Safeway

We drove to a plaza in Green Valley. We didn't really want any fast food which was all that was in this plaza. We needed a little pick me up as far as food and stopped at Safeway for something nourishing. Got bagels, soup and yogurt. That was all we needed.Large shared parking lot and Wi-Fi.

The pharmacy is essential and very good. A little slow in refilling but price is great and so is staffWish their Frits and veggies were better quality. Citrus is bad and choices too limited. Why don't you compete with Sprouts. Checked out yesterday with Geraldine and Katherine. I had been bed ridden and unable to come to get my prescriptions. Eleven days. I was very fragile and nearly fainted. Had racing heart and hard to breathe. They recognize I was in terrine trouble and walked me to a bench, brought me water and a candy mint. I have them my card and they checked and bagged my groceries and checked on me giving me all sorts of options. After about 45 minutes I left with Rachel who bags groceries and she assisted me to the car and loaded all my groceries. What angels. I was very fragile. Now that I have food and my medications I am 24 hours better. It was pretty awful feeling so fragile. Thank you all for being so lovely to me. And caring. I feel blessed.

Employees look and act like someone just ran over their dog. Not very friendly at all. Not one of them asked me if I needed help, and when I asked if this was the price of something I got a reply of "ug" or whatever she mumbled. Walked passed three employees chatting in the produce section, and all 3 ignored me. A smile would be nice.

Waaay too expensive! Walmart and Fry's is more reasonable although groceries are high period! On my recent visit to the Continental store, I spent over $100 for one bag of groceries! Later, examaning my receipt, I found, for example, the same brand of orange juice was selling for a dollar less at Walmart and Fry's.

Whoever was working at the bakery on Saturday, September 28th literally ate chocolate off my cake in front of me. Wild man

Have had no issues in quite some time, thus three stars. Today I checked the website and the app for a specific item, Continental had it in aisle 10. So I drove up from 15m south and wasted my time. Nada. And there hasn't been this item at the store, according to Customer Service, in quite some time. Frustrated and wasted gas at a time that I cannot afford more expense than I already have. ugh

Needs more cashiers, of course! Usually nice store, nice Starbucks. Convenient to the highway for people passing by.

Prices at this store are outrageous. Nonetheless I stopped in this afternoon to pick up two items I needed for my recipe and had failed to get at Walmart and/or Fry's. As I was walking to the checkout I saw individual pieces of bakery cake in the front of the store and thought they'd be nice for desert. I should have realized they were up front because they were trying to unload them. The cake turned out to be hard, stale, and inedible. How dare you, Safeway, trying, and unfortunately succeeding in unloading your week-old garbage! As if you don't already make enough money with your outrageous overpricing on every single item in your store. That's it for me. Never again will I darken your doors. Shame on you!

Monday, Aug. 28, we made an unplanned visit to Continental Safeway. One of the items was eggs that were on sale. At the checkout the cashier was rudely berating the man in front of us who had not downloaded the coupons for 2 of the sale items. She huffed over to I-know-not-where; returned; then proceeded to give him the discounted price for his items. We were next and like him, we hadn't downloaded the discounted sale price for those eggs. She nastily asked the man in back of us if he had downloaded coupons for 3 of the items already on the conveyor belt. He quietly replied he had. She turned looked crossly at us saying "I just told that last man and now YOU'VE done the same thing"! She again stomped off to that unknown place, returned even more angrily, and punched in the sale price for the eggs. When I smiled and suggested taking a deep breath - her very rude and berating response, repeated twice was "That will not help . . . SIR! She hurriedly threw our groceries into the bags so haphazardly, that one item flew out of the bag and opened up after it landed on the floor. My question is: why is that woman working as a cashier, interacting directly with customers with such an unhinged attitude.
