The food was epic! We had burros, of course. The tortillas are the big story here. They are made fresh and boy do they taste like it. The burros were filled with so much goodness! Oh and don't sleep on the chips & guacamole. Yum! Now this is a very popular spot and there may be a wait but it's worth it. Just be cool and enjoy the smells! There is also an option to order ahead if you're in a rush or don't want to wait.

This restaurant seems like one you would just pass up as if it never existed! Thinking they sold tortillas, fresh and handmade (they do), we stopped to find the lobby packed with patrons! Party dinners, to-go's and people just wanting a meal! The reason? The meals are plentiful, inexpensive, delicious, freshly made and authentic! The building doesn't promote a lot of tables for dining, however the few tables are clean and well stocked.Anyone who hasn't heard of this restaurant and lives in Tucson or passing by on I-10 going East or West, you need to get you some goodness! Blessings!

Not what it used to be. Place is take out only, food very greasy. On par with Filiberto's. Had beef enchiladas, better options in the area.

Went to try out their breakfast burrito with a foodie friend. We split the bacon egg cheese bean and chorizo burrito. The tortilla was nice and crispy! Great flavor and balance of ingredients! Very promising Mexican food! I would definitely come back and try out more of the menu! They were very busy! A local hot spot and also great bang for your buck! This burrito was just under 6 bucks and it includes their salsa. Fyi they are set up as a grab and go. Not really set up to sit down and eat.

This is a great neighborhood take out restaurant. FOOD: The food is always good.SERVICE: The staff is very friendly and personable. The best is to call ahead with your order for pick-up, but either way works out fine.

We hadn't bought food from there in a couple of months maybe a little more and I don't know what they did with their red chili sauce but it's not red anymore. My enchiladas were made with a light brown sauce that was NOT red chili sauce, also, the cheese was hard and cold inside the enchiladas, and my son's chili con carne burrito was gross he said. I also tasted it and yes, it just had a gross taste to it, I can't even describe what it tasted like but was gross and was NOT the same chili con carne burrito that we have bought there many many times before. I threw my enchiladas away and my son threw the rest of the burrito away. That isn't the worst part tho,....we are now sick with diarrhea, chills and fever. Yeah, it feels like food poisoning.I asked my brother in law since he has gone to culinary/chef school why would red chili sauce be a light brown color and he said it was exposed to the air too long and it's probably old/expired. So yeah, I'm sure it's food poisoning. This makes me sad because we've been customers there for a long time and this has never happened before. We won't be going back. Good-bye, St. Mary's Mexican Food. 2/22/2025
