I tried the Egg Connection recently and really enjoyed it. The actual restaurant is in a strip mall and I would have never thought to go there if it wasn't for my friend who is a Tucson local who knew about the place.The restaurant itself is very homey and it has been a family restaurant for many years. The decor was rustic and had a "lived-in" characteristic that I love to see in diners. Our servers were so kind and were a sister duo which I loved to witness. They were attentive to our every need and you could feel the honest care they have for their customers. I ordered the salmon hash with a pancake on the side. The portions were huge and I enjoyed all of it! Home cooking at its finest. :)

Nice family type restaurant in Central-North Tucson with huge portions that won't break the bank. Much better than Denny's or IHOP and the price was slightly cheaper.I ordered the country fried steak, $14.99. The cutlet was nice and crispy. The batter they use is excellent for holding itself intact with the gravy over it. The gravy is great. I'm usually hesitant with breakfast gravy because it's often too salty for me but not with this one. I got the grits with extra butter on the side which were amazing. No salt needed. One small issue was that the grits were hot and the butter was very cold so it caused a temperature contradiction in my mouth. Next time I'll mix it all together.I had the sourdough toast as my bread and it was kinda small. Odd for sourdough. It tasted good, tho. One other issue was that they served me a diet coke in a can with a cup of ice so I'm assuming there are no free refills. I drink a lot of fluids so I really didn't like that.One really nice thing is that they serve the full menu at their 6:00 AM opening, so if you want a burger or club sandwich in the morning, it's available. The portion sizes are big and I only ate half my steak and have the rest in the fridge.Really friendly service, plenty of tables, plenty of parking, clean. I actually just checked the Denny's menu and their country fried steak is $15.49, so this place was actually cheaper. Well worth it.Don't let the 3.6 rating fool you. A vast majority of the reviews are 4-5 stars. It's being pulled down by a few 1 star ratings. Yes, I'd go again.

Had 10 in our party and got seated quickly with no reservation. Went downhill from here. Placed our orders, got our food was eating, then a woman approached us and said you have 10 to finish because we have another large party. It was my son in laws birthday and I never even got to eat my toast. I have been coming here foe years but, never again. We have never encountered such rudeness at any dining establishment.

I do to go here often and it's convenient. they have nice potion sizes. Ive inly had their breakfast. I had the biscuits and gravy with bacon. And the banana blueberry nut pancakes. Everything was delicious. The bacon was bountiful. Sausage in the gravy. Cute little drawings on the to go boxes always make me smile.

I never ever been here before... I've seen it, I've heard of the place, it's just not in my average daily circle, so I forget. We decide to try something NEW on our list and head to the Egg Connection. PLENTY of parking. PLENTY of seating!Large space, lots of tables. No booths.Small spot on the counter but I'm unsure if they just use that as space.Host greets you at the door, sit wherever you'd like, was greeted by a lady who got our drinks. Looks like the place has 2 servers, a busser and a host in front. Not too busy at the time we went.Food was fast & tasty. You should see their cinnamon rolls, holy smokes... you could eat that for days. Yes, we had to get one. The whole experience was nice. Place is clean. Server was great. Food was delicious, We'll be back again for sure!

So I went here this morning because they have 4.6 stars on yelp and the reviews said they are nice clean and have good portions and tasty food which is priced right ! Well they are absolutely friendly and let me give you the highlights :1) they immediately gave me a coffee carafe so I didn't have to keep asking for more coffee . 2) they were friendly and didn't rush me since I needed to read over the menu 3) I ordered the Craycroft Omelette but I should have ordered light cheese - but it was okay it came with turkey avocado tomatoes spinach and cheese toast and grits and it was humongous . I think I ate like two inches of the 14 inch by 8 inch omelette which had two crispy pieces of bacon resting on top and loads of goodies inside . I asked for a bit of brown sugar and raisins and milk and no butter for my bread or grits ( on the side is better for me ) and they complied . There were friendly patrons and I overhead two retired military men so I told them my Army ROTC experience and how Camp Pendleton Doctors dismissed me from being an officer due to me not being able to squat within 8 inches of the ground and that my foot was flat - it's not really flat but I do have low arches

We arrived an hour prior to closing and we're instantly greeted. We chose a table closest to the bathroom as I knew I was going to be drinking coffee. With no wait, we were asked what we'd like to drink. Soon after, we placed our order. We got the club sandwich w/ fries and French toast topped with fresh fruit and a side of bacon and eggs. The portions are MASSIVE and tasty! All food was prepared fresh and with love. I will be back to try other items on their enormous menu.

I've been here before. Had the chorizo with eggs. Can't say it's the best I've had. Home fries were over cooked. It wasn't very busy, so it was quiet. I'll give it another shot, hopefully it will be better

Prices have gone up 14.99 for a chef salad. Salad was good but cucumbers were not crunchy. They looked old. Had to ask for coffee as the waitress did not come over to ask. Place is nice and spacious.
