Sushi Cortaro

Greeted & seated as soon as I entered, menu is quite large & far more than just sushi. Tall Asahi & miso soup arrived quickly, spider roll & avocado California roll were both well prepared & delicious. Nothing to complain about, but the punk kids seated behind me were using curse words in every sentence until I turned around & gave them a 1minute glare. I'll be back & hopefully they won't.

Being referred from a friend relatives that Cortaro is one of the best sushi shop in Tucson!!! I ordered a Sushi Deluxe, miso soup n ginger salad... it's freshly, tasty n delicious!!! Next time I shall try more rolls.... Services were ok good enough n efficient... environment is more Japanese modern designed decorations!!!

We arrived about 4:00PM on a Wednesday in April. We were greeted promptly and taken to a table. The service is awesome, and the people are sooo nice. The restaurant isn't huge so I imagine there could be a wait at certain times. We ordered 2 Kirins, Edamame, the Summer roll and the Caterpillar roll. The food arrived fairly quickly. The edamame was cooked perfectly and lightly salted. The rolls had just enough filling and rice and were both tasty. We were happy and full when we left!

Located in a strip mall, this restaurant has abundant parking. The service was quick and the food was fine. There are a lot of tables in this smaller space, so it's pretty cozy. We had to take care not to bump into the person's chair behind us when getting seated. They didn't have many gluten free options unfortunately, so not a good place if you have gluten sensitivities.

First time trying this sushi restaurant. They do have more than just sushi. We had sushi rolls and fried rice. The fried rice was okay, good but nothing over the top. The rolls were all good. I had crab rolls and my bf had salmon rolls. The service was good, friendly and came at the right times. They have this spicy sauce that really just made everything next level better, the sushi rolls, the friend rice. I can't recall the name but it was amazing if you like spicy.

Sushi is good, the ambiance is just kind of weird... maybe it's the dry storage that you can visibly see everywhere. I mean, I'm sure they are just trying to do what they can with the space given. If they moved to a different location, bigger, it might benefit them. The rolls are fantastic though. Service is good!

Usually when we order from Sushi Cortaro, it's to go, but we decided to dine in and take our daughter for sushi. We ordered a plethora of rolls, including spicy crab, roll, tempura, roll, and the special of the month the Lover roll. The rolls were good , my suggestion is for the lover roll have a little bit more of a sauce because it was very dense and dry. I decided to try to softshell crab, the tempura was nice and Crispy . And the crab tasted fresh, sometimes soft shell crab can become fibrous. this was cooked well. My daughter got the Bento box she enjoyed it and loved the miso soup . Service was top notch, young gentleman that took care of us make sure that our waters were full and checked on us repeatedly to make sure we enjoyed our meal. We will probably come back again and dine in try some other rolls in the near future.

Food was average at best. Sushi was not rolled well and fell apart very easily.Servers didn't do much work.Guy from kitchen wearing a tank top was surely going against some sort of health code.Likely will not go back or recommend to anyone. Which is too bad as we are always looking for new restaurants.
