Great small hike. Dogs are allowed.
Puppy friendly
The 30ft fall...doesnt end here...
Great view!
First set of falls right at the end of the marked trail. Very nice here to just relax and have a picnic. Easy walk down.

Great hike in which dogs were allowed. He loved jumping on the rocks. We went in June and there were pools of water but I wouldn't get in them or allow my dog to drink from them.

Great trail but not a beginners trail. Steep grades and not well maintained - we got sidelined a couple times. Others that we talked with had the same issues. One member in our party fell due to loose rocks. (Not serious)It's not a long hike, maybe about a mile. The reward on this hike is the pretty falls that you can relax at. Also, it's dog friendly so bring Fido.

Such beautiful views! It was a little confusing to find the hiking trail once the dirt road started but we just followed the landmarks on Google maps. Parked around where most of the other cars were parks. I think we got lucky stumbling upon the falls. There was plenty of water this time of year. The rocks around the water can get really slippery. It can get a little difficult when it gets more rocky for people who are not comfortable. Otherwise, it was so worth it !

Beautiful hike off of Redington. There is a simple trail leading down to the riverbed. From there, you hang a left to hike to the series of falls. Be sure to take note of the trailhead at this point, as it is not very well marked for your return trip. A GPS unit would go a long way here. Once on the river bed, there is no designated trail, you just pick your path along the river with lots of scrambling atop rocks. Just before the tallest fall, there is a basin popular for divers. You have to scale a wall to get beyond this point - be sure to have good shoes with traction. Coming back down this wall can be treacherous and there have been some deaths in this area. It is beautiful and rewarding to take this last part of the hike, but exercise extreme caution.Notes:-this is a pet & kid friendly hike to a point. Not recommended if you plan on heading to the 80' falls. -easy to moderate hike from top of trail head to river bed and lower falls. Increases in difficulty as you progress along the canyon. -Be sure to take plenty of water and sunscreen with you. If you plan to refill your water bottle from the river, you will need to run the water through a good filtration system.-if you are going to the 80' falls, best to have a hiking buddy in case you get into trouble. -you may encounter naturists along the trail. Say hello, don't stare and move on.

My most favorite hike so far in Tucson. We got there at 8:45 am on a Sunday morning in March. I wanted a hike with waterfalls so I just did a little research and came upon this trail.Overall this place is clean and awesome! The beginning of the trail was an easier walk down to the stream. There was a bunch of small falls here and it was pretty nice already. There is no trail after the first set of falls. It is more climbing over rocks and making your own path. We got to the 30 ft falls. That was probably the perfect amount of hiking for the day, but my destination was the 80 ft fall at the end so we kept going Then after we climbed over many rocks and jumped over some streams, we decided to turned around and head back to the car. It took us an hour one way for our trip. Guess the 80ft will be for our next trip. View was awesome! Highly recommended. Probably better if you had hiking shoes because a lot of rocks are slippery and there are many uneven surfaces. We did a little recording of the falls:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KpmFwNlb7A&t=22s

I went there at the end of August 2020 the place was already dried up and there's no water falls to see. The hike was short and there was alot of steep rocks to climb over I recommend going there during cooler months

Difficult hike, but well worth the views! Go early in the morning to beat the heat and sun. Went in the middle of October and arrived at the trailhead at 6:30 am, which was perfect. Hiked with 9 yo and 11 yo, they handled the rough terrain well.

Lots of fun & beautiful but rocks are slick because they've been washed & eroded smooth. Primary trail also has many side trails & is not well marked. I highly recommend taking a gps device in case you wander off trail following its many enchantments or going with someone who is familiar. Be sure to carry water & lots of sunscreen, it's beauty is brutal & more difficult to traverse than it appears.

Beautiful hike and scenery. Be careful and watch the weather during monsoon season as you don't want to get caught in a flash floods. It's really nice to go in May or June when it's not too hot bur there is generally water there. Pack a lunch and sit by the water on the rocks all kinds of hikers during this time. Pack plenty of water

When we get water in Tucson this is one of the best places to head a few days after the event to hike up to the falls and see it in all its majesty. Depending on the severity of the storm will determine the best timing of making the trip to the falls or if it is passable. Most of the Trail from below runs the drainage so make sure it is safe to hike !!
