This was a very unique food tour and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Elysa really loves Tucson and it shows through her knowledge of history, current events, murals and cultural events. It was definitely an immersion in the city, being woven together with a food tour.We met at a food market, but ended up using that as a place for introductions (and parking for those who drove) and a way to catch the streetcar into downtown, Elysa sharing info about Tucson and the surrounding area, all along the way.She also has really honed in her relationships with the restaurant owners/managers, as a couple of them came out to speak with us about what they do. That was a really nice touch. The dishes were unique - a pasta dish with peaches (much better than it sounds), and East Indian Latino fusion. And we each got to choose what flavors of ice cream we wanted for dessert. And as a treat, we went into the Fox Theater and met the sound engineer and heard about the fascinating history of the theater. The Historic Downtown tour is a lovely way to spend a half day in Tucson and for anyone who is into food or history, should make this part of their visit.

Our Taste of Tucson this last week was a delight. Organized by our clever Quail Creek Travel club guru, we found it to be entertaining and educational. We started our trip at El Mercado on Congres so we could have free parkingthen met our two tour guides who gave us background on this lovely complex for shopping and dining. Then we hopped on the Tucson Trolley and headed out for our stop. Our walks from one place to the next was easy and we learned a lot about Tucson. Then we ate. I really enjoyed the "bites" at each restaurant and we were certainly full at the end of our tour. Great way to try out a variety of new places to eat. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and did a great job. Highly recommended

My family and I had the privilege of experiencing a Taste of Tucson Downtown food tour and it exceeded our expectations in every way! Our tour guide Ann was friendly, organized, helpful, knowledgeable and skilled at guiding us in an entertaining manner through the entirety of the experience. The historic and cultural information Ann shared with us throughout the tour was incredibly interesting and inspired many thought provoking questions and comments within our group during our time together. The food that was selected for our tour was absolutely divine! The thoughtfully selected restaurants served a wide variety of exquisite culinary regional treats which ensured our future return, as the generous portions at each stop left us feeling completely satisfied. If you are looking for a locally owned and sourced cultural tour unique to Tucson, Taste of Tucson Downtown should be your first and only choice!

Elysa and her staff are amazingly personable, kind and knowledgeable. The tours I have been on have been more than satisfying both culinarily and educationally. The touring staff have real relationships with the culinary teams at each restaurant and the tour goers are treated like family. You will learn so much about Tucson culture and cuisine. No "Secrets" about how amazing "Taste of Tucson" tours are. They are the best in town. Locally and lovingly owned. Please Support Local.

Our tour was terrific. Jennifer, our tour guide, taught me things about Tucson history that I never knew and I've lived here a long, long time. And the food! I can't say enough about the restaurants she took us too. The portions were huge, not the little samples we expected (we were offered boxes for things we couldn't finish). Elysa, the owner, picked wonderful restaurants for us. She was so accommodating about reservations. Jennifer couldn't have been nicer or more gracious. Thank you both for a wonderful experience.

Our guide was Ann, and she did an excellent job. She was very informative, and I had no idea there was so much about Tucson to know and appreciate. Our walking tour included stops at 4 restaurants, each of which I'd now like to revisit. Taste of Tucson provides great value for the cost, which was very reasonable.

Our guide, Elysa, was absolutely wonderful. She sets the standard for excellence for tour guides. She constantly informed us of Tucson cultural, architectural, and historic significance as we walked the tour. Her knowledge possessed great depth of subject matter. She also chose 3 Tucson-local culturally diverse wonderful restaurants for our food samplings. And a fourth establishment for ice cream, treats, etc. for dessert. Without any reservations I highly recommend you tour with her.

I had friends from out of town, who have never done a good tour. It was January and perfect weather for such an adventure. We were part of a small group, which allowed us to really experience the tour. We learned so much, we were stuffed, and want to know more about our town.
