What a blast! Without knowing anything about working with glass, I booked the Paper Weight for Two class as a hot date (see what I did there). Jason was such a great teacher! We were able to do most of it ourselves, but Jason helped us out a bit when we needed it. You could go for the dinner and a movie routine, but if you want a day to remember I can't recommend this enough. If your date doesn't dig it, take a friend instead!

I came to do a pumpkin with a friend. I had done it two years ago and the pumpkin came out stunning. This time there was only one main color. The second color there were only specs of it in the glass my friends shape was also not right.Less pumpkin shaped and more round without the ridges

I just made 2 glass blowing trips to Sonoran Glass School to create pumpkins. Our community Glass Studio at Saddlebrooke Ranch took 5 groups this year. We all loved it! You start by picking out your colors and individually designing your pumpkin with one of their team. :) Then you work with of their staff to create your masterpiece. It is hands on. If you're not comfortable, you can do more observing. The "blowing portion" is now done via a safe hand pump that you control. The glass masters at Sonoran made it "our day". It was fun, fun, fun. Back at the Ranch, we've all enjoyed our"unveilings". Each member unpacks their pumpkins and shows off their beauty to the cheering of everyone in our studio. Bravo to Sonoran Glass School. Thanks for a great experience! PS: Have you seen Blown Away? One of the masters here in Tucson, Priscilla, spent 3 seasons on the popular Netflix show!!

Took a class with my family and our instructor was Anthony "Tony". He went on a rant, talking about his life and how terrible it was, brought up topics like wars and people being murdered over history. At first he was going into an educational direction about the origins of glass and interesting bits about chemistry. Then things took a dark turn when he dove into historical horrors and quoting films from Full Metal Jacket to Apocalypse Now. He also mentioned that a relative of his saw Spanish soldiers throwing baby Gypsies in the air and then they would land on a stick to kill them. Everyone felt very uncomfortable and disturbed, we just wanted to finish our projects so that is why we didn't leave. I hope that he can have a co-worker assist him with workshops, then he might not be as unprofessional? I'm giving 3 stars because the class itself was fun but I won't be taking any classes with him. I don't believe he should be fired, I think this would be a great professional development opportunity.

Sonoran Glass School is an awesome place and such a hidden gem. We eased into our experience (pre-covid) with a Warm Shop/Kiln Firing sun catcher workshop! We basically broke glass and assembled it mosaic style then the shop owners fired our pieces and we came back to pick them up. This was one of their more budget friendly options at $25 per person, would be a great date activity or project with kids. They also offer flameworking and glass blowing classes that I can't wait to try next.

WOW! What an excellent experience to be able to create a lovely glass flower with my friends. We had a "master" glass blower / artist as our instructor and he was super patient, informative and helpful every step of the way. I highly recommend going to Sonoran Glass School and take one of their many wonderful courses.

This is such a great place to come for a unique creative activity, whether or not you consider yourself to have strong artistic abilities/experience. There are several different projects available with step-by-step instruction. This is a great family (probably kids at least 3rd grade+) or group activity just for fun or special events, it would make a great date activity, or just go solo and let your creativity flow. Staff is very friendly, and there are options for a range of interests and budgets.

I had my husband's ashes incorporated into spheres and couldn't be more pleased with the way they turned out. Paul did an absolutely beautiful job. It was everything I hoped for. He is very experienced in this type of thing.
