It offers all that you could want in fitness center, including free weights, a multitude of machine weights, treadmills and other specialty machines as well as various group (centergy, yoga, power, blast, kick and spin) classes. The group activities are offered at various times throughout the week which make them very convenient. The center, including the locker room areas, are always neat and clean and the staff is friendly.

July 23, 2018: The building is off the main road of Sierra Vista (Fry Blvd) behind the Pizza Hut in a shopping center row of buildings. The is our first time here and using the free 2-week trial. We walked down a short hallway to enter the actual gym. We walk in and it's an open floor plan. The gentleman at the front desk greeted us with a smile. We informed him we wanted to look into a membership, he sat us down and covered the different options and plans. There is a one time sign up fee that is waived 50% or 100% depending if and when you sign up for a 1-yr or 2-yr membership within the two week free trial. There is a cancellation fee if you break early, free if you're military and have orders! We signed up for the free trial and signed up our kids for the daycare which is also free during the 2 week trial. 7yrs old and younger have a play room, while 8yrs old and older have a small "lounge" with two couches and a tv. I put my kids in the 7 and younger room and they had a great time. The staff working the playroom are CPR qualified. At the end of our work out the kids asked if they could come back tomorrow. The gym floor is a little crowded with the amount of machines vs room available. They have cable machines, free weight room (crowded in there also), and a whole line of Treadmills and Ellipticals. They also have a room for workouts like Zumba and a cycling room as well. The gym was clean and the staff was nice. There was nothing outstanding about this place for my first time there but only time will tell....

When we moved here, I was looking for a gym. Apparently this THE work out place in town, only I didn't take to it at all. The monthly fee was a bit higher than I'm used to and there is a large cancellation fee whenever you leave. You can transfer you membership to someone else, but then you have to know of someone wanting to join. The building is on the older side and could REALLY use some updating inside. I tried out a Zumba class and there didn't seem to be any limit on the number of people in the room. In fact, the room was so crowded you spent most of your time trying to avoid getting slammed by the person next to you. There is another gym in town that I have yet to try, but in the end I opted for something else.

Love the sounds of weights clicking the feet on the treadmill, and the Zumba music blasting through the room. Great juices and protein shakes. Plenty of wipes to clean machines after use. Feel like kickboxing, come on over need some instructions just ask. BEGINERS WELCOME

We visited Summit, Buena, Planet Fitness, and Cochise Racquet Club. After much consideration, we signed up with Summit based on the facility, the proximity, staff, and the availability of classes. It fit all our requirements and we love it.. No complaints at all!

Katie, at the front desk, could use a little sensitivity training. I approached her on Monday Jan 15th to ask about a piece of jewelery I had lost in their women's locker room. After some confusion, she became instantly confrontational saying: "Wait, but should you even be in the women's locker room?"Me: "Yes, that's the one I always use." "But do you have a vagina?" She said, bluntly, for all to hear. I was polite, tried to defuse and answered all her questions to the best of my ability. I was born nonbinary, believe it or not. Yes I have a vagina, also other things though, etc. Then she decided to get her manager after I informed her I didn't care and would use whichever bathroom she wanted me to. Or whichever had the shorter line to make it logical. During my chat with her manager, Katie would occasionally chime in: "We just can't have a dude stand pissin' in the women's room." and other classic anti-trans litanies. Frankly, there aren't any urinals in the women's, and how a person chooses to pee in stalls is solely the business of the occupant. I tuned her out to the best of my ability. The manager then got her husband and he was actually super cool about it. He said to just use whichever bathroom I was more comfortable using. Thank you sir, if you're reading this. About a week later (today), I received a call that my jewelery had been found. I had already decided before I entered that I was going to cash out my juice card and cancel my membership. Katie was the only one working and became quite nasty when I asked for a cancelation. She kept repeating how I was lucky she saved my earring for me, and if I had something to say then I should say it. I responded that I prefer writing, it's less dramatic. Mentally I added, it is also less easy to overhear. I actually tried to spare her in the report to the best of my ability, and I confess that her little verbal jabs and petty comments distracted me enough I forgot to write a couple things on my reason for canceling:Legally, yes I am required to conform to the F symbol on my driver's license. I would also prefer to not be interrogated about my genitalia in public, at a place I have faithfully paid to have use of for over two years. There are much less inflammatory ways to have dealt with that situation. She picked a fight and made it personal when it very much didn't need to be. I will be taking my business elsewhere, and cannot recommend this gym to anyone who expects to be treated like a human rather than an animal. All the best in these trying times, Andy Lullabee

Friendly staff, very accommodating. They have weekly and monthly passes available. Locally owned and super affordable. All gym members were nice. Good layout with free weights. Massage chairs and tanning beds are also available. By far the best option in town.

I'm a traveling nurse and thus only in town for a couple months and I decided to check out Summit Fitness. I loved that they offered me a 1 week free trial AND a month-to-month membership with no initiation fee! Because of this, I immediately joined. As for the gym itself, it's small with semi-old equipment, but it's generally quiet and it gets the job done. I've never had to wait for a squat rack or bench press. Often times I'm the only one in the weight room and locker rooms! I like that the locker rooms have showers, couches, free lockers... but, they're carpeted which is a little strange and icky. Whatever though.I docked a star because my boyfriend, who is also a travel nurse, came with me one day with the intent to join. However, the staff told him they don't do free trials for non-locals. They wouldn't even give him a one day pass. For this reason, he didn't join, and I wouldn't have either if that's how they had initially treated me. I've never been to a gym that wouldn't even let me try it out before signing up. What's with the difference in treatment? Also, it would be nice if they didn't play their music (music that I personally don't like) so loud that it's all I can hear through my noise-cancelling headphones. It's always early 2000s slow songs that they BLAST. PLEASE turn down the music so people have the option to listen to their own!Overall, I'm satisfied with this gym, especially because they offered me the free trial and month-to-month at a decent price (but looks like I got lucky and they don't always do this). Shout out to Jay for the awesome service he provided me.

A photo of their web page. This would make it seem like you would be able to go in and try out the gym, before purchasing a membership. Not the case. I was charged $9.00 to try out the gym once. Fortunately I was able to try out another gym in the area for free 2 times before I signed up. I honestly liked the equipment better at summit, but they lost my business, due to bs marketing.

I have only belonged to two gyms in Sierra Vista; Summit Fitness and Cochise Racket Club. If you just want to play racket ball or lift some weights Racket club would be fine but the music is BORING! Plus they don't have the most knowledgeable class instructors and no spin classes. Summitt Fitness on the other hand is a true modern lifting gym, aerobic gym with talented knowledgeable instructors for all their classes even their yoga instructors are top notch. They have great spin classes, the equipment is varied, up to date and they keep up with new technologies in equipment. They have the best of everything even music! Try it out.
