S Silverberg & Sons Jewelers

Went in yesterday to get an heirloom piece appraised for insurance purposes and while they were very nice- they refused to appraise the ring unless I paid 3k to redo the ring completely. I wasn't opposed to doing this at some point but really just want it appraised in case of loss. Really disappointed that it was a 3k sale or nothing for them.

My husband took in his and my Rolex watches for repair and cleaning. We saved over a thousand dollars and close to six weeks by using Silverberg's independent watchmaker instead of sending the watches into Rolex. We received our watches today; they look beautiful and work perfectly. We are second generation customers of Silverberg and Sons - our daughter is third gen - for beautiful custom design, in-stock pieces, and repair and maintenance. They are truly skilled professionals and I cannot imagine getting this quality of knowledge, skill, and taste from a chain store in the mall. We would never consider going anywhere else.

Had a wonderful experience here on the purchase of my engagement ring! My fiancé and I had been looking at purchasing through BlueNile and a few other online stores but we still were hesitant to make such a purchase without seeing what we were getting and reading diamond information on paper is nothing like seeing it in real life!When we first reached out to Mark, we told him what we were looking for and provided a few photos. We were undecided on a few things such as oval or round and color grade. The in store experience was by far the best way to go! We scheduled an appointment where he had brought in diamonds of various sizes, color grade and shapes in the perimeters we specified. He went over each stone, laid them out next to one another and walked us through he process of selection. He guided us in the process that allowed us to make an informed decision as to which ring was perfect for us. At the end the results will be beautiful! There is no online store that could ever of given us the personal touch and catered to assistance like this family owned and operated jewelry store. We are so happy that we decided to put our trust in them! It was a great experience where we felt the additional nominal cost was worth it. Being able to see things in person and deal with a reputable store that gives you that special attention when making such an important decision exceeded the savings we would have made getting our ring online. Not to mention we were able to get a little more customized with the ring setting where online stores had some limitations with styles available. Overall we highly recommended staying local and seeing what you're buying before you make the purchase!

I am reading some of the 1-star reviews and I am floored. I have been going to this place for years and never experienced even close to any of that. I got engaged 10 years ago and even though we didn't end up getting married we remain friends and he gave me my rings. At one time he looked into selling my engagement ring for me and Marc explained that even though the diamond was great quality and beautiful the market was saturated and he wouldn't make me an offer because the ring was far more valuable. Later on I took it back and was going to have earrings made when Marc explained that I may not want to wear studs that large. He recommended a necklace and he was right! He took the diamond out of the ring and set it in a halo necklace for me which turned out beautiful. I had it back in TWO DAYS and it was very reasonable. After about a week I decided I wanted the chain to be a little shorter (about 4 CM) and turned that around equally as fast and for free. About a year later, after looking at the big box shops, I convinced my Grandpa to take a ring my grandmother had lost the ruby out to Silverberg. Marc found the perfect ruby for it. Since it was a Christmas present we just took the loose stone, which he wrapped up. We didn't want to use the bank card since it was a gift and had to leave to get cash. He told us that was no issue and we could come back later that day or the next if that was easier. The day they opened after Christmas they mounted the ruby in her ring IN A DAY. My best friend and Aunt had loose prongs and wanted to have her engagement ring soldered to her wedding band, which also happened to be her grandmother's. The store my Uncle bought her engagement ring from told her they could do it but would have to send the rings out and it would be weeks. There was no way she was going to allow her grandmother's ring to be mailed off. I referred her to Silverberg and not only did they solder the rings together, IN HOUSE, in a few days but they also fixed the loose prongs for $23. She was so relieved and loved her service. I had to have my engagement set from my now husband engaged for insurance. I took it to the big box store he bought it from (not his fault, he didn't know) and they wanted $120 even though it was their ring and came with their official card. I took it to Silverberg because I trust them more and they charged less than half!I have been wanting a sapphire necklace for some time and just happened to ask if they had anything when I was getting my ring appraised. They had the most beautiful, perfect necklace ever. I couldn't justify the purchase with the wedding coming up. My husband overheard me telling my grandma about it and surprised me with it the night before and I got to wear it on our wedding day. They have appraised numerous articles for me, serviced several pieces of jewelry and sold us some of the best pieces. They don't go out of their way to follow you around and chat you up because they don't have to. You don't ever feel pressured to buy anything but I have always received the best service. My husband and I will never go anywhere else.

I recently needed to have my wedding ring, band, and engagement ring resized because I couldn't get them over my knuckle. From start to finish, Silverberg and Sons provided outstanding service. I dropped off my rings, and they were ready within just a couple of days. I have some jewelry that I no longer need. I had been diagnosed with cancer in November 2022. After surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments I needed cash. I had dealt with Silverbergs before and knew that I could trust them. They brought one of my pieces of jewelry and I am very grateful and appreciative of their professionalism. I am ever thankful for the opportunity to work with them.

Silverberg Jewelers has been my go-to jeweler for many years. Incredible quality and design at a fair price. But more than this is the generous service they provide. Due to a recent injury my ring finger is permanently larger. Edward resized my wedding ring and re-engraved it at no charge! This is just one example of the old style service that I have experienced for years. I remain grateful for their personalized care every time I have been in for purchase or service.

I husband and I were going to take a lovely vacation to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Then the virus hit. We decided instead to commemorate it with a gold ring for each of us. Friends recommended Silverberg & Sons. We worked with Edward, the owner, who couldn't have been more helpful or patient. We ultimately selected a ring that they had in stock for my husband but we had one custom-made for me, using diamonds from a previous ring. The design was came up with was a challenge as the diamonds were quite small. They actually made it twice since the first time the settings were not secure enough. They couldn't have been nicer to deal with and were determined to get it right. A happy ending for our anniversary.
