We had an excellent time at RCR. The two bedroom two bath casita was spacious and modern, with a well stocked kitchen, beautiful bathrooms and super comfortable beds. The casita had beautiful mountain views, a spacious patio and convenient trail access. If I'm not staying with family locally, I'll always try tostay at RCR. Thanks Bill and Gretchen!

So, I'm conflicted writing this review. On the one hand, Rincon Creek Ranch and the farmhouse casita my family stayed in were AWESOME. On the other hand, I so loved the quiet relaxation I'd kind of like to keep the awesomeness to myself, so that way the place doesn't get overrun by a horde of people. For peace and quiet, beautiful scenery and tastefully appointed casitas literally next to Saguaro National Park (East) this is your best bet. The owners Gretchen & Bill are thoughtful and gracious hosts and they really thought of all the little details to make this a worthwhile experience. I recommend getting groceries at the Safeway on your way in because once you're there you won't want to leave the ranch!Yes, there is a dirt road going in.

Ended up out here for a pop up restaurant event which the owners were nice enough to host - so while I can't speak to the casitas I can speak to the area. It's really far out and you basically wouldn't know you're 20 min away from Tucson. The grounds are beautiful and the hosts are very nice. They'd be a great couple to sit out on the porch and drink a beer with. If you're looking for a get away or a small southwestern ranch vacation I'd recommend trying it.

Absolutely beautiful in every way and everything exceeded high expectations! The casita was not only comfortable, but so well-appointed that we didn't want to leave - we want this to be our home-away-from-home! The kitchen was very well equipped, and I love to cook so that worked out incredibly well for everyone. The Ranch has a story - Bill and Gretchen are incredibly welcoming and warm and will share their love of the Ranch with their guests. We loved spending some time talking about the history of the Ranch with them; it's clear they love and respect the land their Ranch sits upon, and rightfully so. The Ranch abuts the Saguaro National Park, and the views are spectacular, right from your very own rocking chairs on the porch. The trails are amazing around the ranch and the flora is so beautiful in the spring. Anyone who hasn't seen this desert in spring must take a trip to experience this unexpected beauty. Even their horses in the meadow are welcoming. They have a darling "community center" that has a pool table and table shuffleboard with a few tables to sit around. Gretchen even set out home-baked cookies (and they are award winningly delicious) for guests. The birds sing and you can hear the buzz of nature, while the winds blow the palo verde and flowers. Cactus bloom unexpectedly vibrant colors. It's incredibly peaceful and soothing to the soul. There was a lot of sketching and painting going on with our family around the ranch, with an inspirational vista at every turn, trail, and casita. We are already planning our next trip back. What a beautiful experience and thank you to Bill and Gretchen for building this lovely destination and creating this "little slice of heaven" for their guests!

