We went to dinner last n 2/17 for our anniversary. The view was incredible, the service was super attentive. We really enjoyed the pianist. As for the food, the prosciutto wrapped scallops were so flavorful and tender! Hubby loved the lamb shank and I was blown away by their beef Wellington. Just a fantastic experience overall.

Earlier this week we ate at the Grill. This was our first time at Hacienda del Sol and everything was amazing. First, the ambiance is hard to beat as the grounds are beautiful. Our waiter, Jesus, was phenomenal at his job. They also have a piano player who takes requests (we asked for Tiny Dancer by Sir Elton John and he nailed it). For dinner, we had the prix-fixe meal, and everything was great. We will likely make this an annual tradition and will certainly come back many times throughout the years.

Update: Just went back for the first time in two years. That experience was surprisingly good given the mediocre reviews and I was pleasantly surprised. It turns out that I think we just got lucky that one night. This experience brought us back to reality. The place is just OK. I mean you gotta either decide if you wanna be a fancy restaurant or not. You can't charge $20 for a margarita and then present it like they would at the sports bars. You can't charge $30 for a shrimp appetizer of overly breaded fried shrimp and a sloppy presentation. You can't charge $50 for halibut if you know you're going to overcook it every time. You can't be asking what temperature you want your pork chop cooked when you know it's gonna come out medium well or more every time. They're just pretending to be a fancy restaurant with the fancy menu items and some fancy terms and some tablecloths and a wine list and the fancy restaurant prices. But they're not. Almost forgot, waitress was kind of lame as well. She should be at Chili's not this joint.

One of my favorite places to celebrate with a great meal and drinks. The service is always attentive, the food is amazing, and the drinks are delicious. They also gave us chocolates and glasses of champagne for our anniversary.

We have such a heart for the Hacienda since we got married here four years ago and my husband wanted a special place for dinner just before Valentine's Day. Perfect seating, beautiful view as ever but we both felt like the decor seemed a little tired, there were no candles on the table - notably leaving the couple in the corner across from us in the absolute darkness. Drinks and wine were fine and served promptly. Starters were the lobster bisque for my husband and the shrimp flight for me. Hubs thought the bisque was outstanding, my shrimp had some interesting flavors but nothing that wowed me/us. Not a huge meat person and I am married to a man who used to be an exec chef at a high end seafood restaurant in the Bay Area so I can get really beautifully chosen and prepared salmon any time (that choice here is 50.00). I tried the Butternut/Pistachio/Camembert raviolo and while the filling combination was great, the pasta itself was too thick at the edges making it almost gummy. Not a lot of camembert present and just fell short especially so since there were 3 of them for 46.00. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Bouillabaisse - full of seafood and lovely flavor. As others also note, it's not cheap and for us, sadly, just okay.

The Grill restaurant was a nice experience. Great views of the mountains and sunset. The food was "okay". Pricey, but the location and excellent service made it worth it.

This place was gorgeous with crazy beautiful views of Tucson, and had the ambiance of a beautiful evening under the stars. The food fell short for us, we tried many items because we had a party of 16....and everything was just OK. The best items were the birria nachos, the dolce de leche gelato. The drinks were great tho, and the ambiance and service was excellent...

We love going to this place for special occasion. Very friendly crew and the food is good. We love the setting that looked over the golf course and the views of the Catalina mountains.

Unbelievable experience!!!! Cannot thank our server enough! Jesus, he is the ultimate professional. Uber knowledgeable about every intricacy on the menu. Food was outstanding! We had the NY Strip and the Short Rib Osso Buco. A great bottle of wine, dessert and a night cap made the night special. Highly recommend this hidden gem in the desert!

Slow service. Steaks over cooked. Waiter very dismissive and inattentive. It was a birthday celebration and a candle on empty plate was brought out. We were told if you buy a dessert they would stick a candle in it. Also overpriced.
