I love this little studio! I take Nia dance with Avia and find it to be creative, fun, and relaxing. For those who love to move and dance with no judgment from the teacher or others, try Nia. It is quite unique. Animas as a facility is the perfect setting for intimate yet high-quality yoga, dance, or pliates. The people who work there are incredibly friendly and the teachers are professional and well-trained in their fields. Classes tend to be small so you get lots of personal attention. This is not an "exercise mill" in any sense of the word. Highly recommended.

Terrible experience at animas. I paid for private one on one sessions for Pilates and the first thing that happened is my credit card got all screwed up in the way they charged me. Not a big deal easily remedied. After making my first appointment, I get a phone call practically begging me to come in earlier because the instructor would like to get home to her children and had someone cancel. I'm nice, So, I reschedule. I go to my first session and the instructor was not very nice as if I was inconveniencing her with my inexperience. Then, I ask if there's a different instructor that I might try and they scheduled me. However, I have to be OK with a one and a half year-old in the room during my private Pilates session. Trying not to be a jerk, I say yes. They say maybe her husband could take the child maybe not. I rearrange my schedule so that I can attend the appointment and an hour and a half before the appointment I get a phone call saying it needs to be canceled. The mom that's scheduled for my session can only work two hours in a row and she's already booked for two hours. People, this is a business. I get that you have personal lives and your families come first. But, again, this is a business. I pre-paid for sessions that I would like to use one on one with an instructor. By myself, full focus on me. I ended up asking for my money back. I don't even know if it's going to happen or not I guess I just wait for someone to tell me. This place is a hot mess. And it's super disappointing because it's down the street from my house.

This is an amazing studio for yoga, dance, & pilates. There is such good energy at the Animas Center and everyone who works there exudes this. It is beloved by many loyal customers who do classes several times a week. I usually do one class a week. If my schedule allowed, I would be there as often as I could. Despite not being a frequent flier, the ladies know your name. The prices are reasonable and the teaching is excellent. They also provide free classes for special needs kids. My trainer's daughter goes there and loves it. They often do fund raisers for local charities and animal shelters. I feel very fortunate this is so close to me! This is one local business I really appreciate. Only major complaint is that the studio is small and I like to schedule private sessions and it seems like 75% of the time I try to schedule something, no one is available.

For over 2 years, I've been attending pilates mat, reformer quartets, and jazz dance classes at Animas. They even offer clases for special needs kids. The teachers are patient and explain how to do the exercises with care and options for different levels of strength. They are very thorough and handle any concerns with attentiveness and respect. Animas is my sanctuary away from the outer world that prevents back pain I fomerly had.

I've tried several Pilates studios in town and this is by far my favorite! Best instructors! I really like the variety of classes offered and there are so many options on days and times. Great location too!

I love Animas! Great classes, great instructors, convenient location.I recommend the Stretch class with Becca... it's amazing how much deeper of a stretch I can get in her class (which involves some gentle assisted stretching) than on my own. I also really enjoy the ballet classes here. With Whole Foods and the library next door, it's a convenient location where I can make one stop and complete multiple errands. Two thumbs up!

I did the Flash Mob with Animas at Park Mall. I was very impressed with them. We had a very wonderful time. The staff at Animas is very wonderful. They are friendly and kind and helpful. The dance instructor did such a good job teaching us the dance. She is a very good teacher. I would go to them more often if I didn't live so far away.

I have been a loyal Animas fan since 2016. There were a few wrinkles last year when some staff members left and others shifted, but the classes have been uniformly excellent. I mostly take Pilates, with an occasional stretch or other class. Currently, I am taking three classes per week, with two (sometimes three) different instructors. I love that each instructor has her own style, history, personality, and preferences. It's fun to mix it up a bit! I appreciate that the instructors are flexible and able to work with my body, for example when my knee acts up. Every movement is modifiable depending on ability. The staff are friendly, and there is a good 'vibe' in the studio. Unlike the Pilates classes I took in Phoenix, in a big gym, which felt like competitive Pilates, here the emphasis is on health and well-being. Nobody is trying to 'win' anything or do better than anyone else. The quarters make for nice, small, friendly clusters of people; my Sunday class is a terrific group with supportive energy. And while I see from one review that somebody did not appreciate having a small child on the premises, I personally (as a working mom of now-teenage daughters) like the family-friendly atmosphere. I also value that nobody's bodies are judged here; the emphasis is on learning technique, being healthy and fit, and feeling good. There are women (and a few men) of all shapes, sizes, and abilities, and I have never once felt self-conscious at Animas. A great little studio overall, though I hesitated to write this review because I like that it's not overrun and I can still find classes that are open. Plus, given the location, I can also fit in a trip to the public library and a Whole Foods run.

The staff here is very supportive and friendly and I think they have a really good variety of classes. If you like dance as well as yoga, you will be very happy here. And I must say, the mat pilates classes are really well run. The reason this isn't a four or five star is that they have a membership program, so you need to be good about using your classes by the expiration. I always find these programs harder to work into a busy lifestyle than other more flexible programs. Also, consider the neighborhood...River and Craycroft so it will be pricier.
