room. At Ft Bliss they offer a full breakfast of many choices in a designated dinning room with fireplace, a workout room and a large swimming pool with an adjacent play area for kids. To top it off the room was $25 cheaper. At DM base amenities are limited to a Burgerking and the typical fast food joints at the BX food court. Ft Bliss has a three block, palm tree lined shopping area full of stores and sit down restaurants with optional outdoor seating called Freedom Crossing. The Army has had a piss poor reputation for amenities for it's members over the years. They out did themselves in this case. The Air Force? Well let's just say they have a lot of catching up to do. BTW - I am a retired MSgt in the USAF.

The inn itself is great. However, it was the way my family and I were treated and the way in which the situation was handled that has forced me to give them a two star review.Initially, upon my PCS to Davis-Monthan AFB from overseas, I was told I would not need to quarantine. I then booked the six nights I needed before we'd move into a house I secured. However, the day of my arrival (with a six hour notice prior to my arrival) I was then told I would in fact need to quarantine for the mandatory 14 days (per DOD Covid-19 guidance). I then immediately notified the inn and after some confusion, I was told it would be taken care of and there would be no issue. An hour out from the base, I called again with some more questions. Since I am supposed to be quarantined, do I head straight to the room? Are there any special policies and procedures I need to be aware of? I was told that no, there were no special check-in procedures or policies, and that I would need to go to the front desk.Upon my arrival, I did as I was told and checked in. The lady at the front desk initially commented how my reservation was for six days and I corrected her. She then seemingly found something in the system that said 14 days and said that I was good to go. I again asked about the policies and procedures for quarantine. She told me that my family and I could not leave the room until it was over.Fast forward six nights, and we are still in the room on the seventh day. Room service (which has avoided our room up until this point) knocks on the door and then opens it. She asks when we're checking out today, and I said we're not. We have eight more days to go and she shouldn't be in here because we're on quarantine status. She then said that she would notify the front desk we're staying and left. This left a funny feeling in my stomach and so I called the front desk myself. When I told the front desk what happened they seemed surprised and told me that my reservation was only for six days. I again reminded them that it was initially, but I had updated them and why it was updated. I was then told they had no room and that I would have to leave. I told her I don't know where the miscommunication was but this is DOD policy. Again, seemingly confused, she said that there was no room and we'd have to leave.Immediately afterward I notified my supervisor. He even said it seemed bizarre and told me to hold on while he makes some phone calls. After about another two hours he gets back to me. I am informed that he doesn't know what happened but that my family and I will need to leave the inn.I'm pissed off at this point (obviously). I once again call the front desk and tell them I will in fact be checking out and to provide me not only a list of nearby hotels, but a letter stating that I can stay off-base. They comply, and before I hang up, I just asked how did this all happen? The lady at the front desk did not have an answer and she seemed confused. She stated that they only had me for six days in their system. The 14 days I had requested wasn't guaranteed because they didn't have room. This is why I was being forced out on the seventh day. I then politely informed her that not only was I told I was good to go (three separate times), but why hadn't they informed me sooner that I wasn't able to stay for the full 14 days? Not only that, and arguably worst of all, if they couldn't give me the full DOD mandated 14 day quarantine, why did they let me stay for six days and not just send me off base right away? She didn't have an answer for this.Lastly, I told her that it would take some time for my family and I to pack up and we would leave as soon as we're able. She then commented how the individual whose room it is was in the lobby now waiting. I told her this wasn't my problem, it was the inn's mix-up, not mine, and that it didn't matter to me. She then condescendingly remarked how she would just have to tell the Colonel and his family to wait and that she may have to escalate this to her management. I told her I hope she does, as I plan on meeting with management later, and with that we said our goodbyes. In the end, with the maids hovering outside our door watching us as we packed, we finally moved out and were able to secure a hotel room off-base. I did end up speaking to the manager prior to our departure who seemed genuinely apologetic (which is why this isn't a one star review) but stopped short of putting the blame on her staff. I again reiterated to her, it doesn't matter if I wasn't more clear (again, I spoke with the front desk three separate times on that first day about the need for a 14 day quarantine) they should have never allowed my family and I to stay if we couldn't stay for the full 14 days. After our treatment at this inn, I do not plan on using them again or recommending them to anyone.
