When Bob and Cathy were managing the place, everything was great! However since 707 Management has taken over in September 2012; Stonewood has become a bastion for trashy Section 8 residents and incompetent onsite management staff. 707 Management tried to say that we were behind in rent by a month, but couldn't provide any sort of proof or explanation as to what month we supposedly missed. This was basically a shake down for extra money. The onsite staff just SUCKS. They can't return phone calls in a timely manner, if at all. They can't complete basic maintenance requests. These idiots in the office are lucky they can find their way into work every morning.

Please please please do NOT live here-- for your own sake! The lowered rent price is probably not worth the hassle.Exactly as Cameron said, the management changed in the past couple years (mind you, like 3 times). Bob and Cathy used to live on-site, so maintenance could be performed asap and if you were locked out, they immediately helped you out-- even if it was late (not that they'd be happy about it). Then everything changed when the fire na-- uh, 707 came in. Seriously. They tried to evict EVERYONE (excluding maybe one unit, from what we heard) and charged each of us high hundreds to thousands of dollars. There obviously has to be something wrong when not only everyone in the complex receives an eviction and past due notices, but that we have never been late nor missed a payment. We mobbed together and threatened them with legal action (and would win, if we were aggressive enough to go through with it). The manager then stepped down and I think the management switched. They had claimed that what we owed was what the previous management had left, and there was some missing paperwork or something, I don't know. They weren't professional or smart enough to think that that couldn't have been right. They then moved their office to another location. And then another. And then another-- which is now at like Wilmot and Golf Links. They never, ever return phone calls, and they pick up 1/15 times. I'm not even exaggerating. They never gave us our lease (they claimed they couldn't give it to us for God knows why), and obviously as an authoritative power, asserted this no matter how we argued. The neighborhood went from friendly and even college-y to run-down, children-infested (nothing against children in general but these kids jump and played on my motorcycle, left large rocks in the middle of the streets as goals, backed into other cars and just LEFT, etc etc) I have had things stolen off my motorcycle (boyfriend's entire race bike was stolen) and every one of my roommates has accidentally run over one of those goalie rocks. People knock on my door for money. They crashed into the back of my truck while I was asleep, and I hear gunshots regularly. Maintenance does nothing either. We have had leaks for a long time and they can't even figure out what it is. Tbh I'm surprised they even showed up. Once. Oh! And they made the grace period to turn in rent 2 days (instead of 5, I think), which messed some people up, and they also only accept checks and money orders from what we've experienced. Makes it really difficult. Do keep in mind that the effort we would put into this lengthy review (sorry you had to read...) should show you just how horrible this place is and just how much we don't want anyone else to deal with this.I guess I have to be fair and say the pros of this place.Rent is 236.31, you pretty much each get your own bathroom, it is pretty new-ish, and it's decently close to campus (2.5 mi) Washer dryer included. Parking is in a lot and it is free, I guess. Free to get hit. Ok I'm done bye

You cannot beat the one mile distance from the UA campus (a block from Pima CC) and $300 rent for a nice, modern interior, personal bathroom, washer/dryer unit, free albeit slow internet, and spacious accommodations. The neighborhood is super shady, but I've never heard of or had any problems, and the complex has hired a security guard to roam the premises during the school year.Zero amenities, but I personally never benefited from a swimming pool and tanning bed anyway. Kathy, the property manager, does what she is suppose to, but I often question the legality of some of the things they do there. I'm not complaining though. Follow the terms of your lease and you should have a pleasant stay at Stonewood! This place was once called Quatro Vest Apartments, and it used to be so difficult getting any vacant apartment here. After going under new management, the place was almost completely empty but is now beginning to fill up again. I would definitely recommend this location over any for its value in price, location, and interior.PS If you have a dog, you must clean up after it or you will get charged $50 for every instance (that they catch you). Kathy's husband does the majority of the handiwork and it's a shame to see him walking around with a pooper scooper.

The neighborhood is spotty, but the apartments are very nice, affordable and mostly college students living here. As far as management is concerned, they shouldn't be compared to former managers when the previous owners lost ownership due to financial irresponsibility. Yes, this created some headaches at first, but they were simply trying to clean up the mess that the previous owners created.
