Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

Everything was great! My sister and I do a YouTube channel called Pickleball RV adventures and we were riding our bikes when we came across Rudy's country store barbecue . anyways it was fantastic. I read some review that some lady said she returned the food because it was pink that's called smoking the meat. I don't get it. It was great. We bought two brisket sandwiches and brought them back for the next day, the ribs were great. The smoked turkey!!! Fantastic and we got the jalapeño cheddar sausage

Perfect for a carnivore like me who is married to someone who isn't as devoted to eating meat. You can order as much or little of the meats and sides as you want. While they may suggest half-pound portions, they don't bat an eye at my wife's quarter-pound orders. Prices are great, and even better with the 10% veteran discount (or 20% on, I think, Mondays).Sure, I've had better brisket at places like Leon's World's Finest Barbeque in Galveston. But it's fine here too.Parking is ample, and there are many spaces dedicated to disabled patrons and for order pick-up.Special shout-out to new (I think) cashier Kassandra who thought to ask if we were new to Rudy's. And who kindly offered a free sample of the green chile stew when I asked what meat was in it (it's brisket). That's how you do it!

I got half chicken and it was bloody, the guy argued with me, the fat under the skin was not rendered and the meat was cold. He gave me another that was barely cooked. I didn't eat it. Husband got prime rib it was tough and unseasoned, also cold. I tasted it and just handed it back to him. The brisket was ok and my turkey was good, ribs were ok but 3 bones with very little meat on them made 1/2lb of mostly bones. We always eat at Rudys as I'm a carnivore. I'll never get the chicken again, nor will he get prime rib. We will definitely not be stop at that Rudys.

This Rudy's did not disappoint! It tasted the same as it does and Texas and they even had blue bell ice cream! The customer service was excellent and I was in and out in minutes. I ordered the turkey sandwich and 1/2 lb lean brisket. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach but it didn't stop me from enjoying every last bite!

This is not our first time here. The food is not as good as I remembered. The moist brisket & baby back ribs are kinda dry and hard to chew.Luckily, they have good sauce to make the food edible.

Everything was good- service, ambiance and of course the barbecue. A bit too loud for me but it was manageable. 4.2 stars.

Delicious comfort food from the friendliest staff. Every option was awesome but I loved the brisket and turkey on a giant potato. Wide open seating, outdoor patio, easy location to access. My new favorite go-to BBQ in the southwest.

Rudy's BBQ is always a solid choice, especially as there's not too many good local BBQ spots in town. Their brisket and turkey are consistently flavorful and tender, and the banana pudding is absolutely amazing--a must-have treat. A downside for us is that the baked potato has been a bit dry the last few times. They also offer breakfast options that I haven't tried yet but definitely want to soon. Overall, a great spot for BBQ with a few minor hiccups!

We had a nice early dinner at Rudy's during the last week of September and it was a pleasant surprise. We liked the turkey Sandwich and the brisket sandwich. I thought the jalapeno cheddar sausage was tasty and flavorful. The real standout was the green chile stew! I recommend giving them a try.

Súper disappointed went today and bought almost 100.00 of ribs and meat to go and when I got home (I live an hour from there) and we were going to eat our bbq I noticed the bread they gave me moldy bread.I don't know how the health department does not check that and I wonder if that is the only old food they sell there
