Safeway Pharmacy

I have only been to the Pharmacy here at Safeway to get COVID-19 vaccines. It was easy to schedule my appointment online, fill out all the appropriate questions and print the necessary paperwork work at home. At the Pharmacy the people were great and easy to qork with.

I've been picking up my many prescriptions here for years, and the pharmacists and technicians are always friendly and helpful. They know me by sight and manage to remember everything I'm taking (by some small miracle), so I'm usually asked, "OK, so new drug X is probably a replacement for Y, right? Make sure to watch out for..." They're also super-fast about requesting refill authorization from my doctor, so I don't have any delay in getting refills.The staff is also knowledge about OTC meds, which is super useful if you've got a case of the sniffles, your head is kind of woozy, and you have no clue if you need guaifenesin or phenylephrine to get rid of a pesky cough.So thank you, Safeway Pharmacy, for keeping me well-medicated and watching out for me! :)

Should be zero stars, worthless pharmacist and associate. Couldn't be bothered to fill a prescription they had for nearly a whole day that consisted of a whole six pills. Had the audacity to tell us to come back... open bottle put six pills in a different bottle, nope too hard for them here was told to come back in a hour... worthless

I called on Monday. They were busy. I explained what I needed which was a fill for a vacation I was going on and it would be a 6 month supply. Gave the girl the name of the meds. I told her I just need to pick them up later this week she said ok. So here it is Friday and no one has called so I called and was rudely over spoken to by their clerk and the pharmacist who explained it's their policy not to fill a 6 month supply of my medication no matter what. BUT DID THEY CALL AND LET ME KNOW THAT NO THEY DID NOT SO NOW I HAVE TO SCRABBLE TO HAVE MEDICATION FOR THE DURATION. SO HOW DO THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS??? THEY DONT

This is the best pharmacy I've ever had the pleasure to deal with. The staff is tremendously helpful, cooperative and considerate. They answer the phone!!! They treat you as a patient. They are empathetic and courteous. What a rarity in this polarized, hateful society. Easy way to shop for groceries and pick up medications at the same time. Believe me, I will not get my prescriptions anywhere else.
