Friendly welcoming as a first time visitor. Didn't want to disturb the pottery class, so didn't view the inside. Just a peek.

Friendly and helpful instructors and studio monitors who go out of their way to make one feel welcome and successful. My husband and I signed up for a class and were able to access the studio for 1 week -basically 12 hours a day. We did need to work around the class schedule, but that was no problem. Once the 3 hour class was over, we felt confident using the studio and taking care of the equipment and facility as instructed. A few glitches prevented us from finishing our work: the studio was closed for the annual pottery sale which cut the firing times and open studio time; so we are taking home unfired and unglazed pots. A bit disappointing but oh well. We learned a great deal, met interesting and kind people, and had fun. I highly recommend DC who was always willing to answer questions and demonstrate; and George and all the monitors were extremely patient and helpful. Thank you to all the great artists at Romero House Potters!

I took two wonderfully instructive classes at Romero House. Starting with Nan, she oriented me to the workings of the place and set me off on the right track to realizing a project I had in mind. I am a beginner, and Nan gave me the confidence to keep trying. Then I took a class with George whose diligence and vision kept me on my toes. He instructed me on how to keep my, perhaps, overly ambitious project from failing, showing me not only how to make repairs, but to see the progress I was making. George has been an inspiration. One further note, the atmosphere of Romero House is great; it is a convivial and affable place to create.

I just finished a few classes at Romero House and had a great time. This was my first experience with paper clay and glazing. My instructor, George Penalota, helped me through the whole process from start to finish and I brought home some nice pieces. George is the go-to person for paper clay, he has lots of his pieces on display and I was able to incorporate some of his hand building techniques. Paper clay is easy to work with and repairable. George showed us how to fix broken pieces and gave us a special recipe for the repair. The atmosphere is laid back and being around other artists is very inspiring. I feel like I can return at any time and be welcomed back to take up where I left off.

First visit. People here are genuinely nice. Teachers have many years of experience and they're not stuck up on sharing their experiences and knowledge unlike the other studios around town. If you're not a "click " to their group then you don't learn much from them. It's like attitudes really matters ... here, artists and potters alike are nice

This is an exceptional pottery collective with professionals and teachers sharing ideas with a diverse group of students aged from college to the retired. Classes here include hand built, pottery wheel, and paper clay - sculpture. If you're looking for a artisanal gift, its tough to beat the wide variety of styles and themes available. When you stop in, ask for the 'monitor' to offer a brief overview of the facilities.

My wife and I took classes here while we were in town for a month and had an AMAZING time learning new skills. It's important to see progress and success when trying something new. It's what keeps you coming back for more. Ariel and George made sure that happened, they excelled at helping us feel like bosses and leave with really cool projects. Now we've got to figure out how to get our masterpieces home.

Had a great lesson with George! All the potters here seem knowledgeable and the studio has a great community. Would definitely recommend to anyone regardless of clay experience!
