We stayed here for a few days in February. I booked a suite as I needed room to work late and let my wife sleep. There was a door between the two rooms so that was good. The entry to the room was through the sleeping area, would have preferred it was in the sitting area but that's minor. One big issue is there was only one air conditioner, in the sleeping area. Since it was February this was not a big issue but in the summer, it would have been uncomfortable as I wouldn't have been able to close the door! There was a small, dirty vent and fan (that didn't seem to work or have a switch) between the rooms (see picture). The sitting area had a small microwave; a fridge that didn't get very cold, a desk with rolling chair and two fixed back chairs. A recliner would have been nice. The carpeting was worn and stained (see picture). One more note about the A/C- it was a "below the window" unit and it blew the bedroom curtains about like a windstorm. To retain any privacy I had to pin the curtains down with shoes. Outside of the room there were a couple nice touches, such as cocktail hour and free breakfast. However, the dining room was too small so very crowded in the morning, and staff had trouble keeping up with stocking hot water; food items; and clearing trash. Staff was generally friendly and helpful. Both sleeping and sitting rooms had a nice sized wall mounted TV with HBO.

Due to our home air conditioner dying in 100 degree weather we ended up having to find a place to stay for a night that was pet friendly. We ended up at Red Lion and couldn't have been more pleased. The room was immaculate and well appointed. We appreciated the roominess of the sitting room. Our room also had a nice kitchenette with appliances and cooktop. We didn't make use of it this time but it would be great for an extended stay. The bed was large and comfy with an alarm clock specially designed to charge all your devices. We also loved the complimentary toiletries from Cascadia Soapery. I've actually been trying to find their hemp and lemon conditioner online! The pool area is gorgeous with ramada and nice landscaping. The complimentary breakfast exceeded expectations. We've stayed at hotels for twice the price whose breakfasts were not this good. They had hot food including bacon, eggs, sausage, potatoes and waffles. All in all a great short stay and an incredible price. We'll be recommending to all out of town friends and family when coming to Tucson. It was also Lady Snow approved.

DOG FRIENDLY, clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a decent priced stay for you and your pooch this is the spot. No frills, but clean and free breakfast. I frequent here when on a budget travelling with my dog.

Perfectly nice hotel. We found this hotel because we were traveling across the country with my pup. Not only was this hotel pet friendly with plenty of pet pickup stations, but the bathrooms had luxury soaps, spacious rooms, and friendly staff. My only complaint was that Tucson was 112 degrees during our stay and our room took a while to cool down; however, it seemed like every store and restaurant was facing the same problem so I will still give 5 stars.

dirty old hotel, don't let the professional photos fool you! Cleaning crew does a very poor job and clearly not enough attention paid to repairs or upkeep. It's sad because Red Lion used to have a good reputation.

Guests should be aware, that the front desk will make a photocopy of your driver's license, and then later on make a digital copy of your driver's license without your knowledge. According to the front desk, it is for compliance with an IRS audit. According to the manager it is a Tucson Police Department policy. On a positive note, the beds are comfy, and the price was cheap, but to me wasn't worth risking my privacy.

I honestly have nothing nice to say about this place, its a complete outdated dump. The lamps hasve two bulbs and only one of the bulbs has a shade over it. The bathroom sink looks ratchet, all in all a dump. Also --- completely ironic that the two super negative reviews are not recommended.

This place is great for the money. I spent less than $600 for a whole week. The room was immaculately clean when I checked in. Tub is clean and the fixings look new and nice. Bed is big and comfy. Most of all, the staff are so extra friendly. Check in was easy and the explanation of the charges was clear and concise. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to the area. As far as nice, comfortable modern accommodations, I am very surprised of the quality for the price. I'd stay here again over a larger business like holiday inn. I'm pretty impressed.
