i'd like to send KUDOS out to Kalie & Tommy, in the meat dept for the excellent customer service i received from both. Kalie is new but you'd never know that with how professional she carries herself. I feel the same about Tommy who has been there a while now. They both have smiles before, during & after they help you. It's a genuine smile for sure. They say hello, smile and ask how they can help you with lots of sincerity. I'd like to tell the meat manager & the store manager that i am very satisfied with their service. Especially in this day and age when it's so hard to come by anymore. Thank you Kalie & Tommy for truly caring about your customer. I hope the manger(s) inform you of this 5 star review. If i could give more then 5 stars, i would. :) btw: i shop at this Safeway a few times a week and will continue to as long as people like these two work there.

Their produce is always fresh and crisp. Staff friendly and kind. Customer Service is outstanding! Yesterday, April 26, 2022, I left my car locked with purse in the front seat. My car keys, wallet, and cell phone where in that purse. Customer Service helped me by calling a locksmith to their location. A kind staff named Brandon was covering Customer Service late afternoon. His manager (didn't catch his name) approved  Brandon's phone calls. I was lucky to have had all this happen in safe place...indeed, they truly are SAFEWAY. Today was a good visit. Clean. I felt safe. I went for live lobsters and got them!!!The staff was friendly! I was able to go about my business, without a problem.Staff wore their masks properly! That is always a good thing.Selection is always good.

Worst experience ever, thank to LISA. I do not understand how she can treat a customer they way she treated me tonight. I have worked at a grocery store and know this is the absolute worst way you treat a customer. I pray I don't have to shop here anymore. Please Safeway look into her, and don't allow employees to treat customers in such a horrible manner. Complete disgust.

I wanna give a big shout out to steve.The new manager in the Meat Department, he is number one in customer service. I had a request for a meat product that he was able to accommodate or other stores wouldn't have done and told me no, he is personality plus and it's going to be a great asset for this store. Reduced hours. Only open during business hours now. Safeway doing their best to inconvenience their customers.

I went to the Starbucks here and had a worker named Sophie make my Matcha Latte. It was so good and she was the sweetest lady ever. I 100% recommend this Starbucks.

I was unsuccessful in trying to call the manager of this place. So now it's totally public.I had made an appointment for shingles shot at 3:30. I came in (2 minutes to spare), and young man attended to me. He said I already had done the work online so just needed to date and sign paper. I did. Told to sit on side and wait they will get to me soon.After 10 minutes I went back to window and asked if he forgot about me? He said no, they will be with me soon. At 3:45 he came out of pharmacy section, only to have a plastic basket TO DO HIS SHOPPING!I waited another 8 minutes and a young lady FINALLY came out to give me the shot and apologized for the wait, THAT NO ONE TOLD HER THAT I WAS WAITING!That young man has a problem with minorities? Twice he knew I was there and he ignored me!As I sat in the cubicle I noticed there were those plastic needle caps on the floor ( 6 of them, and 3 pieces of band aides on the floor. I mentioned to the young lady that those were unsanitary on the floor. She said YES, and left them there.John wasn't here. He is a consummate professional! All those low Yelp ratings are most likely from days he wasn't there. Next time I will make sure John is there on day I must get any vaccines.The grocery section is terrific. Great ppl always glad to help you.Manager of this Safeway = please see the video and see I'm not exaggerating. Also see the shot pieces on floor! John would NEVER allow things like that on the floor! On May 9, 2023, my husband and I went to our local Safeway on Sabino Canyon and Tanque Verde to grocery shop. As we were loading our car we heard a women yell I am going to get your license plate number and call the cops. We turned around and saw two males quickly loading up their car with groceries. I asked the Safeway staff member what happened and she said they just stole that whole cart of groceries. I began taking pictures of the males, their car, and their license plate. I provided these to the Safeway manager who called law enforcement. We don't know the outcome but hope these people were caught and charges filed. I know times are tough but it is people like this that have no clue how the world works. We as consumers all suffer with high prices to compensate for the money lost by these thieves. See pictures below. Thank you Safeway for being active in stopping these criminals and making our local grocery store safer. The thieves plate number is AZ RZA7FD. They were driving a Black Kia Soul 4D.
