Wyatt Foose is one of the best service technicians I've ever dealt with. He's respectful, professional, and highly knowledgeable. He explained everything like a great teacher would! I think he should train all technicians to deliver the same kind of customer service.Russet Southwest always delivers so I give them a perfect rating in terms of service requested, quality and value.

Our system was living on borrowed time. It was 22 years old and starting to show it's age. Even though it was still working, I didn't think it was going to make it through another hot Tucson summer. I called literally almost every HVAC place in town and decided on Russett. They did a really really good job. Our house is old (built in the 60s) so getting a new system in the closet was level 10 difficulty but they got it done. They were here for about 12 hours on a Friday and it was great by the time they left and has worked great now for a few weeks. The reasons why I chose Russett:1. They are an authorized Lennox dealer. 2. Their prices are great-- compared to one other authorized Lennox dealer in town.3. They have a long history in Tucson. Everyone in the HVAC industry (and House Building) here knows who they are.4. Their finance deals are good and low-- a lot of places in town want you to open a Wells Fargo credit card which is a nonstarter for me. The finance company is also easy to work with--- everything is done online. And the APR is low and known upfront. No hidden fees or weirdness.5. Being a female-- this part is really important-- they dealt entirely with me-- not my husband. He left it to me and there were some places in town that sent out patronizing a-holes for salesmen. They assumed because I was female, I would not understand a SEER rating or what a split system was or how much tonnage I needed. Cody from Russett was great and the installers were really good and respectful and cleaned up after themselves. I also liked that Cody and I could communicate through email-- which works best for me. All in all, a great experience. I would highly recommend Russet.

Bit disappointed for a company that has been in business for 75 years. This is my experience with them, purchased a brand new house from Miramonte Homes a local Tucson builder 2 years ago. Russett Southwest company did the HVAC system. It is a Lennox system. With the heat recently, my tenant turned on the air conditioner but was not cooling. Called Russett and they said they will come out to inspect and would cost $88 per half hour to diagnose the issue plus parts and labor after the root cause was determined. I decided to pass and go with my expert HVAC person who I trust 100% and they immediately troubleshooted the issue just by listening to the system. Root cause was determine to be a bad installation.Quoting him "Diagnose HVAC unitFound low/no charge. Found leak on suction line oil everwhere. Been leaking for some time from original install id assume."Repair:Pumped unit down and re brazed suction line at condenser. Pulled vacuum and leak tested braze.Recharged with about 10 lbs 410a and dailed in charge 8°sub cooling 15°super heat due to zoned system. Sytem ran great after repairs however running low for a year can shorten life of compressor but as of now it working ok.I called the original installer and requested because of a defective install they should cover the cost of correcting the mistake. I think the brazing that was done was weak and over time failed. My AC man also mentioned that running the compressor with low coolant shortens the life of the AC unit.As a result, I had to consume the $810.00 charge to fix something that was defectively installed. I informed the president of the HOA to let the other owners know my experience. Also will drop a message to Miramonte homes. Spoke to Jeff the general manager and he offered a "free" inspection, i politely decline.I would have settle for something like "I apologize that this happen to you, we install 100's of units and do sometimes have defective installs, can you provide details and pictures and will speak to my foreman and take corrective actions so subsequent install would not fail in this area.I tried to plead my case, but he would not budge on my request to take responsibility and do the right thing. For me I am not bitter or angry about this and will not lose sleep. Judging from the previous postings it seems to be a common theme what I experienced. I am very surprised as Tucson is a small town based on word of mouth and integrity. If you need an expert HVAC person let me know.

My experience has been a mixed bag. In terms of responsiveness, they are top notch. I have always gotten someone to come look at the problems promptly. Also they keep computerized records so that they have a history of the units. Where they fail is with different technicians who are inconsistent in repair. Also, they do not properly record the service history. I have had the same problem "fixed" for the 3rd time, as the previous fix was improper. I plan to make sure that I keep my own records so that I don't get charged for the same problem.

Not a good look for service van #103 to be toking it up in the McDonald's drive through on Cortaro, during the morning commute between about 7:30-7:45 am. Employee at the drive through window confirmed it as well. Stoned technicians could be a contributing factor to the mixed bag of service reviews in here. I would pass on this company-

Russett Southwest installed a new HVAC / Furnace system in my 50s-era Tucson home. The furnace had to be installed in a narrow closet because I have solar on the roof. (The new unit replaced a defective six-year old-furnace that was further botched by another contractor, causing me years of problems.) Because it was a such small space, it required some serious engineering. The Russett team was experienced and highly professional. The end result looks and works great.

I have used Russett for several years for my annual servicing. Recently I had a lightening strike which caused damage to my heater, router, and my stove. I called Russett and they sent someone out right away. The tech explained the board fried and he would call and check on availability. An appointment was made the next day for the installation. The technician never showed up during the four hour window. I called dispatch and they tossed the technician under the bus and blamed him for not showing up. When the technician finally made it to my house the following day, he explained he was running late on a job with the office involved. They should have notified me but dropped the ball. The furnace finally was fixed and the technician suggested a whole house surge protector. I agreed and he told me the office would call me to set up the appointment. I waited for a week and never received a call. I called someone else who installed for half the price and they actually showed up when they said they would. A month later, I had to call them again as the heater quit working again. Another tech and another charge telling me the sensors were dirty and one of the previous techs installed the doors on incorrectly which he fixed. I asked if the previous techs installing the circuit board should have checked the sensors and he replied yes. I'm pretty disappointed with the office. UPDATE:I received a call almost immediately after posting this review. The manager apologized profusely and took responsibility for the error. I scheduled a new appointment for them to service the heater. The technician was prompt and very polite. Russet has redeemed themselves and I appreciate that they took responsibility for their lack of follow-up.

I called this company an 05/16/2024 because my AC failed, they checked the AC and informed me on the phone that the fan stopped and we need to replace fan and capacitor. They charge me $430.00 but they only changed my capacitor, a couple of hours later my AC failed again and I called them back, they informed me that i need to replace the motor, I told them that I was thought the fan was just installed, they informed me that only the capacitor was replaced, they charged me an additional $422 dollars including a discount for having to come a 2nd time for the same problem. The next day I talked to the Manager and he offered to refund a few few dollars, I was very upset and he agreed to reimburse $342.00 for the parts onlyI end up paying $510.00 for a fan motor and a capacitor. The first technician was very dishonest and took advantage that i was not in the house to charge me $430 for a capacitor.I don't trust this company, check parts cost online to see if they are being fair to you and check that they really install the new parts before they leave. The manager should remove the entire cost of the firs visit since they really abuse of me.If possible use a different company.

It lasted 5 years Russett. And everyone of those years had costly repairs. The install is so bad... that every contractor I've had on the roof to replace it just shakes their head or laughs. How have you stayed in business this long?
