I called Recyco on Monday for a quote for aluminum. .50 lb. A stranger at my VA appointment recommended I proceed down 6th ave to Arizona Recycles. Big mistake. Az Recycle is located in middle of nowhere and were only paying.40 lb. I wish Recyco had told me they were located beside the American Legion Post 36 which I am a member of. .10 lb would have made a nice difference since I had a truck load.

Thanks to the guy working the day I was there. I will get your name next time. First time I did this and it went smoothly. Finally my beer drinking is paying me. I told them in AA I could be a successful drunk and I have a receipt for $9.61 cents to prove it.

First thing I would like to say that the employee wouldn't help me move any of my metal didn't let me see the total weight of metal that was being put on the scale didn't look through or sort any of the aluminum that I had brought in gave me the lowest possible amount of money for the aluminum I brought in 70 lb of aluminum and didn't even make $20 I found that the employee was rude in my brief encounter customer service was poor honest I think the guy probably made money off my order by giveing me the lowest amount for the aluminum. I recommend going to another recycling place cuz you're probably going to get two or three times more money by going elsewhere. 4/23/22 12:43pm. Ken M.

To the "guy" who posted a one star review before me, I got something to say to you in a second. Great place, family and I have been coming here for decades. Best prices for scrap, especially cans. I bring everything but iron and steel here. As they dont take it, it is just a little place. To the guy who gave this place one star, my impression of you and your review is as follows, imagine the condescending whiny valley girl type voice: At my job and career (which is it) I hate surveys and Yelp (but I'm posting anyways since there was no survey to take) I should have known that there was a problem when I pulled up and I didnt see the valet anywhere. Being in dress clothes, I stood outside my car and expected that would be enough to attract attention of the valet to come a take my cans. To no avail. Another customer appeared and got immediate attention and cut in front of me just because he knew the secret sign to make to get it and because he unloaded the cans himself. So I finally got his attention and mentioned that I had cans in my car and he told me to bring them up. Like OMG, I have to bring up my own cans? He then tells me that I have to empty the bags of cans into some pre-weighed bins with holes in them (so theyll have the exact weight of the cans only and any fluid can drain out. They dont pay you for what's left of the contents of the cans. Duh.) By this time I am just beside myself, I mean no valet, I have to get the bags out of my own car and also empty them into bins?! Remember I'm in dress clothes, so they should have already known that they needed to do it for me. Everywhere else I go I get people to do everything for me, but this place was so stubborn. If that wasnt enough, he then tells me that I need to walk inside the doorway of this dirty place (they scrap metal, sorry it isnt as clean as your bed sheets. Because you must fall far short of what any woman would consider a man) and put the bin on the scale. OMG! You mean I have to touch the dirty bin, with my hands? And then I have to walk 3 feet through a dirty doorway and put it on a dirty scale?! By this time I'm freaking out inside. I'm then told that I need to walk another 3 feet to the cash register to get my money. Why cant they bring it out to me?! I have to walk a total of 6 feet inside a dirty area in dress clothes to get paid because I'm doing my part for the Earth? So no valet to remove the bags of cans from my car, making me actually have to do something by emptying them myself and taking to the scale inside a dirty place and they wouldnt even bring my money out to me. And they didnt even take the empty bags from me, nevermind the trash can right by the door, I just had to get out of there. More work than I've done my whole life and in dress clothes no less! (Sorry, the white glove high end service for special people like you is on sundays. When thier closed, because who would want to deal with your whining.) The drive thru luxury scrapyard with a valet and massage while you wait that I normally go to is way better. End of impression. Come to reality buddy. C'mon. You just get out and expect them to do everything for you and bring out your cash? Really?

At my job and career, I am constantly surveyed. I hate surveys and yelp but this was S**t! I read the reviews about this place before calling them. The woman that answered the phone was awesome. Friendly and quoted me prices that I needed. How I wish she greeted me. When I arrived in my dress clothes for the day, the front door was locked after they had been opened for at least 2 hrs. There was a "guy" sitting there that did not/would not acknowledge me. I was there for 5 minutes to be greeted. He came out and and had other business to do like emptying recycled cans into another bin. I waited! And waited. Another car pulled up and must have been a return customer who knew the procedure to get immediate attention...... When he finally acknowledged me as a customer, I told him I had 4 bags of cans. He told me to bring them up. I said do I leave you the bags of cans on the scale? He said no open the bags and empty them into the roll around bins. Remember, I am in dress clothes..... I emptied 3 bags into the bin and had a fourth one. I emptied that 4th bag into the other roll around bin. He looked at me and said roll it over to the scale and put it on it. WHAT! I am a customer getting a small increment of money for cans. I had to roll my own cans to the scale? I did as I was told. When I finally got my "reward" for my effort, I had to go into the garage to retrieve my shillings. He did not offer to take my used bags that held the cans. I put them in my trunk and disposed of them later. He would not come out to me to hand my money to me. I understand this is a hole-in-the wall shack but customer service is just that. I usually go to Desert Recycling for .10 cents per lb. less but I was in a time crunch. I will now drive the extra 5 miles to go to Desert Recycling for better service. I hope Sebastian wasn't the guy that was there today.... because this guy I dealt with today, 08/10/19 sucked!!!!!
