The Gardens At Bear Canyon

Run - do not walk- to check out The Gardens at Bear Canyon. I was a little thrown pulling up to what seemed like a little shopping center- but once you walk into the open seating area filled with wood benches and high top table scattered among trees and flowers - you forget about the parking lot. The food is delicious comfort food. Simple menu done right and came out super quick. The pulled pork with slaw was amazing! The fried apples are a MUST - I was drooling smelling them from our table. Our server was friendly and quick even when the lunch crowd picked up. She told us about all their offerings including live music they host. Check out their website for schedule- with the string lights and good drinks it sounds like a great time.

Came to see a friend's band play. Cool spot and concept, but it's not executed super well. The layout of the space could be better. I didn't know they had servers until I asked the bar tender after sitting around for a few minutes. The service was OK and the beer selection was pretty good. I was handed unopened cans of beer which I believe is incorrect.

We came one evening to hear Liz & Pete perform. The layout is a bit strange for performers / listeners. Tables outside of the bar area are scattered among shrubs and connected by a long pathway. So, if you don't have a table near the musicians, you may not be able to see them, though you can hear them throughout the garden. By the time we arrived, the only tables available were close to the entrance and bar. So, we sat at the end of one so we could peek down the pathway. Our server was quick to provide menus and very friendly. We got the chardonnay and fried apples, which were both nice. As there were no heaters out and the night cold, we paid after eating and didn't stay for the full set. We'll try this again, but arrive earlier for a better seat.

Walk in and take a journey, the blue pill or the red pill.... Red pill you sit behind the bar and watch sports... or the red pill you sit in a cozy spot dispersed in their garden setting. Either way you get served and listen to music. Food was good, a lot more options of drinks than food. We tried the nachos and fries. Both I really liked. The sauces with the fries I didn't care for as much but old faithful ranch and ketchup works too! The service was good too Would definitely return!

Food very average, service was pretty good, loud country radio making it difficult to have a conversation. Then a live band made it worse.

This is a great place for families with kids, especially when the weather is nice. All seating is outside, and the bathroom is a porta potty. The food is nothing to write home about, but overall, this place is a good hangout spot for friends and family. On Friday nights, there is a band that plays music to drown out the noise of screaming kids. Cheers!

So good! Simple menu but the food delivers and the atmosphere is lovely. first and foremost THE FRIES ARE SO GOOD!!My husband is from NM and is super picky about green chili cheese burgers, he said this one was the best he's had in AZ. I had the chicken sandwich and it was delish, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the pineapple was such a fun add. I'm a margarita snob and I had the spicy Cadillac margarita and it was delicious and not too light of a pour!!

Love this outdoor spot! It is so spacious and has a really nice view, I was looking at the mountains the entire time. The menu is small but I ordered 3 different things that did not disappoint. Large variety of beer and mixed drinks. The service was speedy. Overall I would love to come here again.

Great place! Service was excellent by the friendly staff. Outdoor bar and table service with a large wandering garden atmosphere. The burger is excellent as well as the chicken tacos. Great drink selection as well. They had a country band playing that night and they were great! Highly recommend this place. Will be back for sure!
