Am beginning my journey with makeup! Now with kids flown & grown, I have time and funds to focus on myself. Walking into this store - bright, full of inventory and smiling faces. I feel welcomed, was immediately greeted and asked is they can provide assistance. Decided to focus on concealer and she quickly provided a warm hand off to another colleague with specialty in face makeup products.Quickly a relationship was forming - asking me preferences on coverage, color, purpose then about ingredients! Loved this extra question as I had not given this any consideration. She was able to fully assist me with a quality brand that used vegan products. She completed a color match that was "spot on" (LOL, see what I did there?). Also discussed how to build my makeup choices discussing brand variety. We also discussed Christmas gifts and how to make the most of packaged deals! Loved this tip. Wish I lived in Tucson....or maybe not, I can see myself here frequently :) The point is I made a trusted connection and didn't feel "sold to death" on one line or price point as happens in major stores (Dillards, Macys, Nordstrom, etc). Already planned a next trip to Tucson so I can visit my new Sephora consultant with a larger budget!

I've never really been into makeup just standard drug store stuff. I decided to see what this place is all about. Talk about overwhelming, there's so much makeup and beauty stuff I didn't know where to start. A lady walked up (probably due to me looking lost) and asked if I needed help with anything, they were busy so she asked the cashier to help out. I wanted to be shade matched with a foundation. She took a couple samples and walked me over to the makeup counter, she then proceeded to put a couple shades on the side of my cheek and neck with a Q-tip and then asked me what color matches better? I was like I don't know it's kinda hard to see the colors because of where so put them. Long story short I purchased the color she recommended and when I got home, it was way to light and far too pink for my skin tone. The next day I returned it and asked if I could get re matched. A different lady assisted me this time. I told her what was wrong with the color and she said well not all shades will match skin tones. She grabbed a few more colors and we tried again. This time the shade was more closer to my skin tone, she advised me my skin tone is more olive and then pink. It's good to know your skin tone before going in, and if you don't know ASK someone. I will definitely be back and will recommend this place to anyone looking for makeup or beauty stuff.
