What a gorgeous place! Clean with comfortable queen size beds. Inside our #1 suite was a sitting room with 2 day beds, the the bedroom & bathroom with a clawfooted tub. All beautifully furnished in southwest decor. A backdoor leads into a hugh courtyard with multiple cozy sitting areas and wonderful plantings. Different varieties of hummingbirds all around, finches & cardinals galore. Kitty Cheeky roams the gardens but not in the rooms. Brought Seattle guests who stayed in #2, and loved it. Will definately stay again. Hosts Rick & Bekki Jaymes were perfect!

As the earlier reviews indicate this is the place to stay in Patagonia, Arizona. Perfect in every way. Owners/managers on site to make sure everything is PERFECT, not just OK. Photos and text descriptions can't do it justice. We'll be back. The Huseonica family from Sun City, Arizona.

This is the quietest and most beautiful places we stayed on a fairly long birdwatching trip in SE Arizona. It's convenient to several good birding areas. We stayed in a room with a combined kitchen and bedroom and its own outdoor sitting area overlooking the splendid garden with many bird feeders. The plants in the garden are beautiful and well-cared-for. In addition there are many statues, garden seats, table-and-chair areas, a hammock, potted plants, and Mexican metal statues for an impressive overall effect. The dishes and decor in the bedroom were also Mexican-themed, including very well-executed wall paintings. The bathroom and walk-in shower were large and decorated with interesting tile work.Breakfast is served only on weekends, but we enjoyed coffee with food that we kept in the refrigerator in the room, and we also ate lunch and dinner in the garden. As everyone says, the hosts are very pleasant, welcoming people.

We had a LOVELY time at this B & B! The hosts were wonderful, the room was private and secluded (we were on the end) and the gardens were astounding. Lovely morning coffee, yogurt, and gorgeous fruit on the enclosed screened patio. Every detail is beautifully thought out for your maximum enjoyment - from the placement of each plant in the garden to the bottle opener in the room. HIGHLY recommend this beautiful oasis.

This place is perfect for those looking for a quiet get-away in a tranquil and beautiful setting. Nancy and Ralph, the owners, were not there when we arrived at 5:00, but they had left a very clear note, so we had no problem finding and accessing our room. Ralph made sure we knew what time to come for breakfast shortly after we arrived and were settling in. Nancy and Ralph have taken great care to make the bedroom, sitting room, and bathroom of each suite visually appealing and comfortable, including providing a wine bottle opener, toiletries such as Neutrogena Rainbath shower gel, books, board games and a CD player with classical music CDs. I loved the Mexican decor in our room. Four people could have stayed in this suite, since the sitting room had two daybeds. The backyard patio and garden are truly stunning. There are several places (including a hammock!) scattered throughout the garden to sit and enjoy watching the birds or just sit back and relax undisturbed. The hosts stay out of your way and are not too big on casual chit-chat, which may be off-putting to some and refreshing to others. Breakfast was delicious, and the table setting was beautiful. We had a yogurt parfait with a variety of fresh fruit, banana bread french toast with local honey or maple syrup, and eggs with feta cheese and sausage. We chatted with the other couple staying at Duquesne. Nancy served us and did a nice job explaining what she had prepared and making sure we had enough coffee. By the way, if we had gotten up early enough, we could have enjoyed coffee outside or in the enclosed porch before heading into the dining room to eat. Nancy recommended an alternative scenic drive to a local winery we wanted to visit and provided a map, as well as thorough directions. This ended up being one of the highlights of our trip!Make sure you tell them ahead of time if you have any dietary restrictions or are allergic to feather pillows; they don't ask. There are a couple of cats on the premises. Although they are not in the rooms, the cats are friendly, and this may not be the place for people who are allergic to cats. Also, this bed and breakfast takes a credit card number to hold your reservation but only accepts cash or check as a form of payment. One minor annoyance was the small drip coming from the bathroom sink's faucet; it kept me up because it is incredibly quiet here at night. Overall, I loved the beauty and tranquility of this bed and breakfast.

My mother and I absolutely LOVE this place! The wonderful garden, the cute & very comfortable rooms and our kind hosts Bekki & Rick made the Duquesne House a paradise for us. So much so that we wished we didn't have to leave for the next part of our road trip because we wanted to stay there longer. We'll be back, though. I could happily spend a whole day exploring more of the garden with the friendly tortoiseshell calico kitty/self-appointed-ambassador.I've been telling all of my friends and coworkers about the Duquesne House and hope they do visit there so they can see for themselves just how fantastic it is, since photos don't do justice.

Super cute place with wonderful hosts!! We booked this place last minute and had the best weekend getaway, the owners are wonderful and make you feel welcome. The suite we stayed in was priced great for the space. The front room was 2 day beds that converted to twins and the back room had a queen. The bathroom opens up to the common area which was a bit funky but not bad! The common area was filled with plants and beautiful iron work. There is great bird-watching happening in the back yard. This is a cute quiet area that is perfect for relaxing. We met some very nice people at breakfast... oh breakfast.. that was the best treat of all !!! Super yummy french toast magic and a lovely fruit/granola/yogurt meal. I highly recommend this place if you can't tell! We will be back :)

Charming, quaint, friendly, I could go on and on! The owners, Becki and Rick, welcomed us at the door, by name. Showed us our lovely rooms, the charming back porch and gardens and extended to us the most genuine hospitality. The rooms are appointed with delightful and welcoming quilts, antiques, books, local lore and appealing hand crafted pieces of art and furniture. Lots of interesting history as this house was built in the 1800's to house miners and has had many loving renovations. Patagonia and area offers much outdoor activity, wine tasting and fascinating folks. I greatly anticipate my next visit to The Duquesne House and Patagonia!
