The tamales have jalapeños in them so if you have kids who don't care for jalapeños they won't enjoy these. The number 10 was good. The chile relleno was good but the sauce was rather bland. The cheese enchilada was delicious. The chile con carne was very good! They should up their burrito game. Not much to pick from if you have a burrito lover with you. Service was slow. Drinks were left empty and after waiting twenty minutes we had to walk to the bar to pay. The waitress was dealing with a wedding outside so the bartender and the manager should have been checking on the inside to give the lady some help. She was running around non stop but the wedding party was obviously the main priority leaving the inside guests to basically just be left to themselves.

I love using Yelp to discover new places and support small businesses of all kinds. I never want to leave a negative review, but today's experience was, unfortunately, one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in years.If you're looking for the short version: The food was disappointing, the service was poor, and the value was simply not there. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money.Now for the details. While visiting the historic town of Tubac, we decided to try this restaurant. Upon entering, we waited nearly 10 minutes to be seated. Staff members walked past us repeatedly without acknowledging us, even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. That was our first warning sign.The menu prices seemed a bit high given the atmosphere. I also don't appreciate being nickel-and-dimed for every little thing--like extra salsa. But we were already here and determined to enjoy our meal. When the food arrived, it didn't look too bad, but the first bite told a different story--absolutely no flavor.We ordered the guacamole appetizer for $15, expecting a reasonable portion, but it arrived in a tiny cup. To make matters worse, no chips were brought with it, and we had to ask for them separately.It was a struggle just to get the check and leave. I could go on, but I think you get the idea. There are so many better dining options in the area--I'd recommend choosing one of them instead.

Margaritas were strong but good!Food was fast and good portions.Prices were a little high for overall quality of food.

What a cute little place! Since I was by myself, I just sat at the bar. A gentleman got up from the table where he was rolling silverware and grabbed me a beer and some chips and salsa. Someone else said across the restaurant, let me know when you're ready to order, then disappeared for 10 minutes. She finally came over and took my order, when I asked for a water. She never brought it. My food did arrive in a decent amount of time. The Chicken Mole was fantastic. While I was eating, nobody checked in to see if it was ok, or if I wanted another beer. After I finished someone else took my plate and I asked for a check. It never came, so I asked someone else. It took about 10 minutes before it came. I understand that restaurants get busy and this is sometime unavoidable, but there were more staff walking around talking to one another than there were customers in the restaurant. The only reason for a 3 instead of a 1 was the chicken mole. While I was there, another gentleman came in and sat at the bar. He arrived maybe 15 minutes after I did. Everything for him was very timely, because he was a regular, so they can provide service. He also got his check way before I did. I know the slow service wasn't just me, because several people came in from the patio asking for their checks.

Food, service, and ambiance were all very amazing. Seats were very comfortable. Definitely highly recommended.

When you walk in the door it feels like you walked into a different world. Beautiful murals, homelike decor, and festive music. Wait service is quick and attentive. The mariachi was great very energetic. The guacamole and dried beans are homemade. The chili rellano was cheesy and cooked perfectly. The enchilada was cheesy but with an excellent sauce that wasn't overwhelming or salty. The tortilla soup was by far the best thing we ordered. The best we've ever had. The music was a little too loud and should be turned off when the live music is being sung.

Huge! Large indoors and large outdoor space. Great views. 3* food. Great service. Adjust your bar, this is medium shelf food, in a fun environment, with great service.

Food was phenomenal, service was fantastic, and the entertainment was the cherry on top! Loved sitting outside with great company listening to the incredible voice of this singer.

Wow. What an experience we had at Soto's today. After escaping the nearby atrocity of Elvira's, we were hoping for a cooler, laid back, authentic Mexican food vibe. Vibe check was fine upon first glance, but there was something that just felt... off about this place. Oh, I remember what it was. It was the singular "bean tostado" that my friend attempted to order. A simple order to be sure, but at a price that should be considered illegal for so few ingredients. My friend balked at the $15 charge with no sides. She then asked for a side of rice and the look on the server's face was as though she had asked him to explain nuclear fission to us. He then correctly inferred that she does not consume meat regularly and after she stated that she likes beans and a hard corn shell, obtusely suggested a bean burrito. Incorrect, sir. The "complimentary" chips and salsa were awful and a compliment to no one, certainly not anyone who takes ownership for purposely serving this garbage to other human beings who can taste things. What a burden it must be to offer each of your customers 3 free ounces of disgusting "salsa" alongside approximately 14 chips and then having the audacity to charge $5 for the next 3 ounce serving. The worst part of Soto's is that this establishment is equally transparent and shameless in their willingness to rip off hungry and hapless tourists. The menu was horrifically over priced, woefully uninspired and I am so, so thankful I only paid $4 for a fountain Coke. If you want an authentic Mexican food experience, you might as well cross the border. This is tourist capitalism at its worst. The owners of Soto's should be ashamed to call themselves "owners" of a "restaurant." Avoid at all costs for the sake of your dignity and your wallet.
