The Birria Munchies Truck

I read some good reviews, saw a cool, owner-made video of their $25 birria pizza being prepared, and had to try! Food truck is located via the south entrance to the Swap Meet. On this July Saturday afternoon around 6pm there was no line and one couple had just sat down to eat their birria pizza. We ordered and paid at the window ($30 with tax/tip). They give you a buzzer and it rang about 10 minutes later. I handed the buzzer back to the cook/cashier who took it from me while still wearing his latex (cooking) gloves (bleh). The birria pizza is essentially a giant quesadilla (2 flour tortillas) generously filled with birria and cheese and then fried on each side in a thick layer of oil. It's boxed in a 16" pizza carton and delivered with 2 small cups of caldo and 2 little containers of hot sauce. A pile of lime wedges in the middle finishes the presentation (see pic)!The roughly 14 inch "pizza" is pre-sliced into 8 pieces. The good news is it's hot, crisp, and loaded with birria. The only critique is how darn greasy both sides of the quesadilla were. Fortunately, there's a roll of paper towel mounted on the side of the truck (and also a big bottle of purell). The quesadilla could easily satisfy 3 people and we ended up taking half home and re-heating it in the oven the next day (just as good)! Picnic tables were clean and shaded. The only atmospheric-negative for both of us was the loud music that the owner blared from a 2 cubic foot speaker situated just to the side of the truck... and playing modern rap (not even old skool). Bleh. Poor taste in music and so loud that neither we, nor the other couple could converse without yelling.Note: given other reports of no-shows, we had called to make sure they would be there but their phone wasn't operational and mailbox was full. Sent them DM and they replied within the hour!I would definitely come back but I might opt for takeout if the music blaring is the same Lol

3rd try worked out. Just a heads-up if you go here during the weekend they charge for parking for the complex that includes the swap meet. The wait was a bit, but the food was excellent. I ordered 2 quesatacos which are quesabirria tacos. The serving size of each taco was generous. The textures of the tacos were great. The meat was flavorful and soft. I didn't try their salsa, but I do wish we got a small container of it. What I saw was a large bottle customers can add to their food. I almost always try to taste the food before adding anything to see what it tastes like on it's own.

Just ate here for the first time and we had the Birria tacos and it was the most flavorful amazing taco I've ever had in my life and I've had lots of tacos

Straight FIRE!!! Got here during their $1.50 taquitos Thursday special around 6:45 and it was pretty busy. We were given an estimated 30-35 minute wait and I was praying at that point the taste would deliver. It is in an outdoor food park with plenty of large table seating throughout. While waiting, they started turning people away right after 7 for the next 20 or so minutes. Someone asked what time they closed and they mentioned 7, however on their social media I saw 7:30pm and another post with 8pm so that can be misleading. We did receive our order closer to 40-45 minutes, but luckily the flavor made the wait completely worth it! If you're not in the mood for a wait, I highly suggest coming prior to the dinner rush or ordering ahead online. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu!

This spot is doing birria right! There are many unique birria items on the menu here. The birria ramen was savory and delicious, the birria nachos were loaded with birria and cheese and other toppings and there wasn't one chip that was left dry, they were do good and my absolute favorite is the quesa pizza, a huge birria quesadilla served with salsa and consume at an affordable price. It can feed 2-3 people easily. It was stuffed with birria and cheese, cilantro and onions, it's incredible. Service is very friendly and they have your order out pretty quickly too. I have definitely added this to my list for favorite food trucks in town.

Five stars again for my favorite tacos!!! Service is always friendly and fast even when they are busy! Ambiance is great especially in the evenings when temps are cooler in summer! Picnic tables are great and fit lots of people! Thanks again!!!!

I ordered the quesabirria tacos and horchata and my friend ordered the birra nachos. Let me tell you, it was AHHHHMAZING!! The horchata is homemade, the birria is so full of flavor and tender. The ambiance was fun and great for bringing my 3 year old son. Highly recommend. The only thing I wish was different is their hours... I wish they were open by 12 so I could go for lunch, since I work close by. Also, more days.

EXTREME FOODIE HERE!!! Love the 2 cheezy tacos I got from the BEAUTIFUL seniorita who will be a beautiful woman one day I know it! BEST food at Swap Meet!
