As I always, Summit Hut and their staff never fail to provide. I went in to purchase some new sandals for my over seas trip and I got more than that, Troy helped me understand the shoe fitting process in a simple way and actually took the time to measure my feet. No other sportswear business has ever done that. I now have a better understanding of my foots ergonomics and picking out the right foot wear. summit Hut and their staff are very friendly and knowledgeable in what they do. they even have an airlines row of seats set up so you can actually see if your backpacks or carryon are going to fit in the isle ways and compartments. Also check out their climbing, hiking and camping gear, they are top notch at what they do.Good job to everyone at Summit Hut! Thank you!

It has been quite a long time since I last reviewed Summit Hut. In fact it was one of my first reviews using Yelp, 11 years ago. When I lived in Tucson, they were always my "go to" store for everything related to the outdoors. They stock high tech gear with superior quality.Now I live in Indiana and they still work for me since I have not been able to find another store quite like the Hut. I recently made an online purchase of camping equipment. Instead of simply shipping my order, their staff called me to review my purchase. Who does that in this day and age? Always thoroughly knowledgeable about the products they sell, we discussed why I had to buy a different brand than what I used in the past. I felt more comfortable in spending a lot of dough on a different brand of my new equipment.If I have to go online to get what I need, then the Hut is still my "go to" place to shop for anything related to the outdoors.

Summit Hut is awesome and It's locally owned, folks! When it comes down to it, shopping for outdoor and/or athletic apparel and gear, one really does need an expert for things such as proper fit, sizing, etc. Summit Hut is my go to exactly these reasons! Their customer service and attention to detail with shoe fittings is top notch. Plan on spending at least 20-30 minutes getting measured and testing different shoes out. It's worth it, folks. The process is super thorough and you'll leave feeling confident in your purchase. From measuring, to learning how tie your laces, to testing insoles, they've got you covered. And trust them! My husband ignored their advice and ended up having to return his shoes. I followed their advice and committed to a proper fitting and I'm thrilled with my purchase!The store is gorgeous. Very organized, aesthetically pleasing and has everyone from shoes to clothing, all types of you can imagine for camping, hiking, travel. They also host in-store events like yoga classes, workshops and fundraisers. Truly, Summit Hut is a gem of a business. They have a strong online game too, so if you're too lazy to into the store, shop online...and still support local!

When I was looking for hiking boots, I did my research and found out someone had carried the brand that I was looking for. Not only with a very helpful in finding them and training mine. They were also very helpful following up with the size that I needed. Definitely recommend this store. Firstly, because of their people secondly because of their merchandise.

Great place to go for real-world advice from experts on outdoor gear. The experience is unmatched. I spent a pretty penny but my trip was enhanced by the utility and comfort of the coat, shirts and wool hiking socks I bought. Recently went back for more socks.

Great shop. I love supporting independent outdoor stores. It's not a super large store. Yet, within the store itself, they have an excellent selection within. Will definitely be the only place I'll get gear when I'm in Tucson.They support other Arizona business, stocking local products, which is why I would give them an additional stars if I could.

It's amazing how some folks, like "Kelly D," will spend all their vital energy to be rude and hurtful, taking their small grievance and blowing it up big. I've been going to Summit Hut whenever I'm in town for decades to get what I need for my backcountry trips and have met only friendly, helpful people.
