One of the best things I did in 2017 is starting to take aerial silks classes at the Circus Academy of Tucson. I had my eye on taking classes for the last few years and after a few friends expressed interest, we took the leap and started what has been a very fun (and strengthening) journey so far. I started taking beginner silks in October of this year and I typically go about once a week. Katherine is a great instructor. She is patient and encouraging and even when I think I can't do something, she keeps me going. In addition to Katherine, there are typically a few advanced students at each class and they are also very helpful. The academy is a welcoming environment and I highly encourage anyone who is interested in circus arts to pop in for a class. Oh, and of course it's a great workout too!

The classes here are so fun and every day is a chance to push yourself and learn more. The teachers are always super nice and there is always a positive atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable and we always have new students. I have advanced so much in such little time and I encourage everyone to sign up for a class!

The best place for kids and adults to try out circus classes and to train in aerial acrobatics! I have been taking aerial classes (silks, lyra, trapeze) with Katherine, the owner of the Circus Academy, for about three years. Katherine has years of experience teaching aerial arts and is focused on safety. She's also an awesome all-around circus performer who does aerial, stilts, poi, tight rope, and globe! There are so many classes to choose from! If you want to see what you like, come to the monthly Family Circus event, where you and your family or friends can try aerial, juggling, tight rope, and more. I also highly recommend the beginning silks and stretching classes on Mondays. There are class discounts if you register for a semester, which is certainly best for advancing your skills. Check out the website and come try out something new!

This place is awesome. I was a super beginner when I started, and the teachers were super patient with me. If I couldn't do something, they were able to modify it to fit my abilities until I could do it. The owner, Katherine, is very approachable. If there are any problems, she's always in the thick of things and you can ask her anything. The fact that there are numerous long-term students speaks highly of this school.
