This building looks like it's seen better days, but it's old and worn out in a fashion that lends itself to the impression of character. The exterior is worn and rickety, and when you walk inside you can see quite a few artifacts. Like a bookshelf with some novels that appear to be thoroughly enjoyed, or the Maverick Pinball machine built 30 years ago. Bambi Bar has been here for a while, and it's here to stay. What I liked: Awesome bartenders. Big jello shots. The walls lined with caricatures of regulars. The oversized Jenga. The big, wraparound bar that can seat a lot of people. The other patrons seeming to all know each other. Not exactly my scene, but still a decent dive.

It's divey, dark, and dank, and that is exactly what I want it to be!! This is your typical DIVE BAR in a nutshell!! If you want swanky atmosphere and overpriced overhyped craft cocktails, you are in the wrong place. This place is a dirty sweat sock full of gin and a splash of old spice, and it doesn't care who knows it!!! It's a hard liquor drink, with a beer back out of a dirty glass and it's damn happy about it!!The clientele are an interesting mix of average Joe's and Josette's mixed with a sprinkling of hard working men and women washing the dust outta their throats before an infection sets in!!There's music on the jukebox that inspires bouts of reminiscing about the good old days, as well as tunes that make your head bang, and your feet tap! There's mismatched bar stools and a few tables scattered about, and a bar wench who's quick with a drink, and a friendly howdy do! This is my kind of place, it's grungy and gritty, and it makes me smile!A pitcher of Dragoon IPA, a frosted mug from an old school fridge and a smile from said bar wench, and it's hello happy time!If you like your bars a little bit rough around the edges, then this is the place to be, open at 6AM Daily, it is a must stop if you are in the area!!!!!

It's a dive bar. What do you really expect? Do you want bright open spaces, ferns and cocktails named after flowers or some other campy crap? Avoid the Bambi if this is the case.If you are still game, and want good, cold drinks, served by upbeat and fun people....go here. Sure it's dark, sure the place is a little odd...that is what you should expect from a dive.I concur with the other reviewers that the regulars here are spectacular and almost without exception great people to hang with, never been a problem in my nearly 30 years of going here. Don't show up here expecting to see 16 screens of football or soccer or anything for that matter. You come to the Bambi for one thing...to have fun.

Okay first off, there is a "Bambi the" business added to Yelp! and I have no idea what this person was drinking when they attempted to add this business, but I'm rescuing the Bambi Bar!You must understand, I'm a fan of dive bars. It's not the sleaze or the karaoke that brings me to my knees (odd choice of words, eek)... it's the camaraderie shown by the "regulars" that is often extended to the most unusual of guests, namely yours truly.I checked in to the Bambi at 11:00am on a Sunday morning... sad, I know, but I was waiting for an oil change. The bar was surprisingly full, with 12+ people sitting around the bar, outside on the cement slab of a patio, or playing pool. The bartender, bless her tattooed heart and crushed velvet soul, was happy-go-lucky, interacting with each and every patron with a one-two punch of jabs and one-liners. A friend and I sat down, ordered two drinks (myself a gin, tonic and bitters, she a vodka/OJ) and WOW were they strong! Heavy handed would be an understatement. We quickly invited 3 of our closest friends to join us. They have pool tables, darts, a jukebox, board and trivia games, as well as plenty of neon signage, caricature portraits and the odd picture of a kitten on the wall. The smell of chili dogs wafted through the air and to be honest, I would have eaten one if I were hungry. Also had chips, beef jerky and peanuts for snacks. Here's the real kicker: I bought 6 drinks for $12. I'm pretty sure the bartender was being cool, but she said that my well drink was only $2.50. And I was buzzed after one! Imagine the possibilities! Grab some friends and hit up the Bambi on a lazy Sunday afternoon (or any other time for that matter), grab the Mind Trap cards from beneath the stack of smoke-infused phone books, and enjoy your company-- you'll probably realize (like I did) that this is one of the coolest dive bars ever.Love you Bambi! xoxo, Me.

Ana from Colorado is a bartender who really made this place change from the friendly venue it used to be. Owners should take notice if they don't want to lose the clientele that has originally frequented this venue. I will not be coming be coming back.

A super fun icon ! The AC wasn't the best on a Friday eve with a ton of karaoke people but the music, people, excellent drinks and laughter makes the whole experience a fun one every time ! There are sooooooooo many people sad including us because this fun old icon of a bar will be permanently shutting down soon sadly due to the owner's passing. Please somebody purchase the Bambi and keep it going as the fun place it always was .... (Four stars because it's shutting down soon)

I went with my family to look around and see if I would like to work there. After buying a few drinks for everyone I tried to find the door to go outside. I apologized for not knowing the place, as it was my first time there, and as I was going out the owner yelled at me, "And don't come back!" I had no idea why she would say something like that to me! What had I done but be a good customer??Unfortunately, I will not be asking for a job from this establishment! Not will my family or I ever step foot in there again! I recommend the same for anyone who wants a friendly place to go!
