Beautiful scenery, amazing office staff. Located near restaurants, public library, and major bus stops. Large apartments with in unit washer and dryer!

I just moved to the community and it already feels like home. The team treats you like family and the community is in an amazing location. The property is beautiful with lots of trees and green grass.

First of all, Makenzie H.'s 5star review is a conflict of interest as she is one of the women that work in the front office. Next, do not live here. The maintenance team are useless. My A/C was broke for some reason or another 5-7 times in the middle of summer in 115F heat. They'd come "fix it" only for the same problem to occur a few days later. Next the front office has no respect for those of us that work night shifts. They sent out emails indicating that they would be doing roof maintenance on some of the buildings, but didn't say which building they'd be starting with. Well after I got home from a grueling 13 hour shift in the ICU, I go to sleep only to have hammering right above my bed and pounding that shook my whole apartment. I called the front office and asked them to have the guys start with another building, but they told me "too bad". When I told them, I need to get a hotel now and they need to reimburse for this expense, they told me again "too bad". They said I needed to go through my renters insurance, knowing full well that renters insurance wouldn't cover a situation like that. Completely unhelpful, disrespectful, and no empathy. Homeless people walk through the apartment complex all the time, muttering and cursing to themselves. Random junkyard trucks come by and scavenge through the dumpsters for anything and everything. If you have a second car, parking is a nightmare. Theres like 1 free space for every apartment building, otherwise you have to park on the complete other end of the complex to get a spot for second vehicle. Fun walk in 115 degree heat. Their designated smoking section on the property is right outside my bedroom window, so you know nothing like smelling cigarette smoke when you're trying to get some sleep. It's nauseating. This place is so overpriced it's ridiculous. 1400/month for a single bedroom with an A/C that rarely works, and a front office team that couldn't care less about you. And what's more is they're increasing the rent. They only want money, they're pricing out their residents and as long as they can keep cycling through renters and keeping that money coming they're happy. Worst money I've ever spent. Total cash Burner.

Beautiful community with lots of accommodations for the pups. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Maintenance is also fantastic

I've lived here since June 2022. I talked to Jessica on the phone when I saw this apartment become advertised.I've had nothing but good experiences living here. The area is safe, neighbors are quiet but friendly with a "hello & hi" that is usually exchanged.Work Requests for any work in the apartment, is attended to in a quick fashion, which I really appreciate1The Staff in the Front Office is one of the best I've encountered in an apartment setting! Jessica and Sonya are amazing!It was only because of Jessica that I live here today. When I first met Jessica, I found her to be very personable and professional. She provided timely help and assistance while I was shopping around for an apartment to rent in Tucson! She works hard to take care of the residents. Clone her!I'm so glad I live here today! Kudos to Jessica and Sonya for their exceptional customer skills and hard work!

Genuinely deserves zero stars, I've lived here for about a year now and I would never recommend these to another person. Not only for the fact that the rent is already high enough for a poor apartment (I've stayed in better hotels) but they are raising it over 300+ for nothing. They have upgraded nothing, they paint over bugs and hair and leave the paint all over the floors, you can't smoke on your outdoor patio, your packages always get stolen, mail never gets delivered. Oh and should I mention again they're raising the rent 300+ dollllarsssss!!!!!! Run as far away as you can, there's a roach infestation on 1/2 of the apts and an ant problem on the other 1/2. There's so many holes in the property that they'll be inside of your cabinets in no time no matter how well you keep your food put away. Mind you they didn't tell any of their residents they were raising the rent just dropped it off at the door with no explanation as to why they need to rob everyone blind. Don't get robbed y'all, you're better off in the ghetttttoooo for the right price rather than up north in these "luxury apartments" that are raggedy. Oh and there was people stealing catalytic converters off of peoples cars so like I said, you're better off in the ghetto with some security cameras. Oh and if you want to be woken up at 8am to people pounding tools on your apt and blowing leaves, this is the place for you. The most money hungry apts ever. They're quick to leave a notice on our door, email us, call us, when they are trying to accuse us of something but when it comes to their hunger for money they won't say a word if it's gonna pay them more. The people in the office always want to catch an attitude, they will say one thing and then lie about it the next. DO NOT MOVE HERE THERES BUGS IN THIS HOUSE ALLL THE TIME AND THEY ARE NOT WORTH $1500 or however much they skyrocketed the rent! Oh and 1 more thing to top it all off, they'll have people doing work around the apts and they don't clean up after themselves, there were about 15+ nails in our backyard (the backyard they just jump over into with no notice that they're coming into our backyard early in the morning pounding on the walls and roof) and god only knows they probably didn't pick them up from the walkway and people walk their animals, kids run around here all the time barefoot, they don't think to tell the workers they hire to clean up after themselves. I wish I could find all the pictures of ants and bugs that I've taken, but the other reviews vouch for all the bugs in these apts. The images of the nails attached to the photos of the apts so go look for those there.

I wish I could give a zero star review, awful place to live. Way to expensive for how crappy the apartments are. So many bugs and definitely have a cockroach infestation. They have maintenance just climb on your patio with no warning so if you were no fully clothed or something to bad. This happened on multiple occasions were people would just put a ladder up to your patio and climb right on without ever talking to you first. Terrible costumer service, all 3 women that work in the front office are terrible, the worst costumer service ever, they are so rude and bitchy, they should not be working in any type of real estate and i don't think any of them have actual qualifications. Do not move here unless you want to live in the grossest rudest place and have a terrible time with everything you have to do lease wise moving in and out.

this place is a glorified hotel. my family has lived her for over two years,and every single day my parking space is taken up by people moving in and out. it is a revolving door here. do not move here if you like a quiet place where you know your neighbors. also --they just raised the rent over 210 dollars per month without upgrading the apartments. and they want 300. per year for renters insurance. i refused. we are moving! pure greeeeeeeed!

I've lived at Desert Shadows Apartments for nearly three (3) years. I am extremely happy with both the office staff and the maintenance crew. Not once has my request gone ignored or forgotten. Response is timely and complete. Although the complex has gone through several management changes, the transition seems to have been seamless. The office staff members have always been friendly, as has the maintenance crew. My neighbors are great; the green grass makes it feel cooler in summer. I've never had a roach problem; only once had ants and it was quickly addressed. Would I recommend this? Absolutely YES!

I enjoy living here! Clean, quick response for maintenance, nice staff, nice area of town, clean grounds.Facilities are kept clean. Very rare to see dog poop in common areas. Central mailbox, Clean pools. Nice sitting area by office that you can use a computer.I would give 5 stars but the parking is terrible and they allow very large dogs and they are loud if you live below them.
