I was thrilled with the repairs at this place! The power switch on my laptop broke, and they needed to open it up to see the issue. That was a $50 service charge. They called me a few days later and said that they fixed it for that price!Then, the guy said that my machine was slow to boot, and they could figure out why. The next day they called to tell me that the hard drive was failing, and they could replace it and "clone" the data to the new drive for about $200.When I got my laptop back after just a week, it's lightning-fast and like brand-new, and all data was on the new drive.I'll definitely return to SWS.

I had a bad experience in the past...much better now. I needed a laptop for a specific purpose. They answered all my questions, gave great advice, and I ended up buying from them and saved a little over $1,000 compared to what I would have spent from Dell. My new laptop works great and exceeds my need for now, which equals longevity (to me anyway). So, GREAT JOB SWS! And thank you!

"Drastic mischaracterization" nope, everything I said is pretty accurate to what happened."First off, you brought your computer in for service last October", you do realize how much time has passed since right? Do you guys just want me to leave my main resource for school with you guys indefinitely? It was shown to SWS in October and it is currently March. We didn't even resolve the issue cause your moronic techs misdiagnosed it. If it was an internal component that was overheating and causing the screen issue, why was that not found out in the first place? I took my laptop back once I was able to afford the asinine prices under a student budget. You guys wanted for repairs, $50 to look at it, $50 to install the screen, and another $220 for the screen itself. Do the math Fred, January, February, March, how many months does it take for SWS to diagnose an issue properly and fix it? Apparently, that answer is a "?"."You mentioned that the computer runs hot in idle but did not request or pay for a diagnostic service." Actually, I mentioned that as a side issue on the original request about getting the screen replaced due to artifacting. I made the screen the main priority and only slightly mentioned the temperature problem to see if they could figure out why the laptop was running hot on idle, they returned to me and said "that is just how hot laptops usually run", once again your techs fault for doing a shitty job. Also, your techs did not offer this service to me, they said it would be $50 to look at the laptop and mentioned ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about a separate diagnosis about the overheating. Lie more Fred, I get it you have to keep your fraudulent business afloat.You guys ordered a screen for me, and it came with 3 broken pixels (2 white dots and 1 red dot) and made me waste more time because you morons like to order from the worst manufacturer you can find! Great job!"We advised that there is a threshold for failing pixels through most screen manufacturers" Imagine giving your customers a threshold about how meeting the requirements for an inevitably bad screen is the precursor before returning it. You guys ordered a shitty screen, that is on YOU. I didn't "conveniently" leave out the fact that you guys returned the money I paid for the screen. I left it out because you did the BARE MINIMUM in fixing the problems you guys created. The amount of time wasted in ordering what 3 screens? What a stupid business practice. I deserve MORE than what I paid you guys for the sheer amount of my time and energy you guys wasted. How is returning $330 of my money going to make up for a destroyed high-grade laptop worth $1500?"We adjusted settings temporarily so that you could get work done on your laptop." All you guys did was change the setting so that my computer would not go idle. A terrible solution, one that I already thought of myself and ultimately is bad for the laptop in the long run if it is not able to dim the screen and save power."Delayed response from you after the initial complaint, " What delayed response? If it fell within the warranty time to replace the screen, how was it "delayed"? What does my "delay" have to do with the "low availability" on the screens? You guys decided to use an unnamed manufacturer, and once again pin the blame on the customer when parts aren't available? How pathetic are you Fred?The loaner laptop that I had to PLEAD for was only given to me once I BROUGHT IT UP, and I only got to borrow it for what 3 days? Out of the weeks and weeks, it took you guys to do nothing, I got to borrow a notebook for 72 hours. Wow, amazing, riveting. You dipshits didn't even think to offer it to me after making so many mistakes, after ordering several shitty parts, and after making me wait several weeks. I had to ask this of my own accord, not because you guys thought of it, which you didn't, I did."We cannot be held responsible for the parts or shipping times for our vendors." My GO TO local place for computer parts. They are one of the few Tucson places to have all the essential computer parts that I need without having to order or wait to arrive. They have fully custom computers, networking and technical assistance including installation services.SWS also carries accessories like mice, sd drives, keyboards, modems, joysticks, ups. The essentials include power supplies, motherboards, cpu, ram, harddrives and more.They also have a lot of used parts and components at very reasonable prices. If you don't need new cables or parts then this is an awesome place to pick up parts.

This place seemed nice at first, but it wasn't until I brought my laptop in for a repair that they weren't able to help me with. That's no big deal, it was when he said I should throw my laptop away, that upset me. It's a HP 360 convertible, it was newer when I brought it in. The men there made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about, and seemed very sexist towards me. It's not a place I'll ever shop at again being treated indifferent for not having the same opinion as them. Zero stars for customer service because it seriously lacks.

If you need computer repair, go to the Geek Squad at Best Buy, not to SWS. My husband brought his computer to SWS for a total cleaning of any malware. Expensive. A week later they called to say it was ready. He picked it up, fired it up, and immediately had problems. He then took it to Geek Squad who found 2 more malware. Now it works perfectly. He went back to SWS to tell them that they hadn't done the job correctly and to get some discount from what he had paid them. They don't stand behind their work. Their response was "read the small print".

I was building a new pc, but couldn't get the screws off the M.2 SSD heat sink because the manufacturers over twerked the screw. When all hope was lost, I was about to return it, and found SW computers who fixed the problem perfectly. I am very grateful for them being in town and for their great help.

I asked my computer expert friends who could help me with both "lessons" in my home, and Dell laptop set up and continued support and expertise. Everyone said SWS in Tucson AZ. I took a drive to their place initially to have my old laptop scrubbed of info. Cool store. Next I had a tech come to my home to address issues I had with all the changing technology. Good session. NowI have a tech come to my home a couple times a year and I make lists of things I need help with. I'm very positive about SWS!
