Just in case you live in Tucson and wanted to shop for a wedding dress. Stay away from #Thebridalshop off Speedway.A month ago I started planning a location to get a wedding dress. I wanted to have a local company and not give the "Big Names" a client because they do well without me. So, in my searching I found a place called "The Bridal Shop". I looked at their dresses online and thought what a perfect place. It looked cute and small and the dresses were amazing online so I booked the appointment. When I called and booked a man answered and the only thing he said was, yes we can get you in , "what is your size " . I told him , a 10 or 12. So a couple days before the appointment I called and asked if we can bring champagne and he said , yes. We didn't want to get "loaded" just cheers to finding "the dress". I was driving, with my mother who is 75 and would NEVER get loaded at a store. If I wanted to get loaded I would stay home and drink. When we showed up the place was dirty, smelled and he was the only one on staff. I asked him who would help me get dressed and he replied, your brides maids. Then I asked are these dresses your only selection and he said, yes we only carry size 8. I said, well I called and told you I was a size 10 to 12. He said, well I can't help you. We ended up at Laura's Bridal and they were amazing. I also, wrote a review for the Bridal Shop. This is their response. Oh, and by the way, 10 years ago I was engaged to another man, he passed away the same day I started shopping for a wedding dress. I was really hoping for a magical experience but instead he sends this!Horrible, stay away!#thebridalshop

There was a lot of selection of dresses. When it came to the seamstress that did not speak English, she did not even a subpar job. I could have done the alterations myself and on top of that, the dress did not fit right. I found a stain on the train of my dress and when I sent her a text and picture of the stain she suggested that I dab dilute bleach on it. The weekend before my wedding I had to buy another dress from another Davids bridal. I was not happy with my experience with this shop.

A girlfriend of mine had an appt at this shop. I got there early. I went in to to see if I could start browsing and start pulling dresses for her. I showed him what style she wanted. "He said oh we don't have anything like that.". He asked for her size again I said "she wears a size 10-12" his reply of well "i only have sample size dresses 6-8 . I don't say anything. I keep looking around. I dont see anything that catches my eye for her. I asked to to use the restroom. He tells he where it is And my OH MY GOODNESS this place is DIRTY and DISGUSTING!! You would think it would at least be clean. And the area where brides try on dresses was so no appealing at at. This place needs to clean ( especially their restroom) their store and be more inviting to brides. My friend arrived I walk outside to meet her. She could see it all over my face . This place was NO GOOD. I believe I said something to the effect of " your not gonna find your dress here ,we need to go somewhere else ." My friend also did a review and he got backlash from the owner NOT COOL. We did want to celebrate by bringing some champagne when she said "YES" to the dress. SO NO WERE'T COMMING "TO GET LOADED" as you claim we were. So brides beware of this store!

I don't know about the selection as I was looking for a specific dress.( I also didn't visit the shop.)I found it online and called explained I needed it in a size 18 and he had it. Merrel added a paypal option and even did free shipping. My dress arrived 5 days later perfectly packed and clean, no stains, no weirds smells. I paid less for this dress than when I originally got married. Merrel was very professional and friendly.

Found my beautiful dress at a great price here. As mentioned in other comments, it doesn't have the same atmosphere as other shops. Service may depend on who is working, but don't come in expecting the usual bridal service. Fine with me. My mom and I were able to browse, pull dresses from the rack, and try on anything I wanted. All dresses were samples, about size 6 or 8, good selection, and everything was and half off. I mean it, half off for designer gowns. Worth a shot, yeah?

I made an appointment to find the perfect wedding dress. I live in northwest Tucson, so I had to drive a bit to get there. When I arrived, the door wouldn't open so I rang the doorbell... Three times; with no answer. I didn't end up sticking around because the dresses they chose to put in there display window were out-of-date and cheap looking. I wouldn't waste your time with this place.

Positives: I thought the selection was great and she seemed to have a lot of options. I also thought the prices were great! I found my dress for well under my budget!Negatives: It seemed like Sam, the owner, was high or something but there is something going on there for sure. She was very out of it when I was shopping. I clearly said all lace dress and the first 4 had zero lace at all. When I finally found the dress she quoted me a great price and wanted cash that day. I put a cash deposit down and told her I would return 8 days later (payday) to pay the remaining balance and pick it up. She was fine with that. She called me 6 days later and sent a text saying she needed the money, couldn't hold the dress, that I agreed to pay her on 6/30 etc. Crazy! I went down the same day and she said I had agreed to pay her a week ago on 6/30 but when she looked at her receipt it even said Thursday, 7/6. She said she was going on vacation to New York and wanted to collect. WHAT???? I paid cash and took my dress. Would never recommend this place unless you are able to walk in, pay cash same day and take your dress. Don't let them hold your dress- they may hold it hostage! This place is sketch! Other reviews on Google also talk about Sam and her odd behavior, poor customer service, etc. Take heed to those reviews!

This place doesn't even deserve one star, my friend and her bridesmaids were treated so horribly at this establishment. She got criticized for the size of wedding dress she needed to try on even after calling to make sure they had appropriate sizing, once she got there, the business practices were awful, women should never be treated this way on any day, let alone preparing for their special day!!! The place was filthy and the sales person was actually the owner who acted in the worst manner possible.

Great selection, great service and even better prices!! They will work with you to find you the dress you want at an affordable price!! Check them out for that wedding dress you really want!!

Merrell at The Bridal Shop is wonderful. I worked with him to obtain ball gown dresses for a Cotillion that my organization is hosting. He was patient and understanding of our needs. The dresses are amazing! I highly recommend The Bridal Shop and Merrell! Thank you Merrell for your assistance in making our Cotillion a night to remember!
