This is a wonderful place to take your children and a great place to listen to respectful words and ways being taught to all ~ Respect, practice and growth are at the center of every day spent here. Strength is gained through the teachings and many of the lessons life will throw at us is talked about here in a very honest way with simply wonderful solutions. Classes are offered for girls "Girl Power" boys "Shaolin kung fu" , for teens co-ed and for adults. Highly recommend the teachings and delivery of Robert Z Master of this here dojo!

My husband took Gung Fu for more than 5yrs when he lived on the East Coast. For his birthday year before last, I told him to pick out a dojo so he could do what he loved. Train Gung Fu. Mistakenly, he picked this one. I paid a month in advance. $100.00. We were told my husband could come train anytime they had adult classes and that he'd get a uniform. He was never given a uniform, went to three classes and was then told he couldn't come back after the three because the Owner/Instructor was "out of town" and new students were "not allowed to train while he wasn't there". My husband informed the instructor before hand that he had already trained before. I don't know if the guy wasn't paying attention or didn't believe him, but he seemed pretty pissed that his students kept getting chased of the mat when he'd make them spar. The b.s. they do to salute each other is unbelievably asinine. I can totally understand teaching a form of Martial Arts for empowerment. I do NOT understand why he's teaching them this for 'self defense' when realistically if they tried to use this as self defense, these people would get hurt. Badly. Standing 4ft away from your opponent and pretending to punch and block isn't sparring. Get some pads and really TRAIN your students. It's what they're paying you for! Flipping around looks great. Until someone comes up and snatches you out of the air and socks you in the gut. This was in 2011. It is now June 2014. Nothing has changed, sadly

This is by far the best martial arts/Kung Fu place you could ever go to. My daughter takes Kung Fu here and she absolutely loves it. The instructors/owners are very respectful, professional, and the best at what they do. They teach everything that you could ever want your child to know in every aspect. Pricing is very reasonable and what is taught and learned is irreplaceable and priceless. I am not an easy person to please when it comes to anything with my daughter and I trust absolutely nobody....but I am completely pleased with everything that they do and teach here and I would trust them with my daughter with anything. My daughter and myself will be loyal to Shaolin Kung Fu Academy and its instructors/owners for as long as they are here and for as long as they will allow us to do so. Thank you for all that you do and for everyway in which you do it......it's truly an honor and a blessing to have found such great people and instructors to teach my daughter the things that I am unable to teach her.

What is being taught is not Shaolin nor authorized by the Shaolin Temple (as advertised). It is a fine class, but not Kung Fu by any means. Use as a workout only, not to be used for actual self defense. It is a shame that people spend their time and money thinking that they are learning one thing, but in fact, are learning nothing.I know that potential students and parents might not know any better, but please, please at least google Shaolin-Do scam before spending your money and time (which is worth more than mis-spent money). Some bad teachers try to justify that what is being taught in class makes the students feel good about themselves and that is what the goal is anyway....I think there are better places to train and the fact that the school advertising themselves and their instructors as Shaolin is an outright lie and that is not what martial art training should be.
