Summit hut local outdoor adventure supply store in oro valley near home goods , kohl's , & el charro . Plenty of parking , big store filled with top end, famous maker , quality outdoor gear. Everything you would ever need! Also on speedway midtown for many years.

I came in for ladies leggings in colors and they only had a type of thermal leggings at 100.00 a pair. And black colors. Still not what I needed. They did have one pair at the other store for 75.00In a cute color. So not yet, still on a quest!

I really enjoyed visiting this location in Oro Valley. Selections are a bit pricey but they carry brands you won't find in other shops.This store carries lots of local goods and books and maps on the Tucson area for hiking ,etc.What I love is the salespeople are friendly and patient as well as knowledgeable.My guy was drawn to the backpacks and even relived a few of the journeys he's taken while backpacking this country The displays showcase many of the items for sale and I loved them. Heck, I wanted to take one of everything home tonight I'm still on the lookout for a book or map on cycling trails in Tucson but I did find quite alot of useful items.

We were walking in the Mall From Kohls to Sprouts for a little exercise. I wanted to go in the Summit Hut. I hadn't been there and my husband was looking for a knife, a pocket knife. This is a very serious purchase for someone that carries a pocket knife at all times. Taylor the sales person gave my husband the complete tutoring about function of the knives.In the meantime I was cruising the store...I found leather and suede protector. You would have thought I hit the lottery! Hey Taylor explained what I need for my purse and what I need for My telephone wallet that is the best buttery suede A surprising purchase from Amazon for my Galaxy S8 plus made in London. The bottom line is butter suede would never stay perfect unless I got something to seal and protect it. when I got home I got out 6 pairs of suede shoes and hit it. This may not be a really important thing to yelpers but to me it's really important to be able to save my leather and suede. Summit hut has excellent service people that love their jobs..Taylor said you know you don't want that for that, you want wax for leather, spray for suede.The exciting part about this store is you can't make a mistake purchase! IF YOU ASK. What would work best for your purpose this has excellence service

Summit Hut is the best! Hands down! This location is really large and they have tons of variety of items. You can find everything you need here for your outdoor needs. Clothing, accessories, equipment, etc. We come here especially for hiking boots, socks, and proper UV protectant hats. And for all other hiking and offroading essentials to make sure we're safe when we venture out into the wilderness. They have everything needed to make a proper emergency kit and then some. Their prices are better than other sporting good stores around, especially the "big box" stores. The staff is helpful and friendly. The store is huge and clean, and well organized. Even when I'm not looking for something specific to buy, I enjoy just walking around and checking out their inventory. Summit Hut is awesome.

I went to their 20%-off-everything sale and bought a headband. I was interested in their Tilley hats, but couldn't find one in the 8+ size. In general, Summit Hut is a great store for outdoor equipment, but it's hard to compete with the product range available online these days.

Go to the Sale rack otherwise you will pay retail expensive prices. Knowledgeable friendly staff to figure out what you need to order on Amazon and Backcountry online if you're smart. REI outlet online good too, cheaper and same exact stuff.

Love this store. So much variety of outdoor gear. A big bonus is that the staff is helpful and very friendly.

Emilio helped me pick out superfeet insoles for my hiking boots. She was so helpful and knowledgeable. I always love coming here.
