At first, I was really skeptical about the fusion of Japanese and Mexican flavors, but Takomaki completely won me over. I had the steak tacos and adobada tacos, and they were absolutely bomb! The flavors were bold, well-balanced, and unique in the best way possible. There's still plenty on the menu I need to try, so I'll definitely be back. The restaurant has plenty of dine-in space, and the staff is incredibly welcoming, making the whole experience even better.

The best flavored and FRESH taco experience in town. Sit down or take out. You cannot go wrong with the chicken or carne asada tacos. Two is plenty for these cooks fill'em up. I have NO clue how the sushi side is... I hear it's just as fresh and good... the place is semi small. Eight 4x seaters in all. Plus two tables outside, and a few bar seats. It can get loud in here for conversations echo in small spaces. Love the energy of the crew. Taco Tuesday is always a very fast paced day.... So expect some delays with seating and food... Imagine that. Cheers and best wishes to my girl CeCe as she's moving... bummer! Do great!!

Tried this on a whim, and it did not disappoint! The guacamole with ribeye was fantastic, and the tacos did not disappoint. We were intrigued by the Japanese Mexican fusion and it was worth the stop. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, the setting was great, will be back!

Mexican Japanese Fusion you say? I was SUPER SKEPTICAL I gotta admit y'all; My Japanese mama was like YEESH!!!! When we first pulled into the parking lot I wanted to turn back around... but I'm so glad we stayed! I quickly saw that these guys def make it work! They don't try to actually FUZE the Mexican with the Japanese - they are a Mexican place that also happens to serve Sushi rolls and a couple of Asian inspired bites! So we met one of our FAVE OG couples here in Sierra Vista/Fort Huachuca in AZ for dinner. We've known this couple since we were both young Padawan parents and now we are empty nesters and they are in the home stretch!! Man! It's so WILD seeing our kids grown up!! But ENDYWAYZ!!!This little place is part of a HUGE re-vamp of the local area that my GORGIE friend Sarah P has been a LARGE part of making happen!! SV/Ft Huachuca has seen a massive overhaul of their downtown centro. With removal of tired and abandoned spaces and the revitalization and beautification of the area. This very building was once an old - OLD STYLE Chinese Restaurant, now has been renovated to incorporate not only the now Updated Chinese (and now Thai too) place, but also a gift shop - and THIS little Gem!!TacoMaki is a hangout spot! Complete with bar!! They clearly invite you to come chill and take a load off at the end of a hard day! Come partake of cerveza, have a few rolls, or a steak and tortillas, and then once you're good n relaxed? Shimmy on over to the little open space and MOVE a bit to wiggle some more of your stress away!! There is a bit of move around space as if they want a couple people to get out there n shake they shimmy if the need should present itself!! The TM menu is super colorful and absolutely scrumptious for the eyes and appetite!! They have EVERYTHING!! From Guac, to Nacho fries; shrimp Tacos to Street Tacos (and you wouldn't BELIEVE the fillings! But more on that later!). They have Fried rice, steak n shrimp and chicken (cooked local style of course!); and burritos and Sonoran hot dogs (a local specialty!) and then they have the Japanese sushi rolls. Now the thing about their sushi rolls that you will need to know is this: ALL of their rolls are of the cooked variety. So do not show up thinking you will be able to partake of sashimi or tuna rolls or anything raw because that's not their gig. They do things like the Jalisco Roll - (baked) w cucumber , algae cream cheese and avocado inside and melty cheese n chipotle sauce outside; Cali rolls, spicy shrimp rolls (chopped cooked creamy shrimp inside), tempura rolls, chicken rolls etc. still super tasty!! Oh! And since they have a bar? You KNOW they come correct w the ADULT BEVERAGES!!! So we started w their Chicarrones de Ribeye (YESSSSS!!!) and the Spicy shrimp roll. GUYS!!!! This Guac is BEYOND BE-OND!!! I make my own Guac and I Go Next Level w the garlic -and these guys did NOT disappoint!! CREAMY, CHUNKY, GARLICY, LIMEY-EY YUMMMMMMMY!! And the MEATY CHUNKS OF RIBEYE chiccarrones push it all OVER the top!!! I could BATHE in this n then lather it on as after bath lotion!!! Yes baby!!! Next for our entries!Hubs had the Ribeye Street Tacos- super tender beefy strips of Ribeye inside flour (your choice) tortillas beautifully presented with five different salsa, picos, onions n such. They really are Profesh at the presentation! These little folded treasures were perfectly seasoned, Perfectly tender and with the salsas n condiments allowed for the perfect blend of taste combos. My friend Sarah had the Quesabirria Tacos with an amazing consume - you get three Gorgeous meat packed tacos and a super rich dunking sauce. My girl could NOT finish all three!! They were tender and RICH meaty tasting!! And that consume Had to be an All Night simmer type yummage!! Rich and FULL of beefy flavor!! Her hubs Jake had the New York Steak Tacos which were EXTRA beefy and Next level tender I HAD to take a bite of that beef!! And the flavor was Outstanding!! Just the right spice mix! What IS that you use? Simple and tongue tingly!I was feeling adventurous n had two streets tacos, one with with Beef tongue and the other with Beef Marrow guts (Tripas). Now I was actually expecting typical soft stewed tripe in my tacos but THESE were CRISPY!!! It was FANTASTICLY SUPRISING!!! Crunchy little morsels inside of my little street corn taco with cilantro and salso. Just the right size and the flavor is BOMB. The beef ring ur was super tender and beefy as well. I LOVED both!! Oh! And their bar has some next level drinks as well!! Sarah has some top notch Tequila called Clase Azul Reposado. The GOOD stuff! It tasted Amazing!! I am allergic to alcohol but I HAD to take a sip!!!Come ck em out!! You won't be disappointed!!

This place is awesome! Out of all the places here in Sierra Vista, we are always looking for something that's offering a big city quality of food and atmosphere and this place is it. I just came in for a short bite and went with their Monday special of two dogs with a drink. The dogs tasted fantastic. The bread was very fresh, the peppers were an excellent side and the bacon was cooked perfectly. Also ... where else in SV do we have Sapporo on draft ? Service was very fast and courteous offering napkins after my first few bites seeing that the dogs could get messy! I definitely want to come back and indulge on the Sushi side of things on a date ... but this was perfect for a solo late lunch!

I walked in on an early Saturday Evening. I was immediately surprised how upscale it was; I felt a bit embarrassed walking in with the clothes I just vacuumed my car in.Service was friendly and fast. I came in solo but the six-stool bar was packed. I was seated at a table meant for four. I ordered a chicken burrito with a glass of water, and then spent my time in the restaurant watching people. The place isn't very big, so the evening crowd made it loud. The table next to me had a birthday, and all the servers came by to sing loudly for the Birthday Girl. The only quiet place was the lone bathroom.I must admit the food, the presentation of the food and the service were all top notch. Even the small portion of guacamole that came with my burrito was creamy and not too spicy. All five servers came by my table to ask me if everything was ok. That seemed a bit overkill, as even the manager came by to check on me.

In a group of five, we waited five minutes for a table at 6:40 on Monday. Popular but too noisy for me. Some of our orders were wrong, perhaps the staff could not always hear each other. Took a while to explain that I wanted a mocktail. I liked the virgin Adios drink.
