Santa Cruz Chili Factory Gift Shop

Just passing through and found this spot. Immediately when walking up, he could smell the aroma of chili's and spices. Upon entering, there is a huge selection of spices available for everything. I almost picked up an Italian seasoning to make a dressing. I tried a few of their salsas on display and really liked the mild picante and hot green sauce. Definately a good spot for local spices, chilies, jellies, and of course salsa!

This is our go-to spot for Spices for over 20 years. It's in a Tiny Village named Tumacacori About ten minutes south of Tubac. All of this on a side road parallel to the Freeway leading to Nogales,Mexico. This is a store and a producing factory. There is nothing else but this place when you pull into a dirt parking lot scattered with vintage equipment. In the store the smells grab your imagination immediately. Like what is that and what can I make with it. There are testers of small shakers for about half of things. I brought home chipotle powder and a half dozen other treasures. The powder is for my crock pot chili. This time I picked up a $2.00 xeroxed spice and cooking directory , maybe I ll learn something. They have lots of kitchen accessories in cloth, hot pads n towels. Even Postcards at 20 cents each. This place is a shopping experience for your senses. There is a whole shelf of hot sauces and another shelf of off the scale hot spices. This is where they rate hot in a scale of One million. Pretty sure that's enough for my eggs. They are closed Sunday's, church day.

This is on our must-stop places when we visit Tucson. Their picante sauces are outstanding and if you like heat, they have the stuff that comes in glass with an eyedropper, too. We usually stock up on our favorites and it's unusual if we don't try a couple of new items too.It's in the middle of nowhere but still worth a trip especially if you're going to Tubac.

This place was definitely worth the drive. Countless amounts of interesting spices to choose from. Stocked up on a whole basket worth to try.

I have been a customer of this establishment (off and on) since the 1990's. I went on line Sunday and ordered a case of the hot picante sause and Tuesday there was a honk outside and it was the UPS delivery truck with my case of picante. I order it by the case because I know this product and like all of their spices and products, they are second to none. This is typical of my experiance with this company. very pleased!!
