Went to Hungry Fox for breakfast for the first time this week. It was a late breakfast, no line at all, and seated right away. Typical breakfast entrees including French toast, regular breakfast, pancakes, biscuits gravy, and chicken fried steak. Service was great - our server checked back with us several times during the meal. The biscuits and gravy are fantastic - probably the best I've had. Much better than I expected - now I know why the Hungry Fox has been open for all these years !

I cannot stop loving everything I try here. Chicken fried steak breakfast best in Tucson! The service is continually outstanding and I like the old time diner food feel. I love the booths and the decor. Nothing in town beats their tuna! It too is so good I'm tempted to buy a bowl to go when I buy the chicken fried steak. So good. A Tucson gem!

I haven't been here in so long, but it was super fun. The person who served me was excellent. I ordered the scramble and they were able to make a vegetarian with no meat. It was super easy to order it that way. The bread was delicious. It's homemade. The white bread I believe is the only one that is homemade.

The Hungry Fox has been here since 1964 and this is my FIRST time trying it! And I now have a new breakfast spot, thank you very much.My daughter kept telling me I had to try it so on Saturday my guy and I were heading to Waffle House when I suggested we switch it up and try The Hungry Fox. We arrived around 10am and waited about 20 minutes for a table. They've got a cute little gift shop that one can peruse while waiting.Once seated, we were immediately given water and coffee by a very friendly server. We placed our breakfast orders and it took about 20 minutes to get our food....they were busy! My husband had the Country Benedict and OMG, that thing was HUGE. He loved it and really liked the gravy. I went with a basic 2 egg breakfast served over easy with hash browns, sausage patties and homemade white bread toast. Although basic, it was perfection. Eggs cooked exactly right, hash browns with a nice crisp to them, sausage that had FLAVOR and that homemade white bread toast is soft and fluffy and delicious. We loved every single item we ordered. Half of my husbands meal and half of my hash browns went home with us because it was just too much food. We thanked our server and told her it was our first time at The Hungry Fox and she asked us to wait a minute. She came back with a complimentary gigantic cinnamon roll boxed to go - incredible customer service!Can't wait to go back and try some different menu items.

I was in Tucson for one day and found The Hungry Fox on Yelp. When I arrived on Saturday morning, there was a short wait. I ordered the Sonora Benedict which was very good. I also enjoyed a complimentary warm cinnamon roll as a first time visitor! They were well staffed and the 2 guys that were bussing tables were doing a great job. I would definitely return if I was in the area.

My wife and I have not been here in so long, I don't know why we stopped. We ran in here for some breakfast and the prices I think are still the same, even though most food is gone up. We got the biscuits and gravy and waffle to split. The food was so tasty and our server, Michelle, was on top of everything. Service and food are fantastic. Stop by and give them a try.

I don't think I've ever been when they weren't busy. While they are consistently busy you rarely have to wait more than a 20 minute wait to get seated. Make sure to check the specials as it's always changing. Everything I've had has been delicious. Plus tons of comfort foods. Their tuna melt is really good, and you can't go wrong with their fox omelet!

Popular breakfast spot and the wait was not too long. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was ok. I had the egg, bacon and toast. The toast was good with lots of butter. The ambiance was families and group get togethers. It's basic breakfast with quick service.
