Tabu Bar

Love this place. Amazing drinks, ambiance is really cool, the crowd it attracts is fun and full of energy. This is easily my favorite bar in Tucson. Briana the server was really good at her job, nice and she also plugged my phone in for me. I always recommend all of my friends Tabu

Came in for a quick drink on a slow post-holiday day. Beautiful bar that feels spacious and luxurious with big couches for sitting and smaller tables. Our bartender/waitress was good checking up on us a few times. Used the bathroom but it was not properly stocked. They also gave a decent happy hour menu.The men's bathroom stall has no lock on it so anyone can accidentally walk in while you are doing your business. Very little TP too. No additional rolls to be found. Thank goodness there was just enough. No soap in the soap dispenser. That's about it. Honestly just a small issue I would have never known about if I didn't have to use the restroom.Despite the bathroom issue, I would come back and recommend this place to others.

My husband and I went here Friday night for our date night. I was surprised to find that it seemed somewhat empty, the bar had a good crowd. Our server approached our table quickly and helped us. She was very friendly and nice. My only complaint towards the service is that with so little tables (just us and maybe 1 other), We still seemed to wait a little bit for things we needed such as when we needed a box and the bill, or when I wanted to call her back for a question.We ordered the potato appetizer which was delicious, as well as a buffalo wings, which were your standard wings, no complaints. I ordered one of the burgers, and it did not come out as expected as it was missing the bacon wrapped jalapeño, described in the menu. When I asked about it, the server initially said that the burger was as it was supposed to be, I figured I had it wrong and let it go. However, we still had the menu on the table and upon looking at it again I saw that I did actually a different burger than the one I read and was expecting. When I called the server back, she spoke to the kitchen, and upon returning, stated that the menu was in the process of changing, and the kitchen was still learning it and apologized. She brought out the bacon wrapped jalepeno. The bacon was on it was rock hard and crunchy taking away from it. I also think it might have been turkey bacon? The burger was also missing other things such as the crunchy fried onion, but I decided at this point again to just let it go. My husband felt his tacos were "just okay." He didn't expect the fish to be breaded, though I liked it breaded. It felt they were a bit simple with no bursting flavor.All in all, the service was friendly just not prompt and the food was okay. Could be a cool spot for if you're in the area and just looking for some quick bites. Love the interior and the space the tables allow for.

The food was subpar and all came out at different times. The bartender tried and was nice but there was 2 other waiters that didn't help him and ignored us. Awful experience. And we have reservations. The place was not busy at all. The picture is the shrimp cheese crisp... which was a huge about of cheese, a barely "crispy" tortilla, and well you can see how many shrimp. No apologies nothing. How is this place still open?

Went a second time and had the same issues. Incorrect food orders, and wrong food items charged on receipt. Staff were accommodating, but this restaurant really doesn't have their stuff together. I will not be going back.

We revisited Tabu on a Thursday and it was really quiet. The server was attentive and new to the restaurant. I had a bowl of Tortilla soup and it was fabulous. I tried to order a cup of soup but even though the menu listed it, we were told there were no cup sizes...confusing. My husband wanted Pozole but they were out. He got a burger that was ordered medium and came out well. It wasn't bad but it wasn't really very good either. He said it tasted (and looked) like a frozen burger. It was supposed to have Jalapeño and other yummy stuff on it but it was disappointing. There was a big whole Jalapeño on top with undercooked bacon wrapped around it. Not going to reduce the rating because this is not a burger place.

What a great addition to the downtown area! We had just experienced the wonderfulness that Forbes was for lunch and was really craving a cool and refreshing cocktail, upon a trusty Yelp search, hubs came up with Tabu! And to our delight, it was open!!! (It was only 1230 pm) We found parking across the street and hurried in. We were the only ones there and I can only assume because they had just opened. We were quickly greeted and handed menus. We told him that we were there for cocktails and he was happy to explain anything that we might have questions on. I went for and Angel Azul and the hubs went for the strawberry basil gin. Whew! Not only were they gorgeous to look at but they were also tasty and refreshing! It was too bad we only had time to have one because I wanted to have a few more!!! We shall return! Overall two new places on a Saturday and couldn't be happier! Yay!!!

Cool spot. The sound could be better, you can hear parts of the building rattle when the music is loud. The food and drink were pretty good. I got the Mexican Chocolate Old Fashioned and this twist on a classic cocktail was great. The chocolate wasn't too sweet and everything else went well together. The elote had good flavor, but was over cooked. Some of the parts were mushy. This could have been due to being a slow night or still working out their kitchen.

Lizbeth served us for our 30 th birthday celebration she is great ...... thank you tabu for making this day special I love yall

First time at Tabu, it was a vibe. Perfect little downtown spot to meetup with friends!
