This place is open. I am physically here now. The DJ is bumpin and the drinks are flowing. Cool concept inside and great vibes.

R Bar, what a fantastic little spot in downtown. I started coming here shortly after moving to Tucson and I must say, it really has a Tucson feel. Quality drinks, good patio seating, and unique interior. I love the metal artwork they have on the back wall. It's a mural of everything Tucson. The dim lighting is really nice. I definitely think their mixed drinks are the best thing to get. My favorite is the rialtor (think Moscow mule but less sweet and more tart/acidic). I don't think I've ever had a bad drink here.R bar has become the bar I go to either when I'm beginning my night or ending it - never in between. It's a cool spot :]PS - I've never had the food. That'll be for my update one day!

Nice venue! Small but quaint. The bartenders were awesome. The restrooms were cute and clean as well. The entire place is red in decor and features a huge screen wall, booth seating and an upstairs as well as a patio. It was a rainy day but everything was opened up to the outside, easily accessible from either Congress or Broadway. They didn't have an ATM but there was one available next door.

Absolutely love this place! I go here for just a chill night out. It's my first stop if we are bar hopping downtown. I always find their menu to be changing which is great! I love that! The bar manager(looks like post Malone) seems to know how alcohol and his staff as well. However he has zero personality :( I want to have fun and have the person making my drink have a smile instead a face of misery after I ordered a drink YOU made. Anyways the atmosphere is Red hence the name and the music also changes and I love that! I also love the patio and the balcony. They use to have these amazing swivel chairs but they are gone now and MY FRIENDS AND I ARE SUPER SAD ABOUT IT.

R Bar is a hipster heaven. It reminds me of Kill Bill both volumes. I don't prefer the seating downstairs I usually go upstairs to the small tables and chairs for a quieter area to talk. The drinks aren't anything special and they don't have food. Word of advice about their bathroom: it looks like people can see you going to the bathroom behind the big screen... they can't. Tested and approved.

I Love, Love, Love this place, and the fact that it is all red is why I used that word so many times. From floor to ceiling every detail is thought of, and just so right and funk. The steel lasered mural depict all that is wonderful about Tucson, using every cliche piece of bad yard art sold in those creepy art fairs. There are the howling coyotes, the baby quail following their mother, A Mountain, Saguaros, and much much more, This is all delivered in over the top Fabulosity. I dig the space and will be coming back soon.

This is a precious bar recently opened in the alley just east of Rialto. It's contemporary, with a lovely red hue. While it is loud, it is not obnoxious. It, at times, can be quite romantic. And it is a strong draw for people who like to show all out in their bow ties and bodycon dresses. A group of us arrived celebrating the birthdays of two in our party. While it was somewhere around 11 p.m., we were able to get seated quickly. One boon to this bar is that there is a wonderful host, Richard, who floats about to ensure that your needs are met. What a wonderful touch!Another bonus: you can order from Gio Taco while at the bar. Management has an agreement set up but the restaurant. Good deal! Also, be attentive to the mural. It has a very stark message about gentrification.

Meh. OK beer selection and comfortable seating, but the music is too loud, staff is not really that friendly, and it's really just an OK kind of place. I'll go if someone specifically suggests it, but otherwise....

This place has potential and I liked that every single thing was red inside (except the bathroom sink/toilet which were white, should have put in black ones). We went on a Saturday night and they did not have table service so you had to order at the bar. The "bartender" seemed as though she had never made a cocktail before and was not very friendly. In fact the whole place had an off putting vibe. The friendliest one was the security guy who said goodbye to our party of 4. We paid $18 for a double vodka with a splash of cranberry which I thought was expensive since we had just left High Wire where we were paying $11 at the most for a craft cocktail! With all the other cool bars downtown, we won't be back to this one.

I liked it--another lil alley bar to have been able to check out. On a Saturday night, it was still pretty chill although there was a DJ spinning some tracks. But lots of space, lots of uh, CO2 spewing out of the walls (it adds to the whole effect, haha), and generally a good place to go out with friends for a drink or two.
