My experience at Pusch Ridge Stables was very much above average. Went for a two hour ride with two other gals in late October 2016 and found it to be a memorable experience. The trail was through the foothills of the Catalina State Park with a varied terrain. The guide was quite helpful on a few occasions. Scenery, horses and trail made for a very authentic experience for a city slicker! Owners of the stable are hands on. Would highly recommend.

Vicki and Frank were wonderful! we went for a 1 hour ride at 1 pm near the end of March. Vicki put my one son and I at ease as we had not been on horseback before. Frank, our guide, was a wonderful guide! We will go back for sure!!! This is a wonderful treat for the whole family!

I'm giving Pusch Ridge 5 stars but would give them 10 if I could! My husband and I went on the hour and half Sunset ride and it was amazing! We are both experienced riders and went with a group of people who had a variety of experience. The trail was on varied terrain, up hills and down into a small canyon, all in the beautiful Catalina State park. Our guide didn't talk too much and since it was couples she let us us talk amongst ourselves which was nice. She made sure everyone was having a good time and that the group was staying together. She also gave a little bit of history on one of the historical sites in the distance. The stables themselves are very nice and everything is really well taken care of. The horses are extremely well taken care of and are not overworked. They have shade when resting between rides and even a small snack. The owner lives on site and really cares about the comfort of her guests and makes sure you are given a horse to match your experience level. I can't wait to to go again, thank you Pusch Ridge!!!

I took my out-of-town parents for a sunset trail ride (keep in mind, my parents spend most of their evenings watching TV). The owner and staff were great and gave good directions...walked you through everything before you got on the horse. I think the price was about right...a little pricey for a larger group of people, but hey. The ride was just the right amount of time...and the horses were well behaved, but still took a little "working"...to keep them from eating the greenery along the trail. Personally, I am more outdoorsy and would have liked a little more of a challenging trail or a faster pace, but overall it was a very nice time. My parents loved it and a very memorable experience was had by all. An outing we will always remember.

it was kind of boring, the scenery was all flat, and the guide didn't talk to us.

The horseback riding was a Christmas gift to our daughter and her family which included girls aged 8 and 11. The staff was friendly and the facilities were nice. All the horses were well behaved and well-groomed. The staff picked appropriate size and temperament horses for each rider. Ample instructions were carefully given to each rider. We purchased the 1 hour trail ride since all were novice riders. The trail offers great views of the Catalina Mountains. An hour was just long enough. Everyone was happy with the riding experience. The stables are conveniently located just east of Oracle Rd.

I have been boarding my horse @ Pusch Ridge Stables for nearly 5 years now, and I have no desire to look elsewhere! The staff is amazing, the owners live on property, and the trails are exceptional! I never worry if I have to go out of town because I know my horse is in excellent hands. The owner, Vicki Pitts, is a lifetime horse owner, & will always alert you to any problem with your horse. The boarding fees are competitive with other stables, but you can't beat the trails! Right at the foot of the Catalina Mountains, there are exceptional views whichever direction you may want to head. The barns are always kept neat and clean, and it's a wonderful place to take anyone for horseback trail rides. I highly, highly recommend Pusch Ridge Stables to anyone either for boarding or trail rides!

The terrain was beautiful.... the owner and trail guide were incredibly rude, non-engaging, and made us feel as if we were imposing on their day. I will never go back. The trail guide left me and my husband so far behind for the ride that we could not enjoy the moment with the rest of our family. Most of the time, we could barely see them. The fees are steep for this kind of poor customer service. shame on them. DO NOT GO.
