My brother, a friend and I played the 9-hole Saguaro and Wild Burro courses. Situated in the High Sonoran Desert, with great views of the surrounding Tortolita Mountain Range, this course designed by Jack Nicklaus offers plenty of challenges including some water, a handful of narrow fairways, lots of sand traps and undulating greens. Other than a couple greens on the Saguaro course which were in poor shape, the tee boxes, fairways and greens were in very good shape, particularly considering how dry Tucson has been over the last couple months. I look forward to the next round at this very good course.

We have been to a lot of courses and the service here was abysmal. There was no breakfast service to speak of on arrival, proceeded to head out on the course and over our 5 hour round we saw our beverage service 2 times on hole 6 and 17. There was no water on the course so we had members struggling due to dehydration. I think this is a ritz Carlton property and I was really surprised at the service. I can not recommend this course for safety reason.

Ok, so full disclosure. The golf courses are great, I have played there at least a dozen times. This one star review is for what happened the last time I played there.I traveled down to Dove to play with some friends, we had a good time despite some rainy weather.Upon arriving home I realized that I forgot my GPS/Speaker at the course. I called the course and left a message. The next day I revived a call back, they told me that they had my speaker. I called the course back and spoke with a gentlemen who confirmed that they had the speaker and would hold it. I informed them that I would send a call tag from a shipper to pick it up. A few days later the shipper informed me that they were unable to pick it up as they were told they had nothing to pick up for me. I contacted the course and they told me that no one had tried to pick it up. I then asked if they could just ship it to me themselves and I would pay because having someone pick it up appeared to be problematic (he advised me how many different places they could have gone to in their attempt to pick it up and why they might now have found it?). They responded no to shipping it to me. So I asked them to hold it for me, I was leaving town and in a couple weeks when I got back I would come grab it (I was slated to play down in Tucson when I returned so it would be convenient). Upon coming back into town, I called the course to confirm to advise that I would be there the next day. Imagine my shock as I was told they didn't have my speaker. The gentleman put me on hold as he looked around. He came back on the phone and confirmed that they did have he speaker previously -- he had seen it, but it wasn't in the drawer or there anymore. I was floored. He apologized and said that there was nothing he could do. Unbelievable. Look if I had left it at the course and they couldn't find it, then I understand that is on me. But once you tell me you have it, and will hold it, it is on you. The $165.00 speaker at this point isn't the real issue, it is the principle of it. You found it the day I left it, and it disappeared while in your care. No apology, no offer to replace, no free round, no golf shop credit...... nothing. Just sorry, have a nice day. I expect more from a club like this. If I ran my business this way, I would be out of business.

Just got off of the course! The GPS on the cart was 15-20 yards off and when we got in the bag guy said that the staff didn't get around to that today. Disappointed--- Hardly any sand in green side traps, greens were rolling around a 7-8. A large amount of blind shots----is a course that you rarely know what you are hitting to, especially with a useless GPS.The chipping area doubles as a putting green and is in the shape of most courses chipping area. The one bright spot was the fairways- they were fantastic.Beautiful Clubhouse and Dining area!

When you arrive at this beautiful course you know you're in for a treat! Beautiful facility and the customer service is GREAT! Keenan in the pro shop took great care of me. Weather out in Tucson area during their monsoon season can be unpredictable, but Keenan handled it great. Course is awesome! Played Wild Burro and Saguaro and loved the layout. Can't wait to come back to this little slice of heaven.

Took my father in law for a round at Dove Mountain. We played Tortolita and Wild Burro and we were both blown away. Great course, beautiful scenery, fantastic conditions and great service. The only thing that sucked was the WGC Accenture Matchplay had been a week prior and they left the rough tournament high. Machete anyone? All jokes aside, this is a phenomenal place to play.

Played the Saguaro and Tortolita combination, and the Saguaro and Wild Burro. Tough undulating greens, most of which were elevated, and lightning fast. 3-putts or more--too many times. Tons of sand fairway sand and green side bunkers, which were not placed unfairly. Views of the surrounding mountains were stunning, and the clubhouse facilities were excellent. Staff very attentive and professional.Only complaint was that greens were not in the best of shape. Most were cut super short, some had blotchy areas which were being treated with what appeared to be either a weed spray or maybe a fungicide. Overall it's a challenging course, which definitely gets more playable the more times you play it. I expected the challenge, but in my opinion, for the price of the round, the greens should have been better.

Booked 'stay n play' for 3 nights. $800/night. Arrived 3 pm...thought I'd play 9 or 18 holes. Course closed! Unlimited golf...and course is closed??Course was crap. Large dead spots on greens...not dead grass, but dirt. Unbelievable. Sand traps w 2' piles of sand...next to mud. Skinny grass by greens. One nine had unmowed tee boxes. Just a crap course. At $800/night!!!!!!!!!
