We play it every month. When Troon took it over it was in dire shape and the water treatment plant smelled to high heaven in the summertime. Its challenging for a very average player like myself but has elevated greens and canyon play is fun. Almost as good as PDS in Sierra Vista.

Now a Troon managed course, the improvements to the tee boxes, fairways and greens are to be expected ... and welcome. It's great to see those improvements and know there is another worthwhile course in the area.

What a waste of $. From the two groups that didn't want to allow a single (me) to play with them to the hardscrabble condition of the course, a pretty miserable day. Long drives from hole to hole on rocky, dusty paths. This course makes the driving range in 'Tin Cup' look like Augusta National.

This is the only local course. Not a bad course! We tee'd off just before 9AM...it appeared to have been watered early this morning...overwatered to be exact. The cart path was really muddy and there were lots of places on the fairways that were soggy. But where the course was dry it was pretty good. There was a drink cart cruising around...the bloodymaries were good! No objections to playing this course again.

Our waitress Bella was lovely. The food was NOT: lukewarm hot wings and wrong hamburger. The kitchen sent out 6 new orders for people who arrived after burger was sent back and we waited oh 45 minutes, ok let's bag it and go. Get home and it was the same incorrect burger that we had sent back. Unforgivable and ordered med rare. this pos was well done. Sunday after 1 pm. Earlier in the day we met kitchen manager at garlic festival, sampled GREAT food. Her 3 kitchen staff boys should be fired, screwing over waitress and customer. I am so angry I feel like disputing the charge. Tipped in cash.Disgusting amount of flies inside ruined the view.YUCK!

This used to be a decent track. We went yesterday and it was either heat stressed/burnt grass or bare dirt. Greens are AWFUL! Tee boxes have NO GRASS. Bare dirt was mostly flooded. Pro shop helpers (mainly 20 somethings) could care less about your experience. "Not my job" is the standard answer. I bought the RIVRR CARD and sorry I spent the $ on it.

Played here for the first time with my buddy and two of his friends from Vail, AZ. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice and fun the course was. The staff was accommodating and super customer service-minded. I played pretty well for me (bogey golf) and am looking forward to another trip down sometime soon. It's a bit of a drive from the Foothills of Tucson for me but worth it.

Really enjoyed thus short tract. Though the course was short this is a strategic thinkers course. Really enjoyed my round and the staff was extremely nice and helpful.

Didn't expect much in Benson, but stumbled on this place as a last resort. A bit out of town, it's a local secret. The food is very good, not great, and they have a full bar.