Wow. I don't even know where to start this review, and I talk a lot - so that must be a comment within itself. Hall and I originally booked a trip to Santa Fe and then he read the famous Arizona Highways article about Rincon Creek Ranch. Each year, we take a trip in February since it's both Valentine's Day and my birthday. He came home and showed me the article and the website for Rincon Creek Ranch and I was sold. We arrived on Friday afternoon after stopping by the Desert Museum and were greeted by Bill at the main house. He gave us an amazing tour through our casita (Appaloosa) and let us know that Gretchen and the other guest were currently at the Happy Hour in the main building, once we were unpacked and ready to join. The casita was stunning. As we would learn later, Gretchen had designed each casita individually with complete relaxation in mind. From the letter greeting us, the fresh farm eggs, the fireplace, to the kitchen fixtures, the copper clawfoot tub, walk-in shower, giant king bed, plush robes, rocking chairs on the porch - NO cable or wi-fi. The oasis we had been looking for, to reconnect after a crazy couple months of wedding planning, working and to enjoy our beautiful state. So we freshened up and headed to the happy hour. Gretchen and Bill poured wine, beer and prepared wonderful appetizers where we all sat and got to know each other for over 3 hours. It was the most we had relaxed in weeks. Hearing the amazing story of how the ranch came to be, the love they had poured into each and every detail, the hilarious stories. Our hearts were full. We went home, cooked food in the fully-prepared kitchen (we brought groceries and they also supply you with a cheat sheet of all grocery stores and restaurants prior to your arrival). On Saturday, we hiked 9 miles through both their nature trail (where we met a BLM Mustang, other horses, humans and saw so much wonderful nature). We then made lunch and proceeded out into the Saguaro National Park for 7 more miles. The best part was the quiet. and the wildlife. There were hundreds of birds, some beautiful mule deer, roadrunners (which I know are birds but OMG), coyotes, the list goes on. After our hike, we ventured to another vacant cabin to sit on the porch *which Gretchen and Bill had encouraged us to do*, brought our binoculars, bird watched and just enjoyed the absolute stillness. That evening, we stargazed and saw every star in the night sky from the comfort of a blanket, watched a DVD from the collection in the main house, and curled up for an amazing night of sleep. I did wake up when a pack of coyotes got a rabbit outside our house, but seriously, HOW COOL. The next day, I did some yoga, we hiked and begrudginly packed our things. Gretchen met us outside the casita to bid us farewell and I have never been sadder to leave a place. We had the most wonderful time and I would recommend everyone to take a trip to Rincon Creek Ranch. I think we will even go back in the summer to watch the monsoons now that we bought a truck, I can imagine that would be such a wonderful sight. Thank you to Gretchen and Bill for making us feel like family and for the trip of a lifetime.

Rincon Creek Ranch is a relatively newly opened guest ranch and event venue. We were referred to it by the pastor at our wedding venue. The ranch has one and two bedroom casitas. They are not traditional casitas as I remember them. These are brand new houses with great construction and amenities. Our group stayed in a one bedroom and a two bedroom casita. They were beautiful. Gretchen and Bill did an awesome job with the casitas and all the little details. The casitas have their own feel to them but have in common great bathrooms, full sized washer and dryers, full kitchens, fire places, great linens, etc. They even left a basket of farm fresh eggs from their chickens in each of the casitas. I can't say enough about how nice the accommodations were. The ranch backs up to Saguaro National Forrest and the views are magnificent. I found myself sitting on the patio in a rocking chair drinking my morning coffee just taking in the view. They also have a community house where there is a pool table, entertaining area, DVDs, etc. Of note, there are TVs in each of the casitas but no cable or satellite tv yet. I actually find this a benefit. The only potential drawback of the ranch is actually getting to it. Part of the road is carved out of the desert. The packed dirt roads are susceptible to rain run off and is basically off roading the last mile or so to the ranch. While you can probably get your Prius up there, you need to have confidence and remember the route if you are driving it in the dark. It really isn't that bad but something to point out.We can't wait to go back to enjoy the ranch and Bill and Gretchen's hospitality.

Room rates are WAY TOO $$$ ! I've stayed before yrs ago, 'cannot afford it anymore, obviously only the 1% can, not exactly a hotbed of activity anyway... but peaceful i guess. Please think about offering more than just your slow season specials :(

Finding this place made us a believer in Devine Intervention! We're Tucson locals and were wanting to find a special getaway to celebrate our recently formed relationship. We did a Google search for Deluxe Tucson getaways. We called and spoke with owner Bill (with his wife, Gretchen) and Bill couldn't have been more warm and inviting. He spent time on the phone with us patiently explaining the various Casita options for the dates we were inquiring about. We ended up spending three nights (extended our stay by a night!) and were thrilled with our good fortune at discovering such a marvelous place...and only 23 minutes from our home! (Though you'll find it we'll worth the travel time regardless of the distance.)We stayed in the Sonoran Vineyard Casita and, as advertised, everything was absolutely first class- the decor is tasteful and soothing, with every possible amenity included from a gourmet kitchen with every imaginable convenience, to a fully stocked wood burning stove and luxurious him and her plush bathrobes! We've already re-booked for Valentine's Day Weekend and our birthdays a month later!Treat yourself to something very special and book your reservations soon!Steve and Rebecca
