I have enjoyed my time at Southwest. There are two weeks of classroom training and then two weeks of driving training. During that time, if you listen to your instructors, you will absolutely learn everything you need to know to pass the CDL A test. I will be testing in two days and I am very confident that I will pass the CDL test and be able to start my new career.Obviously, the driving part of the training was my favorite. We had Judy instructing us and she is awesome! She is super knowledgeable and really wants you to succeed. I highly recommend this school.

Absolute best trucking school ever. They make sure that you learn and pass every test that's necessary to start your career. I want to thank everyone who helped me including my instructor Jahnessa and staff Brady, Kristen, and John Figueroa.

If you are on a tight budget, and serious about becoming a commercial truck driver, Southwest Truck Driver Training will serve you well. The course is intense, you need to pay attention every second, but if you do, you will learn all you need to earn your class-A driving license. Instructor Judy is experienced with many years of OTR driving under her belt, and is excellent at explaining in plain English exactly what you need to know to safely operate these multi-ton behemoths.

I do feel this is a good school, minus a certain instructor. One being an instructor named Greg. Every time I was with my instructor Greg would start to lecture my instructor on things that had nothing to do with how he was teaching. then Greg would in fact just take over my instructors class and completely confuse us all. For days this went on. When we had our actual examination for our CDL Greg was the one testing us and he failed 3 of my classmates including myself because he had directed us during the test in a way that made no sense to any of us. Every time he interrupted us during our class, it would confuse us all heavily. When Greg actually examined us he told us to make maneuvers that made no sense to myself or anyone and failed us for not being able to do our backing portion. I do not understand how this man still has a job. he should be tested himself on the procedures because he for sure has no idea what he is doing. i did not pay all that money for this school just to have this man mess it up for me because of some sort of power trip. The other instructors I had were amazing, patient and actually competent. I wish I could give a better rating but that man ruin my outlook on this school

Update: After expressing my concerns about the horrible Job that the instructor Greg was doing, the campus director Mark and the training program manager Kristen made some adjustments and the difference was night and day. They paired me with instructor Mike and he worked a miracle he was so patient and gave me so many tools to use not only on the test but also in the real world he is a awesome instructor I truly appreciated the work he put in. With that being said I got my CDL . This is definitely a win for me and swtdt. I can't thank u guys enough
