St Marys Animal Clinic

Our great appreciation for this place and staff. They took wonderful care of our beloved dog Pepita. Their knowledge and compassion kept us calm, confirming we had found the right place. Dr. Erin Scott was so kind, gentle and professional.This place is 5 's in my book.

So far so good. Took a while to settle on a vet here in Tucson. There seems to be a "take 'em out back" mindset here regarding pets. We have a timid boy who literally loses his shit when he's outside of the house. The staff here are sensitive to that and seem to care about their furry patients.The front office is welcoming. They remind you about your appointments. The facility is clean and the prices are good.

Even though I am a customer of this business I was required to pay up front for an appointment 3 weeks away. Had other issues too.

My Blue was having stomach issues and our regular vet was booked almost a month and a half out so we couldn't wait. When I called St Mary's I was able to get a next day appointment. The staff was very friendly upon arrival. I liked that even though it's a small office there was a half wall up in their waiting area so incoming patients are separated from patients already there. We didn't have to wait our room was ready for us. A quick visit with the tech and then my blue literally laid in the lap of the vet and was rubbed down his entire exam. He was in heaven. We were given our treatment options and able to quickly get out the door. My appointment wasn't rushed but also wasn't unnecessary drawn out. We were given multiple price options for treatment. I felt the prices were reasonable. Overall it was a good experience.

Not a good choice for your primary vet anymore -- they have no intention of ever taking your pet for an appointment less than a month out, even if they get sick and need more urgent (but still non-emergency) care. If your dog gets sick you'll have to find another vet and transfer your records, so you may as well just never step foot in this place.Literally go anywhere else as they are riding off their once good reputation. Their website is inaccurate and the staff taking phone calls is rude and completely unhelpful.Not enough availability to take care of even their current patient load. Not a good vet to make your regular vet anymore -- they don't have the staff to make appointments less than a month out, even for a sick pet. Literally no reason to go to a regular vet who can't see your animal when they are sick or provide continuing care. Tbh I don't know how this place has stayed open, but it isn't anywhere near the vet it once was.

If I could give this vet a lower rating, I would. We went to Dr Gabe at St Mary's for years, and loved him. Then the clinic was sold and a new vet took over and she is horrible. She is terrified of dogs. I have an old Rottweiler who is a cuddle bug. This new vet refused to get near my dog. She kept the tech between herself and my dog. She extended her arm as far as she could (to stay far away from him) to listen to his heart. She asked me to swab his ears for infection and she refused to look at a growth by his eye. The growth needs to be removed as it is getting big and could affect his vision. It was a traumatic experience. If you have an animal larger than a hamster, stay far away from this place.

Lost my best friend back in August. Couldn't get an appointment at St. Mary's where we had gone for almost seven years. Not even a suggetion of who to see - just a "No." Then I read that Dr. Fender left and the business was sold. We turned to a mobile vet who helped us, but they couldn't even get our dog's medical records faxed over from St. Mary's. They blew us off. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Just overall a brilliant clinic. Kind and knowledgeable veterinary staff as well as the vets themselves. Truly a kind, warm and inviting space where my teacup yorkie and I were able to establish care after moving from Missouri. High recommend

My little Sisco and Lilly are in love with Dr. Hannah Bigelow.Sisco has had health issues his whole life. Dr. Bigelow takes my concerns seriously and in stride. They remind me when wellness checkups are due, shots and time when it comes to making appointments. Thank you for being one of the best run vet clinics in the Tucson area.
